Thanks a ton for watching my Trident Bartering Farm video! Hope you found it entertaining! 🎉 This farm runs smoothly in Minecraft Bedrock version 1.21. * Drink a potion of water breathing which will help you to breathe when you are under water and drink a potion of night vision to see better under water. * With spawning spots/blocks i mean check for a place where they naturally spawn in groups, light level might affect that place, so check for a good spot! * For best results use a sword with looting 3 enchantment like i did in this video! * I recommend closing the game after finishing the farm's construction and reopening it. This method gave me better results right away compared to just starting to farm immediately. * Well, i've made a mistake, the room at bottom isn't 12 blocks big, it's actually 27 blocks big (not counting the path to the exit), my bad, sorry for that 🤪 * If you encounter the problem that your drowned won't pickup the nautilus shells no matter what, which seems to be a problem for just a few players for some reason, then simply switch your game mode from normal to hard, according to @snarka6177 this will fix the problem! * some players have problems with buttons, if your buttons don't keep water in place or break then replace every button with fence gates and open them, this works too! * some player report that drowned won't attack the turtle egg, the reason for that is that you have to have a 2 blocks gap between the sand stone block and the roof, otherwise no mob will be able to reach it, you also have to make sure there is a two block gap on all sides from the sand stone block + you have all trapdoors in place, make sure to open the trapdoors and finally you have to have a two block gap between the ocean floor and the roof so the mobs can approach the turtle egg. * if no mobs make it down to the kill chamber then check your game settings, you have to be on simulation distance of 4 in order to make it work, as mentioned in the video ... also check the point before this one. May I ask why do we need to dig down so deep while placing a source of water every 22 block??? What is the purpose of that? But hey it still a good video 😔
@@no-kx6ld I don't know either. I made 2, one I dug down as shown in the video, the 2nd only half as much. Both work, but the deeper one does catch more I feel. No idea y tho.
@@AlexandruCarjan I was going to say the same thing because a sponge would be 100% more convenient and more efficient than dirt blocks saves time and you don't have to waste your precious time placing and breaking dirt blocks
I loved this. Simple farm - a lot of digging but no redstone to deal with or anything, and your presentation of it was smooth, clear, and well put together. Thank you!
Best tutorial yet! I was getting frustrated with the buttons on the glass, kept letting water in. I just had to replace the broken glass with buttons a lot quicker and had no issue. Thanks again!
hey, i am glad you like the farm and the tutorial 😊! for some reasons some players have problems with the buttons but you can avoid the troubles by placing fence gates and open them! as far as i can remember i have mentioned that in the pinned comment!
@@awesome-dp1oo not really but you can use a dispenser with nautilus shell on a drowned with a trident to swap items the trident will be full durability.
lol, you can call it exchange or whatever you want to call it but if i give him a shell and he gives me an trident back then this was a trade/bartering, he traded his trident for my shell!
Hey, thanks for the nice comment! ☺️ I am glad you like it! 👌 The amount of tridents you get this way compared to any other trident farm based on build time and materials used is unbeatable and insane 👌
Hey, sounds good, go for it 👌☺️ Silent’s farms are great but you’ll be surprised how fast you’ll build this one and how many materials you’ll need! Material and time wise this farm beats any other farm compared to the amount of tridents you get, and honestly, you don’t need that much! The bug farms gives you tons of tridents but this one gives you about 12 tridents every 10 minutes, that is enough for any new farm you build!
@@EndyCrafts thank you for this video. It was very easy to follow and it is exciting when you get the drowned to trade for the shell and open that chest to see a full healthy trident.
Very good farm. It’s pretty low effort for a farm that will easily provide all the tridents you’ll ever need quickly and without fuss. You only need two weapon tridents and the rest are for farms, so you will only need to use this farm a couple minutes every month with how efficient it is. 👍
Exactly, for the time it takes to build it and material wise it beats all the other farms in my opinion! Sure, there are farms that gives you a ton more tridents but you have to spend a ton of materials and time to build the farm! This one takes a couple of minutes! Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated 👌☺️
I like this thing, though i kinda want to use it to get nautilus shells first. Also i suspect we could remove the buttons on the sides where you added water to just let the flowing water sweep them in at that point.
I am glad you like it 👌☺️ Imagine, watching the whole vid to find out it’s about the nautilus shells and how to farm them 😂 Now you have a use for them 👌 I would leave the buttons there otherwise it will be difficult to funnel them to the hole!
You can get Nautilus shells from a fish farm, I am sure I have a design uploaded that will provide you with tons of them! I use the shells to trade with the trident guys! I guess we miss understood each other at a point 😂
Digging down 22 blocks then another 22 is 44 blocks which is the limit of sim 4 spawn radius. I think the Bottom level should be higher so more of the seabed is within the spawn radius.
I've built and used this and I think the lowest level needs to be a couple of blocks higher on sim distance 4, but otherwise this is a great way to farm drowned without the larger resource cost in blocks and time to build other types of drowned farms. I found that my rate of trident acquisition approximately doubled using the nautilus barter method shown here, and since you get back the nautilus shells when you kill the drowned, there is no downside to that method. This isn't going to be the most efficient method if you want copper ingots, but for tridents or even nautilus shells for conduits, this is perfect.
Hey, thanks for the nice words and I am glad you like the farm! And btw, I wouldn’t go any block higher because you’ll reduce your rates this way! The farm, if you’ve followed the tutorial correctly, is perfectly balanced this way! The only spot the drowned can spawn on is the edge right beside the egg, this way they will instantly get lured and drop down and if you kill them fast enough they’ll make space for the next batch of drowned! Just check if you have caves nearby which you have to spawn proof!
Sure: 1. Tridents are used for mob farms in bedrock! I have few farms on my channel that are using them but also my next video will be a farm where you will need 10 tridents, I think! 2. Pretty easy, go to sandy beaches and look for turtles, give them sea grass and they will start to breed! Once they are done, use your silk touch enchanted tool and break the egg, then you can pick it up and place wherever you want! 3. Nautilus shells are pretty easy to get! Either you build my fish farm, which you can do within 10 minutes, and then you can fish for them or you kill some drowned and they will drop the shells sometimes! You need just a few to get started, the killer drown will drop more over time!
