Can I just say how nice it is to be able to actually relate to a youtuber? 😩 Usually when a youtuber shows us their living space, it's in an expensive apartment or house that most of us will never be able to afford, and while I also like seeing that stuff sometimes, it also kinda makes me feel like shit about being poor. So thankyou for showing us what you did with the space available to you financially!
You do know that she did live in those type of places in her past. Huge home, expensive high rise apts. etc. Changing her furniture on a whim. Expensive clothes, a very lavish lifestyle for quite a few years. This is quite different for her.

You are absolutely the most relatable person on this platform!
Girl, you need to become an interior designer. This looks great!!
Maybe thats your new path.
that's what i was thinking too
You've truly outdone yourself! Its beautiful in there and as an introvert who craves independence, seeing the lil kitchen makes me feel a sense of security and happiness! How fun! What a cool place to just kick it and take care of yourself! You also look as beautiful as ever, so please don't worry about any of that stuff. I'm happy you are following your heart, Kalel. I hope you are doing better and you are happy. ❤❤❤
I have to move back into my brothers basement at the end of this month because I couldn't find a new apartment, this gave me so much hope and inspiration.
This is legitimately the highlight of my week. I’ve had trouble enjoying things recently, but this FaceTime (as someone in the comments said) was truly refreshing. You really have a knack for design/ making a space look really nice. Love the creativity, love your brain.
Kalel tell your dad he needs a DIY/build-it-yourself youtube channel, he seems insanely talented just like you!
You could make a career out of designing, Kalel. Stunning!
Absolute pinnacle of making lemonade out of lemons. This is beautiful and totally made me realize I could live in a studio apartment
I love how much you embrace this situation and make it as best as possible! Your design and budgeting skills on this are sooooo good. I will definitely be using some of these ideas. Including doing makeup sitting down!
I'm always impressed by how Kalel styles her living spaces. So creative.
Kalel, that mini kitchen has studio ghibli energy! How the hell did you pull that off? That’s like a minimalist mansion lol.
This made me get up and clean my house. Your living spaces always inspire me!
Lmao I organized my room while watching this video too
MAJOR inspiration from Kalel
I LOVE what you did with your space! You're so talented. The kitchenette and vanity setup is my favorite part. The ceiling is definitely giving me that industrial feel which looks great with the modern theme you have going. As a fellow vampire I'm so inspired from your creativity and hope to have a cozy dungeon of my own in the future.
Yay, an upload!! You’re so talented Kalel 🤩 it’s amazing what you’ve done! ❤️
Why is this tour the best thing ever and one of my favourite spaces you have had
I also live in my parents basement and I'm 26 with my 4 year old. You did a awesome job! This made me happy that I'm not alone with where I am in life. I'm happy to see you making videos again. We're going to be okay 😊❤
Loveeee how the basement turned out!!!
Been here for the last 10 years and I've loved watching you grow and find yourself again. Your laugh is still one of the sweetest things ever. And the babies have gotten so big. I'm proud of where you've ended up ❤
This is genuinely so lovely. I did something like this in high school in my parent's attic, but this is on a whole new level. Thank you for sharing and showing you don't need to spend thousands of dollars to make a space beautiful!
the girl who always motivates me to clean and organize my room
The headboard and end tables is such a brilliant design, I am so in love with that!
But fr this is absolutely beautiful and actually cozy. Girl you’re giving me some inspiration cuz you really don’t need a lot to make a place feel yours.
Seriously I am a long time watcher of your content and sometimes struggles. This is my favorite video out of everything you have done. No boujie things. Just Kalel! So good and honest the decor was excellent and done on a realistic budget. Thank you 🙏🏻
This is ACTUALLY pretty impressive interior design, imo! Thank you for posting this!👏🏾
Ngl, I love how this turned out. You made a dark, dank basement into a livable "apartment" while still managing to live under your parent's roof. There's still a sense of independence. Would kind of like to do something like this. Simple yet works out nicely
Dude that vanity is the CRAFTIEST thing I've ever seen. I'm totally gonna replicate that at home!!!
