Edit: Frozen Empire would’ve been perfect if the ghost girl plot was changed to something else. If there was a decent reason for Phoebe to let gorraka free, it would be a great movie, but she’s just like ‘WelL ThIs PErSoN AsKEd me tO’

I appreciate your ranking even if you put Afterlife over the original. I understand those people who didn't grow up with the original to think it's somewhat overrated and dated but for me as someone who grew up with the film, I always have a blast with it and the comedy in my opinion still works to this day. I personally view the original as a lightning in a bottle film that breaks many of the rules of storytelling but still manages to work extremely well!

I agree with your list having grown up with the original. Although I do appreciate his honesty and would spot on agree with most of his detailing about his overall perspective on the franchise.

Vigo is an underrated villain. To me he's the creepiest, and spooky looking.

That weird lesbo relationship was certainly strange. Anytime any spengler has faced being left out or any adversity it was with rebellion, not looking for love. I felt that plotline really made Phoebe look like an idiot.
@@divorceddad_ Fr and it kinda ruined her character for me, especially with the plentiful screen time she had compared to her brother (who only had like 2 scenes to himself)

Nice ranking, Chris. Honestly, the 1st one is my favorite. I've only seen 1 and 2. But maybe I'll watch the other 2 before I see Frozen Empire, then I'll share with you my ranking.

Have not seen frozen empire but here’s my ranking so far:

2: gb 2 tied with afterlife

My dad was a teen when the original Ghostbusters came out in the summer of 1984, he was 19 when Ghostbusters 2 came out 5 years later, I saw Afterlife with him and we both loved it, tomorrow we’re going to see Frozen Empire in theatre hopefully it’ll be good as well

The original Ghostbusters is my favorite, one of my all-time favorite films ever. I have always had a soft spot for Ghostbusters II though, definitely not my favorite. As a huge Ghostbusters fan, I personally think there isn’t a “bad” GB movies per day…can’t wait to see Frozen Empire next weekend!

My issue with Afterlife was that there was no conclusion, or at least a satisfying one. It felt like when you're a kid having a playdate and your friend has to leave before you can finish the game.

I literally just finished frozen empire
1. Ghostbusters an absolute classic and some great comedy
2. Frozen empire was so fun and added a lot of horror to the comedy
3.afterlife one of the best legacy sequels ever
4.Ghostbusters 2 was good until the final act
5. 2016 this was was so stupid
EDIT: I didn't mind having a lot of characters in frozen empire until the end where James Acaster was just randomly side lined

I have to say that it bothers me that Vinz and Zuul are never considered main\primary antagonists, despite being recurring antagonists. Same thing, more or less, for Ivo Shandor, who, despite only appearing in one movie, was the secondary antagonist of the saga. They could adapt the video game, in which they resurrected Shandor and in which he was the main antagonist. And who knows if they could do the same thing for Vinz and Zuul. I would find it cool and fair, personally.

I enjoyed 2016. The extended version makes it better, but I don't really think any of the movies are great there, just fun movies not made to take seriously.
2016 isn’t a part of franchise and that woke feminazi crap shouldn’t have been made. Regardless, 1 one is good, afterlife and frozen empire. 2nd was meh
they all suck rlly bad besides the original imo

@@elivincent3795 Have you heard of the cancelled movie Ghostbusters 3 Hellbent from the 1990s? It was an interesting idea where Chris Farley would’ve played one of the new Ghostbusters and it would take place in a hellish New York.