@EndyCrafts I've built many other versions of trident farms and hands down this was the easiest to build in early game, the only real hurdle is the silk touch needed for the eggs. Truly an overpowered farm for how easy it is to build and use!
Hey, thanks for the nice comment ☺️ You can drink a potion of underwater breathing which will give you 8 minutes of breathing! Take two or three with you and you should be good! You can also drink a potion of nightvision to see much better under water (take two or three with you)! And if you are afraid that drowned attacking you then put your game into peaceful mode during the build phase and switch it back to normal or hard once the farm is done! For a beginner that’s ok! 👌
Just built this in Bedrock 1.21 and it works great. Got 5 tridents in 10 min without spawnproofing caves near by. Some tips: - don't build it in a river (2 drown density mob cap vs 5 in the ocean) - buttons on corners have 2 water source blocks next to them and will break, use another layer of dirt in the corners or use fence gates - if you don't have any shells just kill the drowns with a sword, you will get some from them - from my testing it works better if you go -43 levels down from the Sand stone (22 blocks, water, 21 blocks) - don't stand next to the hopper, move back two blocks to be exactly underneath the middle of the farm
Well, some have problems with buttons, that’s true, fence gates are a solution as mentioned in the pinned comment! I wouldn’t recommend to dig one more layer lower, do it as mentioned in the video, if you go down one block lower then there will be no spawns at the top! I am not sure if you are familiar with the spawn sphere? If you go down by one more block you are out of the spawn radius!
Oh, my bad, yeah, you went one block up but I wouldn’t do that either! They will have a longer path way to the egg and that will also reduce the amount of tridents you get but if it works for you that way better then go for it 👌☺️
I am glad you found my channel 👌☺️ If you need more xp in shorter amount of time then please check out my xp farm tutorial, you’ll reach level 30 ultra fast!
My drowned were just spinning on the buttons. Figured they couldn't path find to the turtle shells right. So I extended the roof two more out sideways each direction, dug a little tech for water to fall right, and then got rid of the buttons. Works perfect now.
@EndyCrafts yeah. I had all the buttons too. I waited for like 20 minutes and when I peaked up the ladder literally 5 were just spinning around in circles on the buttons lol. But it's still a really good farm. Cause every other farm has me building like 120 blocks in the sky. This one is so much better.
@johnnycage2323 lol trench. Sorry. I extended the glass like two more blocks out and took out the buttons. And just dug down a block or two so the water flows down to the trap doors but doesn't reach the turtle eggs. Before you do that try his suggestion of trying fence gates tho. Cause I couldn't try it cause I already did mine. I was curious if his fix would have worked.
I didn’t think it would work but it actually does, I just put it in a kinda crappy spot so I’m not getting constant drown dropping. Missed it by a couple blocks I’d say.
Hi, sorry for the late reply! Have you checked the depth of your kill chamber, it should be exactly as I’ve shown in the video! This will make them spawn at the edge on top so they get immediately attracted by the turtle egg!
Thank you. I love the simplicity of this one and not building 200 blocks in the air. Out of curiosity does this still work if I only did the top half? (just to lure and trap them in and kill them up the top? My only trouble is getting them to spawn. Thank you.
Hey, I am glad you like the farm! Sure, it would work, building the other half takes just 2 more minutes and almost no resources but yeah, it would work! For making them spawn just find a deep dark spot and they will spawn naturally!
It depends, sometimes they drop in masses and it’s difficult to do the trade because you might kill the guy with the trident! Now, if you you have to hit them multiple times in order to kill them and because of that you accidentally kill the mob with the trident while the others are still alive and suddenly another one with a trident drops down the chute, then you will have the same problem again! With one hit you at least have the chance, in this scenario, to do the trade with the second guy!
How fast are they supposed to spawn in? I put the center block in the middle of 3 drowned spawn points and based the farm off those 3 and I don't get any more drowned except the 3 that I see on my way to the loot room
@EndyCrafts yeah, you mentioned elsewhere in your comments that the farm works best on simulation distance 4. I changed it to that and it works like a charm now
For some reason the drowned don’t path find to the turtle eggs. Actually it doesn’t seem like they are targeting or seeing the turtle eggs at all. I have mob griefing on as well
The water is flowing over my buttons into the chamber it seems. Not sure what I did. It was dry but then I broke the bottom two block and put buttons and there’s water inside I can’t get rid of
I got that part figured out. Just had to break the blocks one at a time and place buttons. For some reason drowns are not going inside though. They don’t seem to care about the turtle eggs
Have got this more or less working. I couldn't find a way for buttons to work at the corners (since the blocks become water source blocks as they are adjacent to two other water source blocks, and buttons only displace flowing water), but I just left solid blocks in at the corners and it works fine. I cannot get the mobs to take the nautilus shells/drop tridents, and didn't want to change difficulty, but I still got six tridents in about 20mins and the damage doesn't really matter for trident killers (yet).
hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment! are you on bedrock or java? not every mob will trade his trident for a shell but about at least 1 out of 3 or 4 should do that! regarding the buttons, some players have the problems but you can place fence gates instead of buttons, this will work too!
@@EndyCraftsThanks for replying! I'm on Bedrock. I don't know what happened but next time I went back to the farm I got quite a few undamaged tridents, so the bartering is working!
hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment! lol, yeah, i have already pointed that out in the pinned comment! couting is not for everyone!😜
@@EndyCrafts all good no worries and oh shit my bad :D (i just thought it was funny as hell so i commented. i do that alot too so all good there. hope you feel better soon.)
It was my mad, it was a bad choice of words! What I meant to say was that you should check where they spawn naturally in masses! Lower spots give you higher chances because of the lower light level! Minutes after the video was posted I have already answered these comments and it is also answered in the pinned comment!
You placed the water one or some more blocks to high in the chute! Try to place the water one block lower and if it does not work then place another block lower and so on until they don’t die from fall damage!
