Both acav and Mike force can fly the "light helicopters" The Cayuses north of the green hornets spawn area are intentionally left open to accommodate low player counts. Trucks made by the workshop can also be used by Mike force and Green hornets. So some small assets normally locked behind the "companies" can be accessed by everyone, but very few
No you have to be on a the team as the vehicle type to use the crew served weapons
Thanks for making this. Had no idea about the rank and gear thing. Does your characters stats go between servers similar to KoTH or are they just per server?
It may be per server, but I haven’t tested it
@@BevoDevo I've played on a few different ones and while I haven't taken note of it yet, my gear and role seems to remain the same as when I last played it, I'm thinking it is just server side

One thing to note is, please don't use things that are used by northern forces. Things like NVA helmets, nonlas, black and tan outfits, and even things like aks and rpds will probably result in you getting teamkilled either from long range or people itchy on the trigger.

Couldn't agree more. The enemy weapons and gear shouldn't even be available. Everytime I see someone using enemy guns or gear I immediately tell them we take no responsibility if you get teamkilled. Then I proceed to purposely team kill them untill they quit or use regular gear

The anti venom and medicine doesn't work yet. If you get bit by a snake you just need water and food
yeah the snakes are killing the gameplay in Mike Force. There more poisonous snakes in one square kilometer of the map then in all of Vietnam.

Any team can fly the helicopters you just have to get in the co-pilot seat and scroll down to take control with the mouse wheel.

Very good tutorial thanks. I have 3 questions:
1- Can we create new respawn points like mobile HQ's? Because it gets hard to fly from all the way airport.
2- How can we extend visibility? In-game menu doesn't seem to be effective.
3. How can we turn on the flashlight on the uniform?
Engineers on acav can build spawns, not sure if u can turn on flashlight if not holding it
Extending visibility would be through a script or a mod. You can’t turn on flashlight on uniform unfortunately, but you can get a flash light as a secondary and press L to turn it on

Is the mike force gamemode only for PVE or is it for PVP as well.
Very good and informative video.
Its only PvE and you can only play as american against north vietnam, the mode its a lot of fun, good thing is there is Koth servers for this dlc if you want to play PvP

I would prefer playing as Americans anyway but it would add more variety if you could play as both.
@@legendarybrando348 I dont know if its there a PvE multiplayer mode yet that let you play as Vietcong because only have played mike force and some sp but in single player you have 1 mission that let you play as a Vietnamese soldier, in koth one team is vietnamese, anyways im sure with the time they will relase some mode that let you play as vietnamese pve i would like that too a lot
@@legendarybrando348 oh sorry yes it have i forget escape mode (dont know if that its the name exactly) a pve (10 players?) coop where you are a captured vietcong soldier a you must escape of the americans killing and picking up weapons and ammo, the ai helis just destroyed me 🤣

For the radio operator how do you pull up that radio interface to call in air strikes if you have the training and the backpack?
Scroll wheel. It'll be listed as radio support.

Trying to find info on the medic and demolitions roles, they don't seen to have any special abilities.
Do the vehicles respawn? Have never played multiplayer in Arma(never had high speed net and this is just a bootstrap) But am wanting to learn

you can speak in game or most servers are using team speak and task force arrowhead radio

Odd question, how do you know if fobs need resupplies?
So if you’re on the ground and look at objects in the fob, you will see all this info pop up, including whether or not it is decaying. If it is, then you will need resupply

I don’t really understand the antivenom. I got bit and just munched some chicken and water and nothing else happened
1. How did you bring up the radio support to just click on a place on the map and confirm? Have taken the radio operator training etc. Cant figure that out.
2. How do you get past the [ not in an ACAV] to build a basic spawn? Have also tried after taking engineering. Nothings clear with this :( Some clear documentation would be rad from the makers) :(
I agree, documentation would be great, but they are working on it! To answer your first question, make sure you have radio training, an RTO backpack, and then it should be a scroll wheel option which will open up the menu. To build, make sure you have engineer training, a shovel, and then press “N” to pull up the build menu. A checkpoint is the respawn building. You smack it in the shovel to build and then need to supply it with a construction crate. Hoped this helped!

How do you build mortars?
Lately I've been getting an error message that results in comm failure. It says, "taskforce radio addon 1.0 is not updated or installed" and I have no idea how to fix it.

Is there no way to just make a small mike force server for myself and my friends to mess around in? I was checking today and I can make a server in game that my friends can join but I dont get an option to make a mike force server :/
You need to download the mission. It's a scenario, not a base game mode.
So what are people using to communicate with each other in game?
Tfar. It’s a plug-in for TeamSpeak that makes it proximity chat in game
Discord or game chat. Only old people use teamspeak

WHO PLAYS IN 3RD PERSON
I just downloaded this game, and arma 3 for the first time a week ago. Trying to custom keybind has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life... There is just such an overall lack of intuitive design. And no ability to remove HUD in multiplayer, seriously? Night missions are brutal because of the contrast of bright white useless details shown on screen.
Is this dlc optimized or still runs like crap?
It runs pretty good overall, by Arma standards at least

How to play Mike Force - TLDW: Become pilot, goto airfield ,get heli. Not exactly a guide on how to play.
As soon as I join it’ll show me a list of players and what not and I hit OK it’ll start downloading shit for the map but before I can download anything I get kicked it tells me to restart the battle I thing
So I just got armor and the Sog dlc, and them brand spanking new to the game, why do I keep getting kicked is there something I need to do before joining
