I'd say setting up Oro's "cheap" tactics are harder to setup than Urien, SA3 Ryu and especially Yun but when you get someone into them its harder for them to do anything about it and generally there's less variety of what you see than Urien and Yun, makes for less interesting matches than those other characters
It needs to be stated though that Boa is the only person in North America doing this well with the character. I see ppl talk about Oro being very strong or using unblockables to discredit Boa's skill when they're literally the only person playing Oro at this level in NA. They are finding ways to win 3-7 matchups against some of the very best players in the country. You have to work so hard for that kind of success and it takes so much skill.

To me, the funniest thing is that boa used to play a very very solid, footsies, by-the-book Ken. He just said "fuck these footsies" at one point, and now, this.
Oro is definitely the most underrated character in the game, character is way up there and for the reasons mentioned in this vid. Boss has him as top tier in his list. He's the most infuriating character to fight (at least for me), you can be playing the entire game perfectly and all it takes is one random interaction/guess where they land close.MP and you are DEAD. When oro is knocked down, it's like he's the one pressuring you and you are incentivized not to do anything or potentially die.

Love these 3rdX videos tbh back then I never gave this game a chance..I was to busy playing CvS2 and MVC2 to care about SF3 . If I wanted to play Street Fighter I walked pass 3rdx to Alpha 2 just because nobody was playing it....but this game is pretty good....Thanks

boa is damn good. i believe oro can't do anything safe if his close MP is blocked, and it can't be confirmed since you have to cancel the first hit most times, so it's a risk for him to just go for it if you practice the punishes.
As a Oro main myself he's definitely one of the most dangerous characters even if you have to do very specific inputs that change slightly depending on the situation