@@EndyCrafts My solution was very simple. I made the collection area 8 blocks higher, because when it was lower the mobs didn't spawn. Now they no longer die when they fall and spawn without problem.
Well, you made a mistake while you was counting downwards! It is important to follow the turtorial to get the maximum amount of loot! With the way I have setup the farm the mobs spawn right beside the turtle egg, then they walk path towards the chute and you kill them! With going up 8 blocks the spawn radius on all sides on top is much wider! Some will perhaps despawn, some will take a wile until they notice the egg and so on…means less loot for you! I would highly recommend to count the blocks again and do it like I described it in the video but it’s up to you ☺️
I guess this is not a starter farm, I mean how do you build this next to one or more drowned spawn points without constantly fighting) and dying) in survival mode? And where do you get all the shells from??
This is most probably the easiest farm for starters you can find! Every other farm requires resources over resources, while this farm requires few blocks, few signs, a turtle egg, a dropper, 3 buttons, a chest and a hopper! To answer your question, you get a potion of water breathing and find the perfect spot for your farm, then you drink your potion and start building the enclosure, this might take 2-3 minutes! After that you are save for the rest of the build! Regarding the shells, just take your fishing rod and start fishing, you just need 2-3 shells, that’s all, once they take the shell and you kill them they drop the shell back again and you just have to pick them up from the chest + the drowned drop shells as their side loot sometimes, after a few minutes of playing you’ll have more shells then before!
Are you playing on bedrock or java? On bedrock almost any mob far has a kill chamber with tridents to kill mobs! The tridents, in combination with a looting 3 sword, gives you tons of loot and xp, you don’t have to kill the mobs with the sword, you just have to afk nearby! Some mob farms require a couple of tridents and some just one, this trident farm is the most efficient trident farm when it comes to size, time to build and materials! There a tridents farms that gives you tons of tridents within 1 hour but you need a couple of hours to build them and an insane amount of materials…so!
So if you’re trying to single out a trident holding drowned, would it help to add buttons with water in the drop chamber to slow down the rate that fall at once? Then you could kill off the ones not holding a trident easier. Would that help?
You can also place cobweb instead of the button and water but to be honest I am not sure if it’s worth it! It’s rng who comes down first and it does not guarantee that you are quick enough to trade before the next one drops down! I don’t know how much tridents you need but 10 minutes afk is more than enough for any huge farm you build and for smaller ones 2-3 minutes would be enough to collect a few tridents! And BTW, the way this is setup makes them one hit when they arrive at the bottom so you have actually a chance to trade quick enough if one with a trident drops!
@@EndyCrafts I don’t need anymore tridents actually. I have an above water drowned farm that’s produced tons of them albeit near broken. I could probably adapt that farm for bartering now that I think about it. Thanks for the reply, that doesn’t seem to happen much these YT days.
You can build that farm in any ocean, just make sure it’s flat, no caves which you have to spawn proof and it should be some blocks deep because of the light level, the darker the better!
@@EndyCraftsoh yeah hey, after trying more, i realized that if they take it they literally take it immediately. I thought the shell would have to be out for a sec for them to decide whether they want it or not.
Hello great video! I just made the farm however I’m not sure how to fix the water coming through the buttons. Maybe I didn’t put the buttons down fast enough and now waters just pouring down through them. Tried filling the space up again but that didn’t work. Any suggestions?
Hey, thanks, have you fixed the water problem yet? Are you on bedrock or java? This farm works on bedrock as the title says it and if you are on bedrock then try using fence gates and open them! Place the fence gates everywhere I have placed buttons! Some player on bedrock have the button problem for some reason!
Because not every drowned has a trident and not everyone has stacks over stacks of nautilus shells for that! You can adjust it at any time and do it, np ☺️
Why? Have you tried to build this farm? This literally the easiest trident farm to build and perfect for early game and late game! Everybody who has build this farm will be able to confirm that, 15 minutes or less and the farm is done! Materials you need are just a few compared to any other drowned farm, you can’t even compare!
@@EndyCrafts i build the catch chamber in java in multiple spots near my base if i have a drowned problem, never tried the trident part but the catch chamber takes like 5 min to build XD
I thought you had to give it a trident you already have with enchants and such, so it would pick up the enchanted trident and drop its regular one, the kill it to get the enchanted one back.
No, as mentioned in the video, you push the button at the dropper to give them a nautilus shell, if they pick up the shell they drop the trident, if they don’t pick up the shell you have to kill them and hope for a trident as a drop!
Well, it is not 100% auto because you have to give them the shell by pressing the button in order get the trident and on top of that you have to kill them by hand!
@@EndyCraftsjust put a dropper facing into the Kill Chamber full of Nautilus shells that drops one or two every second, have them picked up at the bottom by the hopper (which you have locking and unlocking every second out of phase with the dropper) and separated with a filter, pumped back up into the dropper and repeated. In this way they'll always be a nautilus shell available for a drowned to pick up if they can, and because they drop it again when killed you'll never run out. As for killing them, that's why I specified it could be fully automated on bedrock, where we have Trident killers, which kill mobs and count as player kills. On Java you would have to have some kind of Auto Clicker
I know but the timing of offering them a shell before the trident killer kills them must be right and I am sure you miss out on many extra tridents when you automate this process! This farm is all about squeezing out the most amount of tridents in the shortest amount of time with the least materials! The more you add to it the more it will change away from that but do as you like, that’s cool 👌☺️
Why do you have to put water on every single block at 2:49? Don't the middle two blocks become a full source block when you have a 1 gap space between two source blocks of water?
The spawning radius on a simulation distance of 4 (which a lot of farms and worlds use) is 24-44 blocks in a sphere around the player as far as i understand it. Doesn't your drop distance mean that nothing is in range to spawn on simulation distance 4?
