  • One of the most challenging things to master in art is drawing proper clothing folds. They seem so random, and yet it’s obvious when your drawing of them isn’t quite right. There are some rules to be followed, believe it or not, and if you learn the basic principles, as well as do some practice on your own, you should be much better off!

If you subscribe, I add a dot to a wooden canvas that represents you! The more dots added, the more the stipple drawing will be revealed!
NOTE: It is very possible that topics I cover on this channel have been covered on other channels with similar ideas and terms, however I will never intentionally copy anyone

Doesn't dive deep into the problem.
Doesn't even try to approach it in a scientific manner by tackling the data of what should be considered in the system.
Stretch points and compression points have themselves 3D information, which, with the addition of physics, determine how the folds and creases behave in multiple circumstances. Matter of fact, these stretch points can be combined to form a stretch line, or stretch area, or stretch volume. And it is physics. The fabric itself has stiffness vs softness that impact the result.
Also there's the case when these clothes are wet, leading to how the system is affected with wet fabric.
All this data and the explanation can't fit in a 1 minute video.

@@battyforpumpkins Learn very well, but don't wait for a video to do that. There are books on drawing clothes, folds, and fabric.
