I mean it prevents more arguments down the line. If you think you have interruption, just say hold on. Like they can't fault you for thinking it over and learning interaction. Fifteen seconds is ample time to Ash or Veiler or whatever. If for some reason he thinks he can't, don't be specific to give away card knowledge, but just be like "Im reading the card and" and encourage them to explain to you what the next step of their combo is.
This is one of the reasons for EDOPro. If the opponent takes too long, he gets time deducted from his turn. Also the opponent directly gets shows "would you like to respond to that yes/no", that leaves no ambiguity.
Keeping in mind that due to how this deck works the bottom of your deck is often stacked via the effects of various monsters. Entering the deck causes it to be shuffled upon exiting which could result in a GAME LOSS. So how could it be seen as agreeing to a response?
As a magic player, its a shame that Konami doesnt have an official judge rulebook that judges can refer to when it comes to rulings. A communication issue would have resolved in seconds if they were more competent. But its hard being a judge for Yugioh because there arent official ways to study the rules itseld.
There is a rulebook, well sort of. It's a document listing out what a player should or should not do. The document is about gameplay mechanics (similar to the issue here) and not specific ruling for cards (if that's what you're saying), and because of the gigantic card pool, having the latter is simply unfeasible. Also fyi dueling book is NOT an official client and acquiring judge status on this platform doesn't mean anything when it comes to official events.
Really hate people who take 15 seconds to make a move on DB. Then when you make your winning move that's when they say "wait, I had a response". Justice was served that day
Busttahwolf: "Dueling is just doing your combo the fastest." Even when I went against PK Orcust I was like: *C'mon, man. C'mon. You know the combos. I know the combos too. C'mon man."
This was the HYPEST judge call I’ve ever seen. Typically, I just sit there for like 5 mins waiting staring at the screen while judge takes their time arriving and settles the dispute in about 5-10 seconds tops and then continue lol.
Sasha Ostrovsky I hate the argument that people think streamers need to be in control of their chat. They can ask them to settle down but anyone should know that twitch chat is an entity of its own. Glad it all got resolved though
Ya farfa doesnt believe this what so ever. From his comments to me he firmly believes that silence in person is consent he also believes that he should be able to turbo through all his moves disregarding opponent interaction and basic dueling guidelines as you are new player and and inexperienced.
Bruh these are words out his mouth typed to me lol. If u ever see my comments, he responds, and shows this is 100% how he feels torwards yugioh. All I got say is watch when everything resumes and he is doing commentary for a event u will never see a game like the 1 we just witnessed. Players will always with or without words always acknowledge if the opponent has a response even if they have seen their hand and know they dont have a response. its basic yugioh to always consent and if u dont u risk discrepancy dude he went against coulda stood his ground and been like I sincerely was thinking how can u take that away from me for 15 seconds of no response on a super powerful format warping card lol.
I've played a person that would take over 1 minute for every response, so I started playing without waiting for consent and declaring he was afk. He would come back 2 minutes later and complain I hit the afk button.
He just made an 11+ minute video on arguing with dueling book judges. And it's entertaining.

This is why it's a bad idea to play Yu-gi-Oh online. The game needs so much interaction that you need confirmation on everything. And Project Ignis is not good too, since it reveals your hand's information to your opponent just by pausing for response. I miss my local :((
I noticed something funny about ygopro though. You can hold the A key and it will act like you always have a response even if you dont so you can bluff nibiru or ash etc
lol at judges thinking waiting to respond doesn't matter in a combo deck. Remember Konami literally hit cannahawk because ritual beasts take so ridiculously long to do their normal combos. Time absolutely matters lmao
The opp even says he went straight into the deck to resolve needle fiber and it's funny how you didnt post the moments that led up to that and how long it took to respond shoot as long as he didnt see your monster that ur summoning off fibrax ur good. And if he did it's super arguable that u just played very fast...
The way the game works when you do an action you ask your opponet response. After the opponet has time to respond( in the game of yugioh you have roughly 30 secs in between actions to make a response) thats how it works at every local region and ycs. Head judge ruled with you simply just cause you both were ignoring rules.
"( in the game of yugioh you have roughly 30 secs in between actions to make a response)" Where did you get this from? You've made this up, there's no source on this.
@@Farfa in texas thats what the judges tell us the player. You draw your hand after 30 seconds make a action ask for a response. It can take up to 30 secs cause the player can check gy field and the card effs. This is dependent on what's available but you have time. Anything longer then that and its a violation of the slow playing rule we have in yugioh. Communication is key. In person to person its easier and quicker cause a hand gesture or a nod can qualify but its always safer to get a verbal response so that way issues like this doesnt happen. If this happened at a sanctioned event 9/10 times both players would probably get a warning and game state will reverse back to the original activation of dispute. And my final point is since it is a online someone silent for 15 seconds does not make it grounds for your eff to go off. Where i agree with you was the other player communicated poorly and the deck viewing argument the judges were trying to make made no sense and you were 100 percent correct on that.
@@dumpstersludge9915 I'm just letting you know that I didn't read all of that except the first sentence but your judges are wrong and are inventing arbitrary numbers. There is no set time for making a play and there is no set time for thinking too long or too little. It's all contextual and based on the current gamestate. They are making things up, there's nothing in the policy about this.
