I moved back home after graduating from college, which meant I HAD to give my old bedroom an intense makeover. I got MOST of the inspiration for this room from Pinterest. The two most important factors of this room were that it had to be COZY and it had to inspire me.
I work from home full time so it was really important I am in a space that makes me happy :) The diys I complete are:
- A birchwood clothing rack
- A shelf for my plants
- A hanging trellis (for hanging my plants)
- A wall of flowers with a piece of art as the centerpiece
I can do a room tour of a more in-depth look at the room if that’s something any of you would be interesting in! Also, I’ve already moved it around a bit (as you’d be able to notice when I filmed myself talking about it). So it will be different from the final reveal of the room :)

I feel you i hate white spaces they look like freaking hospitals and usually have no personality or coziness whatsoever
I've never had a complete white room and its not common where I live so I thought I'd be really cool if I did mine white. Since going all white this Is the third comment I'm reading about how white rooms look dull and I am dying! Haha
Maybe because people have dofferent taste and this room is to crowded and colorful for me,i personally prefer white/light grey room with not a lot of stuff
Her room is super super cute but everyone has different taste. For me I don’t like my room to be super crowded and I like whites/neutrals with little pops of color here and there.

Your room reminds me of how imagined the room of character in a book I read . It was about a young woman who made handmade perfume she would grow plants in room and on her property and made personalized scents or for her friends and family..it wasn’t a big part of the story but the description of the room and the image I imagined stuck with me . It was a vary descriptive book and made me imagine the scents she was making so watching this made me feel like I could “smell “ it . Great makeover your lucky to have such a relaxing room if it was mine the plants would be dead in a couple months 😅

Thanks ! I don’t remember The name. I read it a long time ago i tried looking it up when I saw your comment but can’t find it . it was a young adult novel and had a dark tone the description of her room was one of the few cheery scenes I can remember that and how they would describe the bakery and her family. I read it when I was young it was above my reading level at the time . If I find it I will leave the name .
Do you remember anything else about the book? So maybe the title could be searched

I love how she took trendy things like the flower wall and made it her own. I also really like how this was tailored to her. I also love how you can tell it is lived in unlike other room makeovers where it is just aesthetically pleasing but not really livable.

Is that shelf above your bed bending in? I recommend removing it if so lol, I had a plant pot fall on my head when I was sleeping and I can tell you it was a huge regret putting anything near my head when sleeping.
I already moved my bed from that area, precisely for the reason you said hahahha

So precious that your parents helped too, and with different parts ie. mom with trellis and dad with TV haha. I live at home with my parents and have been feng shuiing my room for months to declutter and get it feeling like my own space. I've been feeling the need for a complete redecoration and this video was just the inspiration I was waiting for. I'm so happy for your new space that truly inspires you and feels cozy to you. Very cool!!! Move the dresser over to the right and make the birch hanging thingy to work in the corner! Lil tricky but would look cool. I did the flower thing on the wall too but hung a branch on the wall and hung flowers with fishing line lightly wrapped around the stems and hanging down. Love the whole vibe!!!