On the main screen of your game, where you have your worlds listed, go to the settings of your world and check for simulation distance, you can change that at any time! If you change it to 4 then this farm will work as you saw in this video otherwise you have to dig deeper according to your sim distance! You can change the sim distance back to your previous distance at any time!
There are no drowned spawning for me, though its at light level 0 and even at night. 20 min afk not a single drowned made it down. skeletons and creepers spawn in the fence gates that replace buttons in java. does this just not work for java?
Hi, this farm is for bedrock players, some java players wrote in the comments that it does not work on java, sorry bro! The only suggestion I can give you is to check if you are on sim distance of 4 because this farm was build for sim distance of 4!
That’s pretty easy, either you fish for shells or you kill some drowned and get the shells from them (they sometimes drop them as loot)! Or you build my fish farm, I have one tutorial on this channel and another one on my second channel which is linked in the description of this video! Both are quick to build (the one on my second channel is build in 5 mins), and with some fishing you’ll collect enough shells! You need just 5-10 shells to get started, later the drowned will drop more which you can use!
Is there a way to make this for java? Nothing we tried worked. Zombies wouldnt see through or go through signs or open fence gates, buttons wont stay. We even tried just a wall of water but the zombies wouldnt go through, when we lushed them through they wouldnt move.
I wish I could help you 🥺 But let me ask, since some made that mistake, have you left a 2 blocks gap between the egg and the blocks above (ceiling)? If there is no gap they won’t be able to reach the egg and therefore they won’t even try to approach it! What I am wondering is, what for do you need the farm? We on bedrock have a use for tridents because we run our mob farm kill chambers with them! As far as I know this mechanics do not work on java, I would guess you just need a trident or two on java, am I wrong?
Ok, so you may not be there because they will rather attack you then the egg, you must be down in the kill chamber to make it work! Also, the block where the egg is on must be in the Sam height as the floor where the drowned are walking! There must be two trapdoors between them as shown in the video (one by the egg and one by the drowned)! And you must have two blocks air above the egg, the roof must not be too close to the egg otherwise the drowned won’t be able to reach it!
Then make them land on a pressure plate, activating the dropper automatically, or place a string between the dropper and the wall, so that the drowned fall through the string, activating the dropper.
No, she is talking about the buttons at the top which keeps the water out of the room where the egg is! Instead of buttons you can use fence gates and open them, that works too! This farm does not work on java, in case you are on java!
I don’t know? I am assuming you are playing on bedrock because on java this farm does not work, this might be a reason! Other then that, some bedrock players have the same problem that their buttons don’t keep water out! Therefore use fence gates instead of buttons and open them, this will work too!
No but what’s the problem with an egg? You need a tool with silk touch enchantment and go to the next beach, there you can find some or you feed two turtles see grass and they will breed! Just break the egg with your silk touch tool and you are good!
I could not find any turtles at all because my world is covered with snow far and wide🫠 But thanks for the reply, I'll use this farm when I find a beach someday😆
Hey, thanks, I am glad you like it! No, just go up the ladders and leave! When you return, go down and start farming! There is nothing you have to do but refilling the nautilus shells which will drop in the loot chest!
why would you mine under water for this farm? you build the encloser, remove the water by placing dirt like i did or use sponges and then you can mine like outside the water.
My farm dont work 🥺 its between 3 spawns and iv got next to nothing i must have built wrong but when i was up there they were spinning on the buttons what can i do to stop this
You have to build it like shown in the video! The space between the sandstone block and the roof is 2 blocks, drowned won’t approach the egg if it’s just 1 block high! The space between the sandstone block and the surface where drowned spawn must be 2 blocks wide and have the trapdoors placed as shown! Drowned can swim but they won’t approach the egg if there is no trapdoors that makes them walk over, even if the trapdoors are open!
Hi, have you checked the pinned comment? You have either placed the trapdoors wrong or the gap between the floor and the roof is less then two blocks or you have a bigger gap then 2 blocks around the egg and drowned!
It is, this trident farm you can build in less then 15 minutes with just a few materials! And to be honest, you just need to afk for 10 minutes to get enough tridents for any of new farm! 10 minutes for about 12 tridents, that beats all other trident farms when it comes to build time, complexity and materials!
hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment! in bedrock we use the tridents for trident killers, we don't have to kill the mobs by hand (sword), the trident killers work remotely.
Not really, you need a fishing rod and 5 minutes of fishing time…or even better…you build my fish farm, which takes 5 minutes to build, and then then 5 minutes of fishing time to get a couple of shells which you then can use to kickstart the trades! Keep in mind, you get back every shell you offered them as a trade + you get even more shells as a side loot! So you need 2-3 shells to start with this farm!
A lot, have you watched the tutorial carefully? There must be a two blocks gap between the sandstone block and the roof and also between the sandstone block and the ocean floor! The trapdoors need to be placed as shown and the kill chamber need to be exact that deep as shown! And finally you should check for caves, this could affect the rates too!
I wish I could tell you! Since I am unable to play on mouse and keyboard (I am the controller type of guy) it’s hard for me to rebuild the farm on mouse and keyboard! If it happens that you give it a try then please let me know! BTW, not sure if gates works in java as in bedrock but you could use gates instead of buttons!
@@EndyCrafts i tested in creative and i THINK trident drowned dont drop trident at all when you present any item to it. also it was pain to get the drowned to the chute. so no bartering in java unless hivemind comes up with something.
Oh man, I am so sorry that you wasted your time with that, really! Thanks a ton for letting me know and good luck finding a solution for tons of tridents!
Thanks a ton for watching my Trident Bartering Farm video! Hope you found it entertaining! 🎉
This farm runs smoothly in Minecraft Bedrock version 1.21.
* Well, i've made a mistake, the room at bottom isn't 12 blocks big, it's actually 27 blocks big (not counting the path to the exit), my bad, sorry for that 🤪
* If you encounter the problem that your drowned won't pickup the nautilus shells no matter what, which seems to be a problem for just a few players for some reason, then simply switch your game mode from normal to hard, according to @snarka6177 this will fix the problem!

