Thanks for this, Gav. Bought the app yesterday but only had a quick play so far - I’m hoping it’ll calm my ongoing GAS for a Theremini, which I’d probably never learn to play properly. Touch screen looks way more controllable!
Mr. Gavinsky gives thorough revisions of apps, and this one has helped me in the decision about wether purchase it or not. The great point is that the theremin is hard to play (for me) and the app comes with a good interface and way easier to play. Cheers!
Thanks for the insights! It may not be essential and one could achieve similar results combining apps one has already, but I think it's a nice package, especially at intro price, if you're looking for a quick way to get this thereminy sound and use of the touch screen is a nice... touch. 😉 Good suggestions, Gav, with the latch and selecting presets while playing. 👍
Not sure if you've checked out Mononoke by Brqm Bos, but it does this kind of thing exceptionally well. The way the sounds interact and affect one another is brilliant.
Nevertheless, the keyboard design of mononoke makes it incapable of doing some of the types of things you can do with this. It only has 8 pads, for example. I really want to see Mononoke changed to integrate the same keyboard as Salome
Thanks for the showcase Mr Gavinski, it’s very useful and convinced me that I don’t need it!😂 I’m very grateful that you made the video and got it out so quickly 👏
If it’s touch screen then it can’t be a theremin. The theremin is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact by the performer.

Purchased 😊
Have been obsessing over real versions.
This will keep me busy, while deciding on which real one to buy ❤
Thanks for this, Gav. Bought the app yesterday but only had a quick play so far - I’m hoping it’ll calm my ongoing GAS for a Theremini, which I’d probably never learn to play properly. Touch screen looks way more controllable!
Hi John! Yeah, I bet a real theremin is tough to play in tune, but it's probably super fun to experiment with.
Mr. Gavinsky gives thorough revisions of apps, and this one has helped me in the decision about wether purchase it or not. The great point is that the theremin is hard to play (for me) and the app comes with a good interface and way easier to play. Cheers!
Nice to read this, thnx ♥
@@GavinskisTutorials Not at all, it is my opinion that you deserve this.

Yes, pretty fun for $4, I agree!
Thanks, Gav!

Yes, I like Mononoke a lot though it has some frustrating design choices, for my taste. It’s still probably my fave drone synth on iOS, cheers!
Nevertheless, the keyboard design of mononoke makes it incapable of doing some of the types of things you can do with this. It only has 8 pads, for example. I really want to see Mononoke changed to integrate the same keyboard as Salome
Thanks for pointing that out, as I already have it. I just had a good play with it, and bought the Thereminator 2 app as well 🎉
Thanks for the showcase Mr Gavinski, it’s very useful and convinced me that I don’t need it!😂 I’m very grateful that you made the video and got it out so quickly 👏
Yes, tried to be fast. Learning you don't need something is as useful (maybe more so) than learning you need it, so that's great!
Make it SING!!
Thereminator 2: "I'll be back".
Yes, haha - and they did come back, indeed!
More like “I’ll be Bach.” lol !
@davidasher22 haha, they make that pun in the AppStore description actually!
And: "I'll be there". If you know what I min... 😜
Is it possible to use this in a daw?
Check the appstore specs and check then what your host app can handle. I only use ipad and use AUM as my host app.
If it’s touch screen then it can’t be a theremin.
The theremin is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact by the performer.
Obviously, and I mention that in the video. It is nevertheless capable of sounding like a theremin
Buy with me if you want to live. Live to create some fluid music, that is.