@@Farfa then theres nothing in policy to say your right either. Every region can have different rules but you have to get consent to resolve eff. "One small win for man.... is a huge victory of thy enemy! You may not come back Alive.... but this is.... our independence day!!"
*Farfa wins*
LightPhoenix: HOWEVER
*video ends*
Me: a season 2?
Nope, it wasn't important
@@Sillimant_ Nah bruh! We gotta write a fanfiction on what happened next!
Really hate people who take 15 seconds to make a move on DB. Then when you make your winning move that's when they say "wait, I had a response".
Justice was served that day
This is why people don't play dueling book that often
Bro 45 mimutes desition just for a 10secs mistake crazy
Let's get farfa a Yu-Gi-Oh lawyer
25 Seconds? Bruh, you could damn near full combo in that amount of time.
And next time on dueling book farfa takes on distant coder + 2 greens over a burning abyss ruling what will happen stay tuned to find out.
HE SAID HOWEVER
Must’ve been an awkward game after that
he lost it KEKW.
but he won game 3 so it was worth it :)
Busttahwolf:
"Dueling is just doing your combo the fastest."
Even when I went against PK Orcust I was like:
*C'mon, man. C'mon. You know the combos. I know the combos too. C'mon man."
LightPhenix: HOWEVER...
Farfa: We Defeated the JUDGES!!!
Watchers: Bass Music Intensifies
This was the HYPEST judge call I’ve ever seen. Typically, I just sit there for like 5 mins waiting staring at the screen while judge takes their time arriving and settles the dispute in about 5-10 seconds tops and then continue lol.
I need a girl who would defend me as fiercely as farfa defends his decision to not let ash go off.
Did you know that light Phoenix is from France. So he actually has an hause in France..
What did the grey judge say when the video cuts at the end when they are typing “HOWEVER” ?
HOWEVER! Because this argument was stupid, I'm ending the duel in a tie. Begone YUGITHOTS!
He said that they needed to communicate more and that Farfa needed to control his chat lol.
Sasha Ostrovsky I hate the argument that people think streamers need to be in control of their chat. They can ask them to settle down but anyone should know that twitch chat is an entity of its own. Glad it all got resolved though
@@0zNIE Yeah, if the streamer isnt having any problems or anyone else, then the one salty guy can leave lol.
Farfa was ready to take this to the Supreme Court
Just imagine Farfa being a judge...oh god we r lost
What would his ruling be if I were to summon Magnus Magnus, Great King of the Computer?
I'd take Farfa over every single locals judge I've met until now.
This needs to be made into some wholesome underdog movie about the combo player that could
All of this and he still lost
In no regional ycs or local will ever allow silence is a response
Ya farfa doesnt believe this what so ever. From his comments to me he firmly believes that silence in person is consent he also believes that he should be able to turbo through all his moves disregarding opponent interaction and basic dueling guidelines as you are new player and and inexperienced.
@@E36_shayne i wouldnt say that i havent watched much of his content to make a character call im just going with this video and whats in it
Bruh these are words out his mouth typed to me lol.
@@E36_shayne finally one comment that is not completely braindead like the spergs in Farfa's chat.
@@no.2hailsteelfan335 I genuinely enjoy farfas content lol but ya I also have a working brain.
This has strange bill Cosby energy
I've played a person that would take over 1 minute for every response, so I started playing without waiting for consent and declaring he was afk. He would come back 2 minutes later and complain I hit the afk button.
I really would have loved to have seen coder in this call
He just made an 11+ minute video on arguing with dueling book judges. And it's entertaining.
This is why it's a bad idea to play Yu-gi-Oh online. The game needs so much interaction that you need confirmation on everything. And Project Ignis is not good too, since it reveals your hand's information to your opponent just by pausing for response. I miss my local :((
same dude, but DB is all we have until this virus ends. DB is the colsest to real yugioh we have right now.
I noticed something funny about ygopro though. You can hold the A key and it will act like you always have a response even if you dont so you can bluff nibiru or ash etc
I still come back to this video every now and again i think this is your magnum opus
I want to know where the grey was going with that "HOWEVER" in the end
Nothing relevant
I can’t be the only one who was wondering what lightphoenix was going to say after he said HOWEVER right... what did he say
lol at judges thinking waiting to respond doesn't matter in a combo deck.
Remember Konami literally hit cannahawk because ritual beasts take so ridiculously long to do their normal combos. Time absolutely matters lmao
Lmao those swear edits killed me.
Good luck with your games
The opp even says he went straight into the deck to resolve needle fiber and it's funny how you didnt post the moments that led up to that and how long it took to respond shoot as long as he didnt see your monster that ur summoning off fibrax ur good. And if he did it's super arguable that u just played very fast...
farfa: playing his opponent, searching deck
opponent: has a surprise seizure
farfa: ffs, do u have a response or not
*Remember kids if there gagged, its consent*
Dark_Shilohシロ lol what kind of gags are allowed ? 😂😂😂
Javier Campos one where your opponent forgets how to play
This is why I believe in EdoPro and Nexus Superiority.
Just bull rushing yourself through a play cause you deem you have given enough time doesnt make it consent. If this was a serious duel we both know youd wait for verbal consent or call judge for slow play.