@@no-kx6ldthe water resets the mobs fall so they don’t die on impact and you have a chance to barter with the ones who have tridents
Depth probably has something to do with spawning rates
@@no-kx6ld I don't know either. I made 2, one I dug down as shown in the video, the 2nd only half as much. Both work, but the deeper one does catch more I feel. No idea y tho.

This is the first time I realized and learned you could barter with Drowned for their Tridents, that is so cool
It is 👌☺️
I have played this game full-time+ for around 5 years, 10k hours in Bedrock and 4-5k in Java. Never knew.
Resources needed:
1 sandstone
121 solid blocks (1 stack + 57)
49 dirt (for removing water)
2 chests
1 hopper
10 trapdoors
1 glass block
1 dropper
44 ladders
1 turtle egg
Nautilus shells
51 buttons
5 fence gates
12 water buckets (or just reuse buckets)
3 torches
1 Sandstone in the center can be switched to light block also, and cuz it's on the center, the spawn rate didn't get affected much.. 👌
The 49 dirt can be replaced by a sponge :)))
Thank you
@@AlexandruCarjan I was going to say the same thing because a sponge would be 100% more convenient and more efficient than dirt blocks saves time and you don't have to waste your precious time placing and breaking dirt blocks

hey, i am glad you like the farm and the tutorial 😊!
for some reasons some players have problems with the buttons but you can avoid the troubles by placing fence gates and open them!
as far as i can remember i have mentioned that in the pinned comment!

