- Chris George ran one of the most successful and notorious "pill mill" pharmacies in Florida at the height of the oxycontin opioid epidemic in the late 2000s. He began his criminal career as a teenager buying a selling illegal steroids and eventually ran it through a business front with his brother. In his late 20s he entered the burgeoning pain management industry and quickly Chris and his brother were running the largest pain pill mill company in the state; South Florida Pain Clinic. His entire family entered the business with him and soon he caught the attention of the feds and was eventually served 10 years in prison. Today he runs a legitimate successful business and has been featured in numerous documentaries, television series', and news shows telling his story.

He’s a criminal and a scumbag on top of that. Fuck this guy.
It's all business. 😎Congrats on 1 million subscribers, brother
He’s a criminal and a scumbag.
Honestly really like the way you got him to do a full mental gymnastics routine over this. It’s so cool watching you grow as an interviewer and solidifying your style.
My mom was a nurse in 1998 when she hurt her back. 2 years later all 4 of us kids were separated were all older now and my mother overosed in 2006. West palm oxys ruined more lives then just the person getting them
They got caught because someone from Kentucky came to buy pills and they fell asleep on the train tracks and the train killed them.
Sorry bro.
I'm so sorry for your loss, man. I gave 15 years of my life to oxys. Florida had them coming and going. Get em hooked on the oxys and then send them to your detox, rehab and half way house. All the while raping your insurance for $700 a cup of piss...
Sorry to hear that bro. I live here in New Orleans and basically the same story. Countless friends got hooked. Some cleaned up. Others OD'ed and died.
I wasn't expecting a response. I just happened to relate to the video. I'm 32 now and moved on from thos chapters in life but I want to say thank for your condolences. God bless all of you
This dude needs to go back to prison for another 11 years. He says he doesn't blame himself; he blames the drug addicts... I've been in Palm Beach since '03, for the whole thing. He 100% knew what he was doing. He created addicts and made his money doing it. He's no better than the people bringing fentanyl in today.
Truth! Pill mills destroyed a generation in Lauderdale
Man I was thinking the same thing
I disagree. He already had a built-in customer base when he first got started. That means they were already doing pills. So instead of robbing people, stealing pills, defrauding doctors and pharmacies, clogging up ER's with false claims of pain, etc they can come to a real doctor, and receive real pills that did not have any adulterants in them. No hidden ingredients, a dose was a measured dose. Now, they shut down these pill clinics and everyone switched over to heroin, and the overdose death rate went through the roof. The problems people were having were dose related. There's a big difference between taking 30 mg of oxycodone, and bundles of heroin.
He’s innocent. Have the government change the rules. He played in a grey area and got money. Addicts gonna be addicts no matter what. If you think he’s a felon, so are supermarkets for selling sugar snacks with chemicals which are worse as a whole.
@@Wafflesforbrekies These are the same people that blame McDonalds for making them fat. They forget about any personal responsibility. If they took as prescribed, they would be fine.
I have never commented so many times on one video but this dude is the ultimate mouth breather. Kind of sounds like he’s interviewing a pug.
Maybe he loves coke 😂
It’s more a psychology and breathing sigh, it’s right before and after a question he doesn’t like or thinks is stupid so he is making a disapproving sigh letting out air, a lot of people do this but people confuse it with being a smooth breather, regardless if they are, this situation is the guy making the exhale a tell, like poker face tell, the heavy breathing is actually him annoyed or disapproving the question or conviction of some question, so it’s actually worse than heavy breathing , it’s his attitude coming out In body language and the lame disapproving sigh of breathing exhale
Or asshole there was no ac in the building, which there wasn't so shut the fuck up
interviewing a pug haha
😂That's crazy bro.Sinuses jammed up like a one way road during rush hour.
"If I didn't do it, someone else would". Spoken like a true drug dealer
It’s true facts though… blame the higher up elites for controlling the trade.. not the street dealers just trying to make money..
The government is behind it all. You can't by these amounts in Mexico. Now its the fentanyl with horse tranquilizers... weird, why not just take good heroin...bc its your government controlling it all. No one in Europe would switch to fentanyl.. makes no sense.
