forgotten 1971 lawn boy bricktop, will it run again after sitting for years??

- I got this bricktop in a deal with a bunch of other vintage lawnboys and parts. it was stored outside for many years with another lawn boy stacked on top of it. follow along as I try and breath new life into this old bricktop. thanks for watching God bless.

I am 71 now but when I was a young teen, I mowed my then elderly Neiber's lawn with one of these. Mowed so well I love them.

There's a guy in Bloomington who is selling a bunch of Lawn Boy mowers. A few years ago , he had a few storage units FULL of them.
I think once I get moved and settled , I might buy one or to bring back to life over the winter.
These resurrection videos are great.
There's a lot of guys who have huge collections of them all over the country. If your on Facebook there are many awesome groups loaded with good information and parts and project mowers. I'm glad your enjoying the videos. God bless

Amusing. I live in the City, have planes going over from Midway Airport that's a mile away, trains going by a half block away under the expressway...and a Rooster crowing from my small flock.

Knight, thank you so much for watching. I've been to midway Airport a time or two. It's about 2 and a half hours from me. You ca have all of that big city living it's definitely not for me. Surprised they allow roosters there.
Chicago ordinance allows for backyard chickens, I have two roosters...the neighbors tolerate them as they benefit from the fresh eggs.
Opposite ends of the state and a lot in common. Keep them videos coming.
Knight our neighbors love our chickens as well. We used to be Able to free range them here in town but other neighbors wanted their own chickens so we had to shut them in a smaller area. We have two roosters at the moment too will soon be down to one. We have downsized alittle. Had just under 20 in our smal flock. I look at them as self preservation and self defense for ones family these days. My wife looks at them as pets 😂 the polish rooster you hear in all my videos hates my guts and tries to attack me any Chance he gets but he loves her and let's her pick him up and he will literally fall asleep in her arms. Never seen anything like it.

The flat of the woodruf key on the crank should be vertical, not parallel with the taper. This will also prevent the flywheel from seating. I have the PDF version of the old LB manuals for the C-Duraforce engines. Let me know if you need/want a copy.
The next year, Lawn-Boy released its first engines with the solid state (CDI) electronic ignition.

Do you know anything about the model 6280 I have one in very good shape but don’t know much about them
Model 6280 made between 1980 and 1985. Should be a commercial. Should have a metal carburetor. That's about all I know.

I just bought one from someone for 30$ model is 7020 can you a bagger on that one?
Yes you can. There is a different mulch plate adapter that bolts on and a rod and a bag attachment. Great deal on scoring a bricktop for cheap. They are great mowers. Thank you for watching. God bless you

I've had pretty good luck with coils off eBay. They're relatively cheap.