Trading with drowned with tridents is genius I never knew that could be done.
It is, I wish it would work with every drowned but I am not complaining 😂
You can trade with drowneds???
@@awesome-dp1oo not really but you can use a dispenser with nautilus shell on a drowned with a trident to swap items the trident will be full durability.

it isn't trading. this guy is an idiot.
lol, you can call it exchange or whatever you want to call it but if i give him a shell and he gives me an trident back then this was a trade/bartering, he traded his trident for my shell!
Elegant.

Don’t get caught! 👌
I’m building it at work lol
Thanks a lot man. Working like a charm and way easier to build than traditional trident farms.
Hey, thanks for the nice comment! ☺️
I am glad you like it! 👌
The amount of tridents you get this way compared to any other trident farm based on build time and materials used is unbeatable and insane 👌
I needed this for my new creeper spawner that has 9 trident grinders
Perfect, I am glad you found the tutorial you needed 👌☺️
Thanks for the detailed build instructions! Ive got mine up and running, this is great 👍
I have built silentwhisperer one on my previous world and it worked great, but this time i'm building this one. It's hidden and easy to build. Thanks
Hey, sounds good, go for it 👌☺️
Silent’s farms are great but you’ll be surprised how fast you’ll build this one and how many materials you’ll need!
Material and time wise this farm beats any other farm compared to the amount of tridents you get, and honestly, you don’t need that much!
The bug farms gives you tons of tridents but this one gives you about 12 tridents every 10 minutes, that is enough for any new farm you build!
I set up a conduit while building it then after I finished it, took the conduit down. That was a big help getting it started.
That’s a another way to get it done 👌☺️
@@EndyCrafts thank you for this video. It was very easy to follow and it is exciting when you get the drowned to trade for the shell and open that chest to see a full healthy trident.

hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment!
i am glad you like the farm/video 😊
That's a fun mechanic. Good build
It is, enjoy the farm and some extra tridents for free ☺️
I like this thing, though i kinda want to use it to get nautilus shells first.
Also i suspect we could remove the buttons on the sides where you added water to just let the flowing water sweep them in at that point.
I am glad you like it 👌☺️
Imagine, watching the whole vid to find out it’s about the nautilus shells and how to farm them 😂
Now you have a use for them 👌
I would leave the buttons there otherwise it will be difficult to funnel them to the hole!
@@EndyCrafts So I just rewatched the video and I don't think you said how you got your nautilus shells... is this not the whole vid?
You can get Nautilus shells from a fish farm, I am sure I have a design uploaded that will provide you with tons of them!
I use the shells to trade with the trident guys!
I guess we miss understood each other at a point 😂
Digging down 22 blocks then another 22 is 44 blocks which is the limit of sim 4 spawn radius. I think the Bottom level should be higher so more of the seabed is within the spawn radius.
Nope, it’s exactly as that!
The drowned will spawn on the edge so they get lured immediately by the egg!
You can feed the shell drops from a farm back into circulation some will drop trident for it before they are killed
Just check if you have caves nearby which you have to spawn proof!
i thought you can't trade nautilus shells for tridents anymore, i didn't know it just doesn't work for every drowned now, very good to know!
👌☺️
I just made this farm 3 days ago and average about 1 trident a minute.
@@HarleyRocker09 i am so building this
Few questions:
1. Why do i need tridents?
2. How do i get turtle eggs?
3. How do i get nautilus shells?
(Play on xbox)
Thanx
Sure:
@@EndyCrafts thank you
Do the eggs hatch?
No, they only hatch on sand and red sand
Wandering trader also sells nautilus shells sometimes

This worked flawlessly! Amazing farm for when you need a quick couple tridents.
Perfect, thanks for confirming it 👌☺️
@EndyCrafts I've built many other versions of trident farms and hands down this was the easiest to build in early game, the only real hurdle is the silk touch needed for the eggs.
Truly an overpowered farm for how easy it is to build and use!
Thanks so much for the nice feedback!
I am glad you like it 👌☺️
Tyvm for the clear explanation! Great and easy design, I now have to understand how can I build underwater withoud dying I'm noob
Hey, thanks for the nice comment ☺️
You can drink a potion of underwater breathing which will give you 8 minutes of breathing!
Some tips:
- don't build it in a river (2 drown density mob cap vs 5 in the ocean)
- buttons on corners have 2 water source blocks next to them and will break, use another layer of dirt in the corners or use fence gates
- if you don't have any shells just kill the drowns with a sword, you will get some from them
- from my testing it works better if you go -43 levels down from the Sand stone (22 blocks, water, 21 blocks)
- don't stand next to the hopper, move back two blocks to be exactly underneath the middle of the farm
@@EndyCrafts Yes i have the sphere addon, i actually went one block higher than the tutorial. 22 blocks plus 21 blocks :)
Oh, my bad, yeah, you went one block up but I wouldn’t do that either!
They will have a longer path way to the egg and that will also reduce the amount of tridents you get but if it works for you that way better then go for it 👌☺️

My drowned were just spinning on the buttons. Figured they couldn't path find to the turtle shells right. So I extended the roof two more out sideways each direction, dug a little tech for water to fall right, and then got rid of the buttons. Works perfect now.
That’s strange, have you placed the trapdoors as shown in this video?
@EndyCrafts yeah. I had all the buttons too. I waited for like 20 minutes and when I peaked up the ladder literally 5 were just spinning around in circles on the buttons lol. But it's still a really good farm. Cause every other farm has me building like 120 blocks in the sky. This one is so much better.
That is really strange, can you try to place fence gates instead of the buttons and open them?
This might fix the spinning thing!
What do you mean by digging a little water tech? Im having the same issue and want to follow ur idea
1:00 that was personal 😭 💀
It was 😂
@@EndyCraftswhat did he do to you???!! 😢
@@EndyCrafts Oh yeah it does work, I placed it in a kinda badish area so drown aren’t constantly dropping but that was my bad.
Hey, I am glad you like it 👌☺️
So if i dont care about them being one shot, could i actually dig down less and still get the same result with just a little more wear on my sword?
@@EndyCrafts nvm, I figured out it was my simulation distance
Ok, I am glad you found the problem! 👌

