That my twin sister!!! OMG IM FREAKING OUT. She’s so awesome ♥️♥️
Haha thanks! ♥️🌈

@@legalfictionnaturalfact3969 get a life. I see you spewing nonsense on every air force recruitment video. Just admit you were too fat to join and move on like everyone else.
I respect that TSgt Mooney openly said that SERE is an Operations Support function and not a door kicker AFSC.
*this job looks stressful, fun, rewarding, and really, really hard. Great video, y'all got some great PR reps for real. I'm looking into this job more and more, and these videos help me get a glimpse of it*

Gotta be one of the coolest career fields available in any branch!

Have you joined yet? I’m really into it as well
Might consider sere over tacp. Tacp seems like a badass job but damn I’m just a huge nature and survival nerd
That's the only side that rubs me off from sere is that they only teach, they don't really get deployed which is my only con (I found out about it really early but no other career field stuck out to me) but I got over it.
Mik Kat well now what do you do?
Seriously, I thought this was like an Airforce version of Ranger School or something...
Thats how I feel!!
@@LexPuente Obviously
@@RobotRebelCinema It is. It's one of the toughest schools that the AF runs that every pilot and special operator has to go through. But the "SERE Specialist career field" is the job specialty that that teaches and runs that course. It would be like if "Ranger school instructor" or "airborne school instructor" was it's own MOS that you can get a contract for during recruitment.
If I was a sere specialist and decided after 4 or 6 years that I wanted to be in an air crew or pilot would I have to take sere again?
Do you guys have trips like that after you graduate
If I would have joined the Air Force instead of the Marines 11 years ago I would have tried to be a SERE specialist.
you should have just gotten a real job.
Legal Fiction Natural Fact how is that not a real job??
@@legalfictionnaturalfact3969 How’s your relationship with your father?
@@Believerofchrist9928 can't get a real job? look, lots of boys get pegged by their uncles.. but they don't all turn out to be aspiring murderers. it's up to you! we're rooting for ya!

I don’t know the different parts but I’ll find one that suits me and I would like to try and join a special ops branch

Is there an officer AFSC for this field? Asking for a prior Marine.
There is not. They've been trying to work that for a very long time.
Can you cross train into this field at any time or do you have to wait till your cross training window. Is it considered an in demand field that you can cross train at any time ?
You will normally have to be in your cross train window to cross train. You may reach out to the Total Force Service Center for further questions.

The misinformation on retraining is astonoshing. You dont have to be in your window. It is a critically manned career field. Guidance came out in 2018 that you can retrain into BFA career field as early as 2 years into your enlistment. Do not get screwed over by AFPC, or Mypers with them telling you you cannot.
can anybody tell me the process in after washing out of being a sere specialist like what exactly happens
Steven Tran some say you get put into security forces
You are retrained into another career field. I would consult with my local recruiter to ensure you get every detail.

So.. how long is the pipeline? I know that the school is 3 weeks long if you're a green beret in training ect, but how long is it to be a SERE specialist as an AFSC?
Bryan Seijo it’s the length of BMT plus another 2 weeks at lackland for selection then 6 months of training which consists of being in different environments
@@WokeEarth selection for what? you don't suppose c-level actually trains by killing civilians in the woods, do you?
Legal Fiction Natural Fact no Of course not, what the hell did that come from? I didn’t say anything about killing ppl fam, it’s selection for SERE Specialist pipeline.
So if I enlist to be a SERE Specialist, I'm almost guaranteed to be stationed in Washington State?
No. That’s where you train after selection in TX
Fairchild is the primary sere school but it wouldnt be cost effective to have members return for recertification so teams of SERE are sent to different AFB for that purpose
Is this only for enlisted or can officers go into sere?
Sere is an enlisted career field

I heard Reserve/Guard training for SERE Specialists is different. Is this true? And how is it different? Anyone from the 934th AW here?
@timothyphouthavong No, it is not true as every Air Force career receives the same required training for that career. Reserve/Guard attend the same training as active duty.

How many fail and how many graduate?
Unfortunately, we do not have current attrition rates for this technical school. - Pam
When I went through back in the 80’s,.....60 started,......about 38 graduated. However there were hundreds of applicants,..but generally 2/3.
I heard 50-60% fail out and most of that is due to self elim but I don’t know how true that is
After watching toms of podcasts and videos from what I’ve heard, it’s upward of 70% attrition rate.
No way are you catching 38 grads out of a class of 60. Maybe 6-7. The career field only has around 400 people in it. Most people getting into it dont realize what it is, and self eliminate the first 2 weeks during training due to poor explanation from their recruiters. Young kids think its going to be Call of Duty, and dont realize they will be teaching. It is much more mentally demanding than physically. The school is also long. 6-7 months , and most people will get into their heads and quit if they dont really wanna be there. DO NOT QUIT! YOU WILL END UP IN SECFO.
How do I avoid this career in SWOE
More particularly A&S
avoid lmao
it's not part of SWOE, though occasionally those who fail out of A&S are offered SERE as an alternative to becoming needs of the Air Force (ie: Security Forces) but it depends on how you perform and how much the cadre like you/what the SERE cadre thinks of you
so you're fine assuming you don't fail, but considering some like 80%+ people fail out of A&S just make it clear you don't want SERE, though I don't understand why you wouldn't want SERE compared to what else they could put you in following failure
lol....
