The misinformation on retraining is astonoshing. You dont have to be in your window. It is a critically manned career field. Guidance came out in 2018 that you can retrain into BFA career field as early as 2 years into your enlistment. Do not get screwed over by AFPC, or Mypers with them telling you you cannot.

No way are you catching 38 grads out of a class of 60. Maybe 6-7. The career field only has around 400 people in it. Most people getting into it dont realize what it is, and self eliminate the first 2 weeks during training due to poor explanation from their recruiters. Young kids think its going to be Call of Duty, and dont realize they will be teaching. It is much more mentally demanding than physically. The school is also long. 6-7 months , and most people will get into their heads and quit if they dont really wanna be there. DO NOT QUIT! YOU WILL END UP IN SECFO.

      avoid lmao
it's not part of SWOE, though occasionally those who fail out of A&S are offered SERE as an alternative to becoming needs of the Air Force (ie: Security Forces) but it depends on how you perform and how much the cadre like you/what the SERE cadre thinks of you
so you're fine assuming you don't fail, but considering some like 80%+ people fail out of A&S just make it clear you don't want SERE, though I don't understand why you wouldn't want SERE compared to what else they could put you in following failure
