Myutants died for this. They just needed a bit more support, they had a good base to build on. Banishing, SS from deck, searching monsters AND backrow, and 2 decent bosses. 1 for the flirt, and 1 for the hurt. Also Psychic, so Emergency Teleport works. War Rocks are just so bad, not even the ridiculous amount of modern generic warrior support can make them decent. Edit: I am a fucking Mokey Mokey and actually confused War Rocks for rock monsters, not warriors. DOesn´t make them less terrible.

Ignoring the structure deck coming, I don't think War Rock would be able to break the soft locks of old school Ice Barriers, and War Rocks wish they had a Flamvell Firedog or Rekindling or Tuners in their toolbox (which at least let you toy with Ayer's Rock Sunrise, Fire King Spells, or even Spellcaster support for Magician).... Maybe Ally of Justice is accurate though xD

Had a pot of desires, HFD, Lightning Storm and terraforming to get the field. The deck was hideously stacked in his favours, and he had 7 cards in his hand. Even taking out 2 for HFD and Lightning Storm, that's 5 cards he had which somehow didn't result in 6000 points of damage.
Rata ended Legacy of the Worthless because of the idea that Konami knows enough about the game balance now to make all decks at least playable. ...Well.
Technically there was supposed to be damage done, feather duster destroyed call of the haunted, which unless I am mistaken, destroys the monster it special summoned when it leaves the field. So, magician should have gone with, inflicting 2100 damage from a direct attack.
And to think that Volcanic Rocket was a TCG Exclusive..........How the mighty have fallen........... Day 700 of waiting for Good Pyro/Volcanic Support to arrive in the OCG/TCG..........
I want something like a fire monster that can only be used as material for fire monsters and can simply be special summoned. Then when it leaves the field banishes a copy from deck to add another one. Some good extender like this. Fire decks need it.

The duel also made me realize that the goat deck my be able to beat a lot of current rogue decks, and I would like to potentially se it as a series, Maybe called Goat VS?
The deck had mystic mine for 7 turns and did nothing. Goats wouldn't beat rogue decks, they just beat arguably the worst archtype to ever be printed in yugioh

@@TraaaaaasshBooooaaaatttt Gladiator beasts were once meta, and they didn't entirely depend on their battle phase to make a play, they got cards to play around their gimmick, or to enhance your approach to it. They also got powerful (for the time) boss monsters that helped them deal with threats like Gyzarus and Heraklinos. Dream Mirror is a better comparison to War Rocks, they are way to overly reliant on their field spells to accomplish much, but unlike WR, they got means to atleast remove cards without ever having to set foot in the BP to do it, and they also got cards to help minimize the downtime that they didn't have a field spell up for (Hypnagogia for searching, Dreamtelling for recovery and Fantasy for both recovery, longevity and protection).

Exactly! This particular duel was a little one sided, regardless of how undeniably shit war rocks are. I think even most rogue tier decks would really struggle against double delinquent, snatch steal and metamorphosis. Rematch against pre support ice barriers and it would be more interesting, and prove the point better

@@Farfa Yeah I get that he lost his field spells and probably a fourth of the engine was banished off Desires but 7 cards HAS to be able to put you in a winning position against essentially no interruptions lol. The deck just doesn't work unless it's mixed with something else or until the second wave of support. Also his build was not good; one Desires can legit banish HALF of all possible War Rock cards played since only 7 exist and he said he plays 3 of all of them.
While I know the deck is a complete joke, the card “The A Forces” would work really well with their play style since it boosts all your warriors’ attack by 200 per each warrior you control
I think konami forget that there is a Battle centric swarming architect called amazoness. This is just amazoness with slightly better effect. Konami hyped war rock so much that they forgot to nake actual good effect.
I'm pretty sure you could beat War Rock with early GX era Batterymen (back when the only "Batteryman" monsters were the 3 originals plus the boss monster that wasn't a member of the archetype that was even worse). In fact, I'm pretty sure you could beat War Rock with a Pyramid of Light turbo deck, probably.
That player actually got seven card in his hand and didn absolutely nothing, i mean the only reason he could do something was because 2 good cards, Harpie's and Lightning Storm

Bruh not as a stand alone deck with 7 cards against Delinquent Duo 😂. It might make Gouki or Amazoness more capable of OTKing. It's literally impossible right now to play more than 21 War Rock cards in a deck they can't be their own thing and good. They're getting a next wave of support so until then they only function as a possible engine.

Without a cracked card or extra deck monster it's probably not going to be competitive. Unfair to judge them now though with only 7 cards total released.
@@rez3r092 That's the thing and why I worded it the way I did. Virtual World is an extra deck archetype, and they have plenty of variety in that regard. They're getting their new cards in the TCG too that will give them even more variety. But also, they actually have EIGHT main deck cards even without the support. Not to mention multiple playable extra deck cards. War Rock is not treated the same, but I also don't think they're meant to be competitive. VW is obviously a much more well supported archetype; TCG exclusives tend to be smaller at first so we'll see how much support they get.
To think not doing Metamorphosis on Parshath is the only reason War Rocks had any sort of hope to clear the board.... with generic staples and not their own stuff xD

That player actually got seven card in his hand and didn absolutely nothing, i mean the only reason he could do something was because 2 good cards, Harpie's and Lightning Storm

The fact that War Rock is being unironically compared to decks from some of the earliest formats really says a lot about them.

Bruh not as a stand alone deck with 7 cards against Delinquent Duo 😂. It might make Gouki or Amazoness more capable of OTKing. It's literally impossible right now to play more than 21 War Rock cards in a deck they can't be their own thing and good. They're getting a next wave of support so until then they only function as a possible engine.

@@mateocrudele5343 I don't expect them to get anything broken, but if they do they might be a better engine at least or just possible to stand by themselves. Without a cracked card or extra deck monster it's probably not going to be competitive. Unfair to judge them now though with only 7 cards total released.
@@Boristien405 If you don’t count the extra deck, Virtual World had seven 7 cards too, and look at them. Konami just designed them very badly
@@rez3r092 That's the thing and why I worded it the way I did. Virtual World is an extra deck archetype, and they have plenty of variety in that regard. They're getting their new cards in the TCG too that will give them even more variety. But also, they actually have EIGHT main deck cards even without the support. Not to mention multiple playable extra deck cards. War Rock is not treated the same, but I also don't think they're meant to be competitive. VW is obviously a much more well supported archetype; TCG exclusives tend to be smaller at first so we'll see how much support they get.
To think not doing Metamorphosis on Parshath is the only reason War Rocks had any sort of hope to clear the board.... with generic staples and not their own stuff xD

War rocks is actually a galaxy brain play by Konami so we'll be greatful for literally any other archetype/support card

But like, getting Ojama locked out of main monster zones can be genuinely scary if you don't open outs

After watching this video. I wanna break the UNGA BUNGA rock boys but i then learned the level 5 barely has any targets that are good except Unga Bunga Bashileos and Heroic Challenger Unga Blades. I mean you can probably one off Shield Warrior but to be honest we don't play Shield Warrior.