I really enjoyed the video! It felt like a friend showing her basement. And i love how you can laugh off the missing tooth! I literally didn't notice until you pointed it out
This room ticks of all my boxes. I love that it was made 1000% by you and your dad. Nice work!
ever since i was 12 i knew why i liked you, you keep it real, you are engaging to a specific audience and you do it so well. I’m now 21 and have so much pride for you. Keep doing you.
Kalel, your interior design looks amazing as always. In all the years that I have watched your channel, it is something I have enjoyed, looked forward to and took inspiration from your videos. You truly have a unique sense of style which I absolutely adore. I love love love what you have done 💕 I swear you should be an interior designer!
you really transformed that whole space, loved it!!
The very ending bit clarifying the stain on your bed absolutely sent me 😂😂😂♥️
I’m so proud of you, Kalel. Like most of the people commenting, I’ve been following you since the queenbeeuty days! I feel like you’ve grown so much and I honestly think this is the happiest I’ve ever seen you. This video seems so real and genuine, like you’re being your real self. It doesn’t feel forced or uneasy like I feel a lot of your videos were in the past. I always felt you being in Cali was what was making you so unhappy and almost isolated from the world. I wish you nothing but the absolute best and can’t wait to see more videos! You’re absolutely thriving and I’m glad you’re back! 💛
Kalel you were always my queen, but THIS(!!) made me love you even more. You are talented and beautiful and resourceful and funny and real- it has been a blessing to have you as an internet friend these past years and I'm so happy you're back 💙
Wow, to say that I am impressed with what you did with the unfinished basement is an understatement. Also, I'm Korean and wow 5:38 !!! Your penmanship is better than mine and this study area is so aesthetically pleasing!
Love you Kalel, I said it once and gonna say it again: please start a podcast. Also I feel like u would be a great interior designer
OMG it would be awesome if she called it "Parent's basement" and it was about rebuilding yourself.
@@aidasa3791 guess you're right, should've said more podcasts then. Just would like to hear her talk more about her favourite books, movies/shows or things that inspire her and really digging into it why she loves it. Or maybe how her day went, how to improve your mental health or studying tips to learn Korean/any other language. Just her thoughts on random things. Or maybe interviewing people that she looks up to/ talking about them. But yeah most stuff she already does like u said
why is the missing tooth actually cute lol….YOU LOOK SO GOOD!
AHAHAHAHAHA BLESS YOU ❤️
I was literally thinking the same thing. She can pull off anything 😩😩💛💛
that was my thought also. thats one of the perks of being beautiful.
How you design an unfinished basement better than I have my whole house I will never know. This video was so entertaining and honestly useful and great! Love that you are back!
I’m obsessed! These types of videos are my favorite! Missed you Kalel and appreciate you for uploading. Hoping to see more videos of you!
You literally know how to make anything cool. This is just a bump in the road for you and you managed to make it beautiful! Thanks for the inspo ❤️
Side note, we are all here ready to keep watching videos to help you get that bag again ❤️ You’ll have your own place again before you know it!
Knowing your knack for design my expectations were already high but this blew me away!! 🙀
Super excited for the cooking/what I eat in a day content. Also please make hair products a part of your beauty content - hair care is a struggle for me and we have a similar texture!
Thank you for being real with us and sharing your life! ❤️
Your home looks very cozy and cute, I love that it has a mysterious vibe 🧛
You have such an eye for design. You really made the space look amazing.
KALEL! I’ve been watching you since I was barely in high school. Around the same time I began to experience my first troubles with mental health you began to share your mental health journey. I found it so comforting knowing someone who I looked up to and felt had everything I wish I had in the moment, was also going through the similar experiences internally. I now find myself 24, moving back in with my mom for very similar reasons and here you are again: providing comfort. Thank you for your vulnerability 🤍 keep shining your light
