hey nice video, as somebody else who has modded their GK61, trust me, do the "Holee Mod" to your stabilizers, you will not regret it. all the rattle completely goes away. hope this helps

This video is great for all the newcomers like me to not think modding your first keyboard will be a succes! Its nice that you explained what these sounds come from like the backspace and the rightside of the spacebar. Because of overlubing and other stuff. Great video!
That's why I made this video. I want to help beginners including myself to get exposure in the keyboard community. Love this comment. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! This video was so helpful and amazing to me. Now my GK61 sounds so much better than it was before watching this video. Wish you luck!

As someone who has just got into keyboard modding, I also have the GK61 and was able to get the keyboard sounding really nice bar the stabs... Simply picked up some Durock V1 plate mount stabs for less than £10 and now my stabs are buttery with 0 rattle. the stock stabs, even when lubed are terrible.
Bro for this being your first time you were very organized. I love the music choice too. I feel very relaxed watching 👍🏽 If you want to get rid or the rattle, I recommend the holee mod. Worked for my sk61
When I mod I use a towel/cloth to dampen the inside, then I lube the stabs and switches ofc. after that I do a a clay mod which is basically just a better alternative instead of playdoh if you fill your spacebar, and the last thing I do is use a lambs wool blanket to place under the keeb for even more dampening and the end result is just wow

I was thinking of getting a GK61 to get more space for aiming compared to my 104 key Corsair K70, then I thought hmm I saw a video where the gk61 is the common choice for beginners and thought maybe modding it would be easy and found this video, wow it was very well explained and friendly too now I wanna try it
Damnn, that sounds pretty fucking fresh, though i would recommend adding foam under the PCB to reduce that "hollowness" on the case, other than that , its pretty good for a first timer!

Np, also I had the same issue with spacebar rattle on the right side on my gk96s. I fixed it by literally taking a syringe full of Krytox 205g0 and injecting it into the hole of the stab housing from the backside (where the wire makes contact with the stem, not the front with the two holes). If that doesn't help (and it's not a spacebar keycap warp/balance issue), then you're probably better off getting some durock platemount stabs as these lesser qc'd branded keebs usually come with absolutely terrible stabs that will have a minor tick even if they are tuned/lubed to the max and properly modded with bandaid/holee. Those generic stabs have very noticeable wobble and gaps in them, so unless you absolutely drown it in lube or dielectric grease, it's very difficult to get it perfect.
