Carla, your hairstyle on this client made her look younger and a soft look, than the locs. When she came to you with the locs, to the syle you liked on her took off some years. However, to each its own!
Exactly what I was going to say. To each its own. The loca def didn't do her face justice and made her look OLD they were too thin looking hopefully she will get enough compliments to keep the new look for a lil longer.

I noticed that when they showed her with locs she had glasses on, her makeup wasn't done, and her locs were not styled (or retwisted). The opposite was true with the final look. I don't think the locs make her look old.

I like her haircut. That's the same cut I want once I grow my hair back. I did a very low cut because the braids had thinned out my ends 😵. Eventually I want to rock dreadlocks too but I'm going to do lock extensions. I want to skip that ugly stage.

Ok wait, you know I’m new to your channel, so I have so many questions but I will try to do one or two at a time. So Locks aren’t their real hair grown out that long? I’ve always thought they were!!! This is a total shock to me. And you said she can reuse them? This is so fascinating! I love your channel!
Locs are real hair that is grown out that long. You can reattach the locs back even if it is real hair that is what she meant by implying it can be reused . So yes locs are real hair that have been grown out that long.
In the traditional sense locs are real hair grown out long. I've been growing mine for 9 years. You can cut them off and reattach them if you want to. Some people will get human hair loc extensions because it gives them longer locs immediately if they don't want to go through the whole process. It's up to personal preference for people though.
