- Every night of the All State Choir conference at about 11pm, everyone comes out to the balconies of the 18 story Hyatt hotel to sing the National Anthem

I love this annual tradition of the Kentucky All-State Choir. This is how the Star Spangled Banner should be sung!
That, it should!! Brought a tear to this old retired Marine's eye.
We started this during Desert Storm my Jr year in 1991. It is a sight and sound to behold! I'm so glad it is a yearly tradition!

they had it last year as well. I think 2021 (when they did a virtual conference) was the only year since the tradition began that they didn't sing it.

It was always a dream of mine to one day sing the national anthem like this, and this year that dream came true. (I was in TTBB for those that may be curious).

I’m Canadian but I cry when I hear this. I cry because I love what America was founded on what it is supposed to stand for and the constitution. I mourn because what you people and your government have become! Get it back!

I’m a prior service infantry Marine, now an Infantry Soldier in the US Army on recruiting duty. This traditions truly brings half a tear to me eye. I am so proud of what this country means and this annual tradition is a seemingly small kind gesture that in actuality is a biblical blessing to my soul. God bless America
One of my favorite parts of this rendition every year is the drop at 2:03 on "wave". It always sounds so good and so seamless.

from a texas all stater, you guys and colorado are the only two choirs that i think do justice to the “all state” title, besides us of course 😏

Oh how I missed these, and yes I have checked every year :) This made me so happy! - I got goose bumps as I do every time I watch these.
At 2:19 is that a soprano hitting the super high note on the very tail end of "free", or is that just an overtone?
I know other years it sounds like the girls are trying to have a contest to see who can top the others, but it doesn't really sound that way this year except for that one sound.
I asked myself the same thing. I think it‘s an overtone. Then again, it might just be the angels joining in

I almost feel like an american patriot watching this despite being from the other side of the planet
I have a suggestion for the hotel. Attach an American flag to the outside of each elevator, and raise them either before or during the anthem.
I was thinking just about the same thing. But just on the center one and send it up just as they sing “yet wave” and hold the elevator at the top until done singing.
After watching Chris Stapleton sing the anthem at the Super Bowl, it reminded me of these - and even though I’ve watched these every year they’ve been posted, I still get moved beyond words. So, so, so awesome! 🇺🇸

I loved being there for the national anthem! It was awesome in person. I was lucky to be able to sing in the kmea all state choir that year and got to experience such a exciting experience!

When trump becomes dictator we will never hear that song again, and the meaning and the Democracy that surrounds it will no longer mean the same thing ever again. As I listen to the Kentucky All State Choir sing the National Anthem it brought tears to my eyes and what our veterans died for will never be the same again ever! This year we have a chance to keep Democracy, if Hate wins we all loose! I don’t want to under someone like Putin, do you? Trump is the American version of Adolf Hitler.

As an old soldier I get all chocked up when I watch this video and hear the amazing voices during their rendition of the Star Spangled Banner!! GOD BLESS THEM AND AMERICA!!
I've been recently commissioned a KY Colonel. Regardless to all reasons behind such prestigious recognition to me as a foreigner, I'm longing to assist at this traditional event - at least once in my lifetime.
Thus, I believe that the basement of a good future is made from the past events brick-by-brick - for freedom and justice for all.