So true!!!!!!
... is he not right?
Ex drug dealer here this problem wasn't created by me or him it was big pharma grew up when oxycontin was huge here in Appalachia then Purdue had to stop producing the good OC use to go to American pain Purdue pushed doctors to sell oxycontin as a non addictive substance I was addicted to oxycontin at age 13 now it's way worse with fentanyl pharma is too blame this epidemic wouldn't be near as bad this guy saying it's worth it to take the pill 8 years in prison and over half my life addicted still have to take responsibility of my own actions

Yeah this guy pissed me off
Exactly. And think about how many men destroyed their bodies with his steroids too.
He does.
Just doesn’t care.
They destroyed their own lives. Nobody forced those junkies to swallow a pill. Blaming the drug DEALER is just crazy to me. If the junkies didn’t want the drugs, then maybe they shouldn’t have purchased the drugs. It’s common sense!
as an addict, its a choice...if it wasn't him, someone else would and did sell..its not like he was the sole connect for pills...lets not pretend this guy is some bond villain...addicts are gonna get high no matter what
Fuck this dude, I was a legitimate pain patient and it led to a years long heroin and then fentanyl addiction, I'd respect him more if he just admitted it was about the paper and not try to deflect it onto the patients who became addicts because of pain pills
yeah its his fault you did heroin......
Exactly!!!
Cmon, do you think your doctor gave you them out of a good heart. Its all about the paper and if you don't like it. Don't use
I was a legitimate pain patient and was addicted to Tramadol I feel you brother I hope you’re doing well now
Or just don’t take pain meds and maybe learn some discipline and also taking accountability helps too
I am in my 14th year of sobriety from heroin or opioids. My addiction was from an injury wear I was prescribed Percocet. After 6 months of taking them regularly I lost my insurance and started buying percs on the street. That turned in OxyContins where I was snorting 5-6 oxy 80s a day, that turned into snorting heroin, then shooting heroin and absolutely destroying my life. Went to jail, destroyed my family, literally lost EVERYTHING! All because of an injury that 800mg ibuprofen would have been enough. The hardest thing I have ever done was get clean and stay clean. I’m coming up on 15 years sober Oct 12th. You don’t give a flying duck on how many lives you have destroyed for your greed. And even after going to prison and so on you still aren’t taking any personal responsibility
Idk man, I’m also off opiates for a long time after a horrible addiction but it wasn’t really anyone but my own’s fault. If this guy wasn’t doing it someone else was. If anything the doctors have the most culpability, they’re the ones that took a Hippocratic oath, they’re absolutely the most immoral along with those involved in getting so many doctors to behave in such a heinous way and call it medicine. He is totally insufferable though! Hope you’re well friend!
Bro - so happy (and proud) for you. Keep up the good work - don't ever let your guard down. 14 years in and I am sure you got a handle on how to manage you sobriety but, just trying to give a positive shout out. You have many "bothers and sisters in arms" with you. Peace - love you.
Damn bro you're about to hit 15? Good on you brother.
kinda like psychopath type shit.
Well done bro…I respect your honesty and have huge empathy here in the UK having been through a similar journey.I went from diplomat to dope fiend in similar circumstances but it was friends and needing to cure big Ecstasy comedowns ( we were all mad Ravers in London in 90s and very liberally with all drugs) I amd several friends went too far and BOOM
Congratulations on your sobriety.keep on keeping on 🌈😎
Damn...this dude is a animal he said Perdue is not liable for all the junkies of the world...thats crazy
I think you’re not fully understanding what he’s saying man. It’s nuanced.
And he is right that during the heyday of the pain clinics down here, no-one was getting brand name oxy unless you specifically wanted and asked for it…
Did Perdue have a ton to do with and probably was the catalyst to the very beginning of the opiate explosion?? Absofuckinglutely. But by the early to mid 00’s when he was in biz, etc? It was all about the Roxy’s like he said. The Actavis, Malinkrott, etc etc
Its people's choice to take em or not.