For some reason the drowned don’t path find to the turtle eggs. Actually it doesn’t seem like they are targeting or seeing the turtle eggs at all. I have mob griefing on as well
Hey, please check the pinned comment, the solution for that is there! 👌
The water is flowing over my buttons into the chamber it seems. Not sure what I did. It was dry but then I broke the bottom two block and put buttons and there’s water inside I can’t get rid of
some players can't use buttons for some reasons.
however, use fence gates instead and open them, it has the same effect!
I got that part figured out. Just had to break the blocks one at a time and place buttons. For some reason drowns are not going inside though. They don’t seem to care about the turtle eggs
ok, therefore please check the pinned comment

How are you supposed to look for spawning spots in survival mode? How do spawning spots for drowned even work?
It was my mad, it was a bad choice of words!
What I meant to say was that you should check where they spawn naturally in masses!
Lower spots give you higher chances because of the lower light level!
Minutes after the video was posted I have already answered these comments and it is also answered in the pinned comment!
@@EndyCrafts I missed that. Thanks for the response!
can I assume that this will work in java by replacing the buttons and making it a regular kill chamber type farm with looting 3?
Unfortunately not, some tried to make it work in java but it did not work for some reason!
Sorry bro 🤷🏻♂️
I found an underwater cave system near the killing zone, should i build the farm somewhere else or dry the cave ?
I would build it somewhere else, luckily you can find a new spot within a minute ☺️
doesnt work for me :( . The mobs die when they fall, and im pretty sure i made everything right.
I would highly recommend to count the blocks again and do it like I described it in the video but it’s up to you ☺️
thank u endy
You are welcome ☺️
Thanks for watching my video 👌
1. Swim in a river near your base
2. spent 30 minutes killing Drowneds
(I spent like an hour and i got 9 Tridents already)😅😅
Or you build this farm in less than 15 minutes and get 12 tridents every 10 minutes!
Up to you!
@@EndyCrafts But idk why would someone actually need that much trident once you got a netherite or diamond sword with Sharpness
Por que dices que no poner bloques de luz y pones unos?
I see, good luck it works out for your farm 🤞☺️
And no worries, I reply on all comments 👌
Erm... One questions about this farm, what biome you make the farm?
You can build that farm in any ocean, just make sure it’s flat, no caves which you have to spawn proof and it should be some blocks deep because of the light level, the darker the better!
Hey, just built this, my hopper is a bit greedy and takes the shells before the drowned can 😅
Hmm, not every drowned will let his trident go for an shell but many do!
@@EndyCraftsoh yeah hey, after trying more, i realized that if they take it they literally take it immediately. I thought the shell would have to be out for a sec for them to decide whether they want it or not.
Yeah, they take it immediately and drop the trident!
I am glad it works for you! 👌☺️

Why not use a trip wire on the block above the dropper to auto drop the shells when they fall?
Because not every drowned has a trident and not everyone has stacks over stacks of nautilus shells for that!
You can adjust it at any time and do it, np ☺️

i built this perfectly and even upgraded where the items go to a item surface at the surface but no drown spawn for me and i don’t know why

This literally the easiest trident farm to build and perfect for early game and late game!

