Edison giving the whole speech, casually voting for himself and then going "my vote actually mattered!?" is very poetic and I'm having 2016 US flashbacks
I feel like the best person to be Toast' partner is a maniac killling machine so he can just manipulate in the background since once Toast gets even smidge amount of clearance, his words are the law and it makes you question your own decisions and go with him. That's how his presence affects the lobby without 5up and the others
The probability of that “random” vote on Abe is: (Assuming people won’t vote for themselves) 6 people voted for Abe with probability 1/7. 1 person voted for not Abe with probability 6/7. There are 7 possible ways that could happen. The equation is: 7*(1/7)^6*(6/7)= 0.0051% That means 1 in every 19,608 votes. If people can vote for themselves, it’s actually more likely since Abe could vote for himself: 0.0082% or 1 in every 12,228 votes.
The factor 7 would only apply if the recipient is arbitrary. For Abe specifically it should just be (1/7)^6*(6/7) OR 6/(7^7) which is 0.0000073% OR a chance of 1 in 137,257
The math answer: it's the binomial theorem. The chances of any one player voting for a specific player is 1/9 (you can skip). Then the chances of all 8 players voting for the same player is (1/9)^8 = 2.32 * 10^(-8) The chances of 7 players voting for the same player and the last player voting for someone else is (8 choose 7) * (1/9)^7 * (8/9)^1 where 8 choose 7 = 8!/(7!(8-1)!) so it's 8 * (1/9)^7 * (8/9)^1 = 1.49 * 10^(-6) The chance of 6 players voting for the same player and the last two players voting for someone else is (8 choose 6) * (1/9)^6 * (8/9)^2 = 4.16 * 10^(-5) Add those three numbers together and you get 4.31 * 10^(-5) However, there are 8 possible people that people are voting for, so multiply it by 8 and you get 3.45*10^(-4) = 0.03%
@ExtremistAcorn (1/8)^6 is if you have exactly 6 people all voting for the same person. But what if you have 6 out of 7 voting for the same person? The probability is different. And for 6 out of 8, it's different as well. You have to take into consideration that the other two are not voting for the person, and that there are different ways for the combination to be selected. So specifically for exactly 6 people voting for one person and assuming no one skips, so it's 1/8 instead of 1/9, you have (1/8)^6 for the 6 people who voted for the same person, but then also (7/8)^2 for the 2 people who didn't vote for them, and then there are 8 choose 6 ways for the 6 people to vote for them, which is 8!/(6!(8-6)!) = 28. So it's 28 * (1/8)^6 * (7/8)^2 = 0.008%. Now, this actually doesn't stop here. 0.008% is the chance that there are exactly 6 people voting for the same person and no one skips. But you still have to take into consideration 7 or 8 of them voting for the person as well, since those are events that also have 6 people voting for the same person. That's why you have to use the binomial theorem to figure this out. Exactly 6 votes for the same person, no one skips = 8 choose 6 * (1/8)^6 * (7/8)^2 = 0.008% 7 votes = 8 choose 7 * (1/8)^7 * (7/8)^1 = 0.0003% 8 votes = 8 choose 8 * (1/8)^8 * (7/8)^0 = 0.000006% - this is the one people are most familiar with since 8 choose 8 = 1 and (7/8)^0 = 1 so this is just (1/8)^8 Then you have to add all three of these numbers up for a total of 0.009% chance of at least 6 of the 8 people voting for Abe assuming no one skips. Now, this probability is specifically for one person, for example, Abe. To find if at least 6 of them would randomly vote for any one person, not just Abe, you would have to multiply by 8, for a total of 0.07%. Again, this number is if no one skips. If you take into consideration skips, it's slightly lower at 0.03%.
Man that duo between Toast and Talia, was so nice to watch. Talia was doing all the dirty work with no rest while Toast was confusing everyone and prevent her to be ejected with his GOD LEVEL MANIPULATION SKILLS ! It was so pleasant to watch.
Love how Toast was trying to do the math on "random" votes for Abe during the game! For anyone wondering what the chances of getting 6 out of 8 votes randomly it's 0.000003814697265625 or 0.0003814697265625% Math for those that care: 1/8 = 0.125 or 12.5% 0.125^6 or 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 = 0.000003814697265625 or 0.0003814697265625%
@@nathanhahn2548 Thanks for your reply! I had forgotten about adding the combinations into the probability equation. Here's what I should have put down & solved for: What are the chances that Abe would get 6 out of the 8 votes randomly. Edit: I forgot to account for no one voting for themselves which changed it into 1/7 chance of voting Abe for each person other than Abe! So: 1/7 = 0.14285714285714285714285714285714 or 14.285714285714285714285714285714% (1/7)^6 or (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7)= 8.4998597523140868175675101360828e-6 8.4998597523140868175675101360828e-6 or 8.4998597523140868175675101360828 x 10^-6 = 0.0000084998597523140868175675101360828 Now we need to know how many combinations of 6/7 votes for Abe there can be. Remember Abe won't vote for himself so he doesn't count! So 7 people have 6 chances each to vote someone other than Abe or themselves while the other 6 vote Abe. 7 x 6 = 42 combinations 42 x (1/7)^6 = 3.5699410959719164633783542571548e-4 3.5699410959719164633783542571548e-4 or 3.5699410959719164633783542571548 x 10^-4 = 0.00035699410959719164633783542571548 0.00035699410959719164633783542571548 = 0.035699410959719164633783542571548% Answer: 0.035699410959719164633783542571548% Thanks again for reminding me & I hope everyone has an awesome day!

