You made the comment that either the elders, or the men that are leading when no elders are present are allowed to make decision such as “hymnals and PowerPoints”. I am often confronted in debates, when I bring up we want to be exactly like the New Testament church, that there is nothing in the New Testament about buying and selling a building, land, vehicles, etc. Would you answer that the same way you answered the “hymnal and PowerPoint” decisions?
Interestingly, the Disciples of Christ denomination also claims James Garfield, and the Franklin Circle Christian Church website states that he was "pastor" there in 1857. Not sure which it was...
Is there biblical evidence or historical that would support the fact that Timothy had children? Because he was a young pastor and later on he says let no one dispose your age when referring to him in leadership? Love the Podcast!
Why do we call pastors pastor? Instead of brother so and so.. That puts them above the people and they aren’t! Let no one call you rabbi , father or teacher.. so why would pastors be called what they do not who they are! Pastoring is a function!
Very good. Like to share this with everyone in our church. Such a good example of church leadership 101