Nuanced or not....I speak from the same position as a Perdue and I tell you that even I myself know what role I play in "my city's situation" and hold myself responsible for my role...i also know that these people choose what they choose but you can't choose bullshit if bullshit isn't a choice to choose from
@@tyrecedickson7661well said
@@tyrecedickson7661 Perhaps… But let’s take this shit a step further.
So they shut all the clinics down and crack down on prescribing like CRAZY. Make all the docs fearful of prescribing anything at all. Even to legit patients. And then, even if you DO get a script, it’s nearly impossible to fill it because the pharmacies are assholes.
So what happens?? We get the explosion in heroin and Fentanyl and mf dying more than ever EVER before. I personally south rather trade back to all the clinics being open than this fentanyl shit we got going on meow

We would give the nurse a 100 dollars and wouldn’t have to sit in line. Once my blood pressure was high and they had me go to the hospital because I couldn’t get my medicine if my blood pressure was high. How? How is he any different than your local family doctor? He didn't make them, approve them, or tell the lie's that sold them, he just distributed them like any other business. The government knew, the FDA knew and every doctor that prescribed the opiates knew exactly what they were doing, they purposely addicted any one they could to opiates causing the opioid crisis, not drug dealers. As soon as they stop makin the OCs the very next week you had the fetty to corner the market.im just glad I made it out...
I don’t think a pug has as bad of an underbite as this guy
he should have started a dentists office as well..
And the annoying mouth breathing into the mic. Had to turn it off after a little bit.
Why are you an infatuated with a man's mouth🤔
@@kuumaliimam1es Jealous? he's got millions! and you?
That was bugging me too lmfao
Here in south jersey the pill mills coming from Florida were crazy back in the 2010-2012
I’m from NY but lived in west palm from 04-09 and went from working to hustling coke to addicted to Roxy’s and me and some buddies would go to Miami mon-fri to pick up scripts. I was just a driver and would get up to 25 pills plus cash for my time. It was crazy. Fast forward through the heroin addiction when I came home, I’ve been recovered for almost 7 years now 💪🏻
I love how this guy says steroids dont effect you long term and after every sentance he has to cactch his breathe ... yeeeah lol
Kingpin 😉😂 he is a lame that got greedy and got caught I know some real Kingpins and he is not it...
I pray I’m as cool as you one day
He is Definitely a kingpin. They supplied a huge percentage of the countries pills during that time
He moved 23 million pills outta one clinic. If that ain’t a kingpin then nothing is
he made his own pills. so practically top of the chain
@@tan-ne4zi so if you are cooking fentanyl in a jungle in Mexico are you top of the chain... Nope just a link in it...
Johnny’s questions HURT my brain sometimes man wow
Great pod
This guy is full of shit. I live in Florida and the pain clinics had so many people in the parking lot all out of state tags on the cars & some clinics stayed open till 4AM. One even had a Mobile MRI imaging bus in the parking lot. Inside people nodding out. They had color tape on the ground for the patience to follow so they didn't get lost.
that makes it sound even more legit
This guy is for sure wearing tight slacks above the ankle and loafers w no socks
I'm a born n raised Florida boy who went thru 10+ years of opioid addiction, i witnessed the "opioid epidemic" literally first hand. Even had a bunch of cousins from west Virginia who would come here for pills. I will tell you right now how we used to take advantage of these pill mill clinics:
1.) "Doctor shopping" before laws were changed, one person (me, lol) could go to 5 pill mills in one day (if u could hit all 5 in one day) and get scripts from every one. 240 roxy 30's × 5 in one day.
OR
2.) "Sponsoring" you could gather 10 different people, get a mini van, and go doctor shopping. You sponsor the cost of each person's appointment/ script and just break them off 20 or 30 pills for doing it.
God & prison are the only reasons I'm alive today cause I'd 1000% be dead if not. 💯
I use to drive from Alabama to Florida get all kinds of shit
Amazing that 20 years later looking back on this and seeing the state of the opiod crisis today he still doesn't think he did anything wrong.
