Just to clarify, Johor Baru is not trying to build tall buildings just like Singapore 😊.The rising business in Johor Baru with investments from China, Japan, Singapore and the Middle East has resulted in the need to station businesses in Johor Baru, as it is cheaper than Singapore and has a much cheaper port. Kuala Lumpur for instance, has far more tall buildings than Singapore. Peace ✌🏻
So whats the comparison about? The corruption is far more then Singapore. Perhaps maybe number 1 corrupted country in the world. And salery is the 3 times lower then SG.
It seems you guys r just born to Vlog...... Wonderful Video which is infused with a touch of Traditional temples , Food , Markets n More ...... Good as Gold
In malaysia, the most important rule for a food shop is to make sure their customers are full and satisfied. So it's ok to ask for extra peanuts or even top up your soup
The soup supposed to go with nasi ayam. No peanuts though. That's why that lady (the seller) laughed quietly to herself. Still she was kind enough to gave some to you.
Hi..Next if both of you visit Johore. Hope can drop by to Kota Tinggi for ourdoor activity (ATV fun ride)at RAF Point or visiting beautiful Beach in Desaru or Tanjung Balau..
Hi, actually the cracker , there are many ways to eat it. you can crush it into the rice. Or as the indian method is eat it at the end, it cools down the spiciness of the meal. the sos on the chicken is probably kicap manis, sweet soy sauce
that old chinese shop basically sells Chinese temple paraphernalia.. they are offering to their various deities and spirits.. you will find that all over south east asia..
You can try Hua Mui Kopitiam, its a small legend restaurant in Johor Bahru,if you go there i recommend you to eat at second floor,Tunku Idris (the son of Sultan Johor) usually go there to hang out
Hiiii, I am Dan from Vietnam. I am going to visit Johor Bahru in July, and I am looking for places that local young people enjoy going (like nice coffee shops with traditional decorations/ best spots for hanging out). Could you please suggest some?😃 and I would also love to know best spots to grab authentic Malaysian food 🥹💓

Hello ur friend from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 So how was the blue Mountain Dew Michael? I saw the reaction on your face when you took the first gulp , not good my friend, by the way I hope you have not turned blue. Enjoy your stay and thanks for sharing. Michael you have a unique sense of humor buddy which is just brilliant 👏 👍 😀
@@DodoExplorers Yech that must be absolutely disgusting. I personally like the drink Mountain Dew, but I only drink if my options are very limited regarding choices.
Not many tourists come here to visit unless they are going to Singapore but it is a city that is worth visiting for a couple of days which is what I did
The glass temple was built in the 1920s but wasn't a glass temple then. It was renovated with glass tiles about 10 years ago after the current committee president saw the glass temple in Bangkok as related in the video.
Welcome to Johor Bahru and thank you for visiting Johor Ancient Temple. This temple was built in 1870. It was erected to bless the Chinese settlement during the opening of Johor Bahru in mid 19th century. You can see there are five deities placed in the inner hall of the temple worshipped by five Chinese clans. Feel free to drop by our Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum about 2km nearby. We have another new museum opening on 19.06.2022. Both museums chronicled the history of Johor Bahru for the past 178 years. Hope to see you both again in the near future!!
22:50 no that is Vishnu. Shiva is the most easily recognisable deity at 23:00. India has over 33 million deities and growing. even Indians have no clue about most of them. if you go to villages in India every village has their own unique deity.
Well i think he’s referring to the history of the johor bahru old temple. Once it was on the plan to be demolished by the Johor government but the Chinese community defended and it was a pain history
Food and shopping experience is good in Johor Bahru, but this city is pedestrian unfriendly. You have to walk very close to moving vehicles at times. Outside the City Square area, there are not many dedicated and safe pedestrian walkways for wheelchair users and senior citizens. You need time to get used to it when you first come to Johor Bahru from Singapore.
Your method of eating rice has improved now....that's the way the local eat sir..boleh bah.....the Malay song background music is so beautiful to listen to
I think it is more important to bring the food in your mouth somehow. Be it with a fork/spoon/hand ... or you go full caveman and shove your face on the plate. In my opinion it doesn't really matter that much 🤷♂️
That black sauce is not for nasi ayam.. that's why ur nasi ayam became too spicy 😂, it is for another dish which is Meehun Soup & just put a little in it.
This video would be much better if u guys stop acting like a tourist guide. I mean please be more relax and chill when travelling. It's okay not to do so much research beforehand. Just enjoy the things there. Tht's what travelling is all about, just to enjoy the changes happen around u. No need wide knowledgeable explanation about some sort of buildings tht people will eventually forget by the time. Dun worry. All we need is u guys to be happy here. No burden pressured on u guys. Making research about stories behind of building and memorize it could be stressful at some point. It's okay if u found it more enjoyable and meaningful to do tht. But i just wanna let u know its okay if u dont feel like do it. Perhaps u can ask us? This is a great opportunity to have some chit chats with malaysian people on the comment section isn't?
Hindu temple is not a religious one because Hinduism is not a religion. this is all the nonsense written on Internet. it is a culture which existed long before internet came. when the the foreign invadersc ame to subcontinent and ruled they all had their religion so they thought subcontinent people must have a religion too. so they called that Hindu religion. because it is more of an oral culture not a well written one given its vastness and complexity people were manipulated to believe these things. because subcontinent was ruled by foreigners for a long long time it worked and still working to some extent. but if one looks at the fundamentals of Hinduism it is absolute opposite of religion.