Hello, in my case the dudes doesn.t walk across the Bouttons an don´t fall in the trap. They only stand infront and doesn´t come in.
Hi, check the pinned comment, you have to follow the instructions when it comes to the dimensions! 👌☺️
I read trident bartending at first and I was so confused
I would be too 😂
I thought you had to give it a trident you already have with enchants and such, so it would pick up the enchanted trident and drop its regular one, the kill it to get the enchanted one back.
No, as mentioned in the video, you push the button at the dropper to give them a nautilus shell, if they pick up the shell they drop the trident, if they don’t pick up the shell you have to kill them and hope for a trident as a drop!
When you kill the drowned holding the nautilus shell that gave you the trident, does he drop it when he dies, the Nautilus shell that is
You always get the nautilus shell back plus you get more shells as side loot from drowned without a trident!
@@EndyCraftsthat's really awesome! It means that you could fully automate this Farm, at least on bedrock
They do but it’s easier to explain that way! 👌☺️
The spawning radius on a simulation distance of 4 (which a lot of farms and worlds use) is 24-44 blocks in a sphere around the player as far as i understand it. Doesn't your drop distance mean that nothing is in range to spawn on simulation distance 4?
i am playing on sim distance 4 and the radius touches a couple of blocks around the farm so the turtle egg is close enough to lure them in.
Not sure what settings i have but my world spawns mobs up to 128 blocks away.
What's the best way to get the shells?
I wish I could help you 🥺
But let me ask, since some made that mistake, have you left a 2 blocks gap between the egg and the blocks above (ceiling)?
If there is no gap they won’t be able to reach the egg and therefore they won’t even try to approach it!
What I am wondering is, what for do you need the farm?
We on bedrock have a use for tridents because we run our mob farm kill chambers with them!
As far as I know this mechanics do not work on java, I would guess you just need a trident or two on java, am I wrong?
For some reason, the drowneds seem like they dont want the turtle egg..
@@EndyCrafts Thanksss, the roof was the problem!
Perfect, glad you could fix that👌
Do the eggs hatch eventual ??
what datapack do you use that makes the button not get destroyed by the water?
None, I guess you play the java version, right?
In bedrock it works like you saw it in the video!
Why doesn't it work on Java?
@@evanramsey1 As far as I understand it's because drowneds carrying a trident, won't drop it for a shell, so no bartering is possible in Java.
Very good farm 👍
Thanks, I am glad you like the farm 👌☺️
Do you get the Nautilus shells back?
Yes, actually you will get more since the drowned drop them as loot sometimes!
good
why can i not use buttons? how else can i keep water from going in the farm from ocean?
I don’t know?
I am assuming you are playing on bedrock because on java this farm does not work, this might be a reason!
Other then that, some bedrock players have the same problem that their buttons don’t keep water out!
Therefore use fence gates instead of buttons and open them, this will work too!
I can’t place all the buttons it stops working when I place them next to the corner buttons what am I doing wrong??
I don’t know but let me ask, are you on bedrock?
However, try using fence gates and open them, should work like buttons!
@@EndyCrafts yes I am on bedrock I will see if it works
It works
Perfect 👌☺️
Is there an alternative for a turtle egg?
No but what’s the problem with an egg?
You need a tool with silk touch enchantment and go to the next beach, there you can find some or you feed two turtles see grass and they will breed!
Just break the egg with your silk touch tool and you are good!
@@EndyCrafts I could not find any turtles at all because my world is covered with snow far and wide.🫠
I could not find any turtles at all because my world is covered with snow far and wide🫠
But thanks for the reply, I'll use this farm when I find a beach someday😆
I see, good luck!
BTW, you can use the website chunkbase to find the nearest beach, that takes away from the gaming experience, it’s up to you!
Is there any way to turn it off without removing or breaking the eggs?
Btw nice video bro
Hey, thanks, I am glad you like it!
No, just go up the ladders and leave!
When you return, go down and start farming!
There is nothing you have to do but refilling the nautilus shells which will drop in the loot chest!
this seems a lot simpler than the one I've used before
hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment!
i am glad you like the farm 😊
Does this work at all in Java? Thanks
hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment!
unfortunately this farm is just for bedrock players! 😟
How can I mine on water? For some reason, mining under water is more slower and I'm going to drown before I can mine
Just use a magma block and crouch to get some air
why would you mine under water for this farm?
you build the encloser, remove the water by placing dirt like i did or use sponges and then you can mine like outside the water.
@@EndyCrafts Idk, I already done the farm, works pretty well
My farm dont work 🥺 its between 3 spawns and iv got next to nothing i must have built wrong but when i was up there they were spinning on the buttons what can i do to stop this
You have to build it like shown in the video!
So i built it correctly but the drowns wont go to the egg do you know why
Hi, have you checked the pinned comment?
You have either placed the trapdoors wrong or the gap between the floor and the roof is less then two blocks or you have a bigger gap then 2 blocks around the egg and drowned!
I once tried to trade with them but he didnt drop his trident instead he just picked it up with his other hand
I had built an old version of one that did not work. This looks promising, I'll let you know how it goes 😎
Nice 👌☺️, make sure you are simulation distance 4 while using this farm!
keep me posted!✌️
@@EndyCrafts they don't seem to want to walk over the buttons 🤷 almost as if it was a wall.
Have you placed the turtle egg and the trapdoors?
That’s the reason they walk over the buttons others they won’t!
@EndyCrafts yea they are there. I can double check but I believe so.. was thinking of swapping buttons for gates
Yes, you can do that too
way better than building a monolith in the sky with nearly 10k blocks.
Is there any minecraft mod that adds this feature to java
Sorry bro, I wish I could help you out! 😞
@@EndyCrafts it's okay just wondering if there was an mod since i'm not migrating back to bedrock lol
This farm is sick
hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment!
i am glad you like the farm 😊
Why do you need a lot of tridents for anyways ?
hey, sorry for the late reply, i have a cold at the moment!
in bedrock we use the tridents for trident killers, we don't have to kill the mobs by hand (sword), the trident killers work remotely.
But you need a Drowned farm to get Nautilus shells.... and if you have a Drowned farm, you'll have lots of Tridents already...
@@EndyCrafts Ohhh, haha sorry I did not realize that you are getting the Nautilus Shells back.
All good 👌☺️
the zombies don't go to the egg?! what could be the problem?
A lot, have you watched the tutorial carefully?
There must be a two blocks gap between the sandstone block and the roof and also between the sandstone block and the ocean floor!
The trapdoors need to be placed as shown and the kill chamber need to be exact that deep as shown!
And finally you should check for caves, this could affect the rates too!
is this possible on java? atleast the buttons dont work in java but have they also changed trident owning drowned?