I stopped when he blamed the drug addict. People thought they were buying something harmless at some point and found out too late they were addicted to heroin
This guy's teeth and lips freaking me out
This guy needs a movie or a reality show.
Great interview.
It's sad how nostalgic these days are for me, good times lol.
Same. I was in Tampa 2006-2010…great time to be a pain patient.lol
new orleans ,la. 200$ cash walk in one door, see the dr. say hi....walk out go to the pharmacy...120 80mg oc, 90 2mg xanax bars, 90 somas. i dont remember much but what i do was awesome lol.
@@jimmyjump8335I use to drive from Shreveport to NOLa. Then Oklahoma and Texas.. Crazy days
this guy johnny mitchell is the FEDS
Proud to see you doing good finnalky they booking you for showes 3:55
johnny said why am i not surprised😂😂
This guy is either very stupid, has a horrible moral compass, or is trying to justify his actions with rediculous justification and ideas.
If it’s the last, dude is a sociopath, who still doesn’t feel bad for what he did, or own up to it.
If this is the case, dude deserves a really long jail sentence again.
His negligence just to make money is sickening.
Off exit 32 baby. I went to his spot.
Damn fr fr
❤❤❤ so stoked for this one
Perfect case of someone who is so smart he's dumb
I think Johnny should have on whoever gave him that haircut. That's the real criminal.
Same person that does Danny Mullen's cuts
When johnny brought up morality dude didnt know weather to shit or wind his watch
I lived this and tha pain clinics played a huge role in my life, dropped out of HS selling crazy amounts of Roxy’s, sponsoring people, shopping, at the end of the day those were much safer times. Now everything is laced, atleast back then people were aware of what they were buying.
Man I wish I had that kind of access to this stuff in the 2010s opiates were so hard to get in Nebraska. Most drugs are. I can't imagine having seemingly unlimited oxy
When Johnny actually presses the guest 😮
This guys allergic to accountability!
Yeah! Better hope the judge that gave him a break doesn't see this. I would respect him more if he said. " there were unintended consequences to our business that we were unaware of. We were blinded by money and profits at a young age. Looking back at it , I would have never gone into this business."
I've been in pain management five years and my theory is if you need them you're not gonna abuse them or sell them💯
Hahaha if you need them you’re not gonna abuse them. If you need them you’re gonna need more and more and now you’re abusing them.
@@turdferguson3297that’s not true it takes away the pain. Your not using it to get high so you don’t just need more and more you clearly not an addict
When the word gets out you have pills! new friends come out of the wood work!!
@@leemontoya8028 brilliant lee so true
What a joke. You are clueless
How did Johnny not know that selling prescriptions, especially prescriptions not prescribed to you, is illegal??
If only they kept this “pill mills” up today people could get safe affordable drugs that are regulated
I believe this guy is not taking responsibility for what he did the irony about this is he could have been legitimate and still make a lot of money but he wanted fast money and basically ended up ruining his life.
His life doesn't look ruined to me! And I'm sure he's got a few million tucked away!
@@leemontoya8028 he ended up hurting people I live in Florida so I saw the damage those pills did.
Responsible for what? I used to be a pain management patient myself, the owners of the clinics weren’t responsible for me ruining my life, I was.
@@chrisw.4318 I agree I'm a opiate addict myself and people need to learn to take personal responsibility.
@@chrisw.4318 Yep! Some people like to place blame!
Pretty sure he offed the doctor that was getting 50% who died in a "car crash"
thought the same thing
wow this is horrible, he really has no remorse for being directly responsible for drug addicts obtaining their lethal drugs
I visited his old pill mill back a year ago. Shits a healing spa now lmao
Bro, you have great people on your show but you need to do some research before you interview these people, Purdue is the Sackler family. It's the name of the company they're not too separate families.
Yea this is one of my most watched interview channels but he definitely needs to do more research. I've noticed that in a few episodes.
Johnny is a busy man, you can’t research all the history like that. You should research the difference between “too” and “two”
Yea thanks dick, other podcasters are busy as well and do research. Makes the interviews that much better. Now if you could take Johnny's pecker out of your mouth he can get back to work
@@ryry5473 Sorry my man about the grammatical error I used talk to text. I don't care how busy you are then don't do a show interviewing people as a job then. There's a lot of people that do just as much as "Johnny" does and if he wants to keep sounding like an ignorant idiot on the show let him.