The probability of that “random” vote on Abe is:
(Assuming people won’t vote for themselves)
6 people voted for Abe with probability 1/7.
1 person voted for not Abe with probability 6/7.
There are 7 possible ways that could happen. The equation is:
7*(1/7)^6*(6/7)= 0.0051%
That means 1 in every 19,608 votes.
If people can vote for themselves, it’s actually more likely since Abe could vote for himself:
0.0082% or 1 in every 12,228 votes.
What a nerd
Nice work dude
The factor 7 would only apply if the recipient is arbitrary.
For Abe specifically it should just be (1/7)^6*(6/7) OR 6/(7^7)
which is 0.0000073% OR a chance of 1 in 137,257
cool, i totally forgot all the formulae and was trying to remember but yours is correct(probably)(not a math major).
Ahh yes! We love a simple Binomial Distribution!
“Lets vote Edison off because he isn’t wearing the astronaut hat!”
Edison: THIS IS ACTUAL RACISM
I just wanna say I love that chilled finally is in with a game with toast , loved the OG Tt
0:55 thank you for baby sykkuno waving :)
Nobody wants to kill/vote off Toast because if he’s good he will save everyone. Unfortunately when he’s bad, he gets away with everything 😂
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR TOAST TO PLAY WITH CHILLEDCHAOS FOR 81 EPISODES
"There's a dead body and you're laughing?!"
It's Logan Paul all over again
omg
The math answer: it's the binomial theorem.
The chances of any one player voting for a specific player is 1/9 (you can skip).
Then the chances of all 8 players voting for the same player is (1/9)^8 = 2.32 * 10^(-8)
The chances of 7 players voting for the same player and the last player voting for someone else is (8 choose 7) * (1/9)^7 * (8/9)^1 where 8 choose 7 = 8!/(7!(8-1)!) so it's 8 * (1/9)^7 * (8/9)^1 = 1.49 * 10^(-6)
The chance of 6 players voting for the same player and the last two players voting for someone else is (8 choose 6) * (1/9)^6 * (8/9)^2 = 4.16 * 10^(-5)
Add those three numbers together and you get 4.31 * 10^(-5)
However, there are 8 possible people that people are voting for, so multiply it by 8 and you get 3.45*10^(-4) = 0.03%
Exactly 6 votes for the same person, no one skips = 8 choose 6 * (1/8)^6 * (7/8)^2 = 0.008%
7 votes = 8 choose 7 * (1/8)^7 * (7/8)^1 = 0.0003%
8 votes = 8 choose 8 * (1/8)^8 * (7/8)^0 = 0.000006% - this is the one people are most familiar with since 8 choose 8 = 1 and (7/8)^0 = 1 so this is just (1/8)^8
Then you have to add all three of these numbers up for a total of 0.009% chance of at least 6 of the 8 people voting for Abe assuming no one skips.
Artoo64 i didn't understand anything you just said
@@irenaveksler1935 That's understandable, this is a very confusing concept and there are literally high level college courses on this.
Thats actually called combinations
@@goatthecow2987 Combinations is how you find the coefficient of the binomial distribution.
Man that duo between Toast and Talia, was so nice to watch. Talia was doing all the dirty work with no rest while Toast was confusing everyone and prevent her to be ejected with his GOD LEVEL MANIPULATION SKILLS ! It was so pleasant to watch.
Toast: votes Edison off for wearing an alien hat

When you use the wrong formula but get the right answer
hafu is so cute protecting Toast and not being tryhard af x3
@20:00 the result for his math is 2,696,029.71
I actually calculated it to see what it was....:)
Love how Toast was trying to do the math on "random" votes for Abe during the game!
For anyone wondering what the chances of getting 6 out of 8 votes randomly it's 0.000003814697265625 or 0.0003814697265625%
Math for those that care:
1/8 = 0.125 or 12.5%
0.125^6 or 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 = 0.000003814697265625 or 0.0003814697265625%
I appreciate you
@@schujust9919 same :)
@@schujust9919 I appreciate you too friend! :D
@@nathanhahn2548 Thanks for your reply! I had forgotten about adding the combinations into the probability equation.
Here's what I should have put down & solved for:
What are the chances that Abe would get 6 out of the 8 votes randomly.
Edit: I forgot to account for no one voting for themselves which changed it into 1/7 chance of voting Abe for each person other than Abe!
So: 1/7 = 0.14285714285714285714285714285714 or 14.285714285714285714285714285714%
(1/7)^6 or (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7) x (1/7)= 8.4998597523140868175675101360828e-6
8.4998597523140868175675101360828e-6 or 8.4998597523140868175675101360828 x 10^-6 = 0.0000084998597523140868175675101360828
Now we need to know how many combinations of 6/7 votes for Abe there can be. Remember Abe won't vote for himself so he doesn't count!
So 7 people have 6 chances each to vote someone other than Abe or themselves while the other 6 vote Abe.
7 x 6 = 42 combinations
42 x (1/7)^6 = 3.5699410959719164633783542571548e-4
3.5699410959719164633783542571548e-4 or 3.5699410959719164633783542571548 x 10^-4 = 0.00035699410959719164633783542571548
0.00035699410959719164633783542571548 = 0.035699410959719164633783542571548%
