- This WILL NOT be a steady stream of fish porn. It was nearly 100 degrees with bluebird skies both days during the shoot. As Schultzy would say, “not optimal!” It was a struggle to say the lease but we caught some great imagery. There will be some beautiful smalljaw footage, some underwater footage of muskies, and a shock when we get, “muskied.” The video closes out at the new Ballast Point Brewery outside of Roanoke, VA. That place was insane!
All the “porn” aside, the focus of this video is to provide another perspective about one of my mentors. This video short WILL focus on who Blane is, what his fishery is all about, and give the viewer a glimpse into why he has become a leader in our industry. Enjoy!

i'm so impressed with the conservation message from blane about musky fishing in those conditions! Also, the tip on carefully removing that deep hook from the smallie is something I never knew. Thank you brookdog and blane for keeping those messages in the vid! #respect

What are those flies they're throwing? Looks like a popper maybe with some kind of foam tail? Or are they just straight blue with matching maribou tails?

I'd like to see an episode featuring rivers and streams of Kentucky. I live near Frankfort and there are several great smallmouth streams within easy driving distance. Elkhorn Creek, Green River, Cumberland River and many other small streams. Many thanks for your great videos!

There are several well know distilleries in this area and they all are sponsoring many different things to promote their business. I'll do some checking from my end. Are you fishing the James River? Had the chance to work in Covington after college but my wife didn't like the area, so we moved to Chicago. WTF?

Actually I moved to Wisconsin years ago. Check out the Menominee River which is the border between Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I think that Tight Lines Fly Fishing has some videos. Also fished the Flambeau and the Namekegon.
@@brookdogfishingcompany233 It was a little confusing because you started with Mr. Chocklett speaking about the New river and I was thinking that isn't the New; given that I went to college down there, and the final cut with the drone is a section of the James I know well.