My uncle was a DEA agent down in Florida. He went in thinking he was going to get king pins. He was part of the operations of pain clinics. He basically told me he retired early because of how corrupt the department really is. They would hold a meeting and blatantly say what they are going to try to charge these places with even though they basically had no evidence. He was even part with planting stuff cause they needed to. Shyt was crazy his stories.
Good thing you corrected him when he said he don’t blame the creators or himself
He was actually on the cutting edge of a lot of big money schemes.
Johnny this is my Sunday routine, this dude kinda a bozo.
He definitely a fucking bozo. This dude really don't give a fuck and has no remorse for being a big part in the epidemic. I'm a full blown heroin addict because I was prescribed oxys for my wisdom teeth and it went from one refill to 4 more refills because i "still needed it" for pain. They ruined my life. I was getting pills for my pain then I was also getting cough medicine because i had a "dry cough" and "couldn't sleep" and they had no problem giving it to me and when that stopped I was already addicted and withdrawing so I needed to find something that worked and i discovered heroin and now i own a construction company but I'm still addicted smfh. This is one of the doctors that assisted in fucking my life over
I remember the vanguard video where they were outside his clinic
Listened to "American Pain" twice on audiobook it's well written
As a Oxycodon addict in the Netherlands that is going in to Rehab on thursday for this this video give me mixed feelings
Just curious how much the pills go for there in the Netherlands? Are the fake oxy (fentanyl) finding their way to the Netherlands? Good luck to you. I live in Arizona but went to the Netherlands for vacation a few years ago and had the best time you could imagine.
@@fowlermasonknoll no fakes here yet , for a box of 30 capsules instant release about 110 usd a box but I always bought 80 mg oxycontin from the muncdipharma brand for around 550 usd (30 pills)
@@fowlermasonknollno they prescribe them still quite a bit and oxydolor 80s are very cheap in EU no need for fake
Wait… selling drugs is illegal‽‽ I’m glad they cleared that up for me.
Who knew????
Pharmaceuticals not drugs go to Cambodia or Kenya they are perfectly legal
It the moralising hypocrisies of the US that make me shake my head
To incarcerate someone for selling a medicine made legal amd FDA approved is stupid
Lol had some good appointees at the end though
I need to be in your show man I can tell u a lot about prison lol I am living it now 😂
What an arrogant fool. He totally corrupted drs that were either in trouble or new or not that good. Because no legit Dr that made real money would ever stop to that kinda low ball way of making money.
What is wrong with this dudes teeth. He made a lot of money to not fix that under bite
The way he post his videos reminds me of the shawn ryan show great content
the interviewer seems so lost, asking if selling Xanax or valium is illegal? the dude he was interviewing had so much potential information but the host didn't really ask anything valuable. hopefully someone else interviews this guy and really grills him.
All my friends got 15years. They made a mandate to give the street suppliers 15years mandatory for 50 pills or more.
Damn dude, where this going down at? That's wild?
And the big fishes at Purdue pharma all got off with no jail time just small fines.
What state was this?
For Johnny being "the Connect" all he did was bitch about how worng this was or that was. sound like a mom lecturing someone this whole time.
Did this interviewer really think just because it’s a pharmaceutical that it’s legal for anyone to get behind and sell? lol
HEY JOHNNY,,,
I cant get your vids on UA-cam music in the Podcast Tab!!
Please fix this cuz I listen to all my podcasts and music on the same UA-cam Music app. I can get Ian bick, camp Gagnon, and download them for offline listening but not your podcast please help😢😢😢😢😮😮😮😂
Now they have a 90mg morphine equivalent per day ,so u can get 90mg of morphine or 60mg of oxy as a oxy is 1.5xs stronger they say,any doc prescribes over will get a inquiry from the state
Morphine is weak dude, no one wants that trash. They've had morphine for centuries.
