Great vid Mike, I had a rough trot first time at Baffle in 2018 but planning a session this year pre Xmas. I am heading further upriver too, staying at Midskrinrick Campground with mates. Bloody rocks bars everywhere. Loved the drone footage and good to see a Dad having a ripper time with his boy. Thanks
thanks mate! We had a great time. that last rock i hit on the front right side of the boat actually poked a small hole in the boat lol.. hope you have fun next visit! I'll definitely go again
Absolute incredible footage mate!! Looks like a awesome trip up there, Planning one of my own very soon the water quality looks amazing. Can't wait to see this place
Thanks mate! We loved it. Definitely going again! Great protection from the wind and lots of interesting places to explore. Shallow though! Haha go to dark patches on google maps to get to the deeper sections . Telstra has good coverage
Mate u have to have a good motor in remote locations, specially with a kid. Are there crocks there. Looks treacherous to gain access to the ocean via boat. Please buy an updated engine before u go out to islands, do it for your son
No crocs mate. All safe! I could’ve pushed the boat back to the boat ramp with difficulties at worst. I had friends with a boat camping on the creek close by. It was a hard time in my life at that time. Broke as a joke! Quit my job. Separated from son’s mother. Have a look at my other videos, it might interest you. Im making a better boat now.
Hi there Mike I have watched your video on youtube about Baffle Creek and see you have marked the route into the creek. Was that at high tide or low tide?
Hi Ian The one that I marked was at low tide I’m pretty sure. But it’s probably changed a bit in the years. I’ve been told later on by some locals that it is pretty shallow even at high tide. I was going to scout ahead with a Jetski or smaller dingy before I take my Bertram through it 😉
Hi Ian It’s a magic air. Under 500m is majority of footage. I would suggest getting drone insurance with NRMA. In case you loose it or fly into the water. It’s well worth it! I gotta new mavic air 2 now because this one crashed into the water after this little holiday. $200 excess

Love the drone footage and what sort is it? What height are you mainly taking the footage at? Iam still learning how to use my mini mavic. Cheers Ian

Looks like a great spot 👍
You're a great spot
Great content mate
Thank you!!
Not a good boat ramp - really exposed to tide and wind.
I agree
