Boy George seem s to have a huge heart, and I wish people would leave his sexuallity alone. He can dress how damn well he pleases!

I grew up with Boy George and Culture Club. I bought their music. I watched their videos. I saw them in concert. I turned out alright.

George had real talent! Who gives a frick about how he dressed. I will always love the music he made/ makes. It's upsetting that he had to constantly answer these questions. Why was it never about the music?

The general theme here seems to be a fear that androgyny would totally consume and take over American culture when in reality they hadn't considered that there has always been and will always be a spectrum of different kinds of gender expression among men and women.

Every man and woman, comes from a woman and a man. Choosing feminine or masculine expression is a preference, yet it’s all human. We aren’t all one thing, our experience as human includes both of those expressions.

"men are being more urged to be sensitive" proceeds to make that statement after showing Beat it, which is literally a song about being tough and standing up for yourself😂

From the Archives: Boy George on "Face the Nation," July 1984 1739pm 9.11.23 just watched gremilns. quite telling.... he was my sister's fav pin up boy. "a bunch of puffs and spazzes" as i used to call them... so don't come looking for me if you wanna lay affectional discourse and/or affectation at the door of the more tolerable of the siblings - cos it aint me!!!!! p.s unfortunately my answer(s) do not qualify me for jobs or any kindda social interaction or with reference to being made accessible... the 80's, eh!? tch!!! house husbandry doesn't make a person more sensitive, it makes people more irritable. man and wife can get by. man alone just about manages, woman alone probably has a breakdown.... "sexual confusion"? hardly... no idea why you had a bunch of suits chit chatting about popular culture when they weren't part of it... unless these guys, after dishing out the hyperbole and stern rejoinders to these (absent) confused kids, ended up donning the leather and lenses and sauntered off to the local S & M club.... wine and middle aged spread cheese dos i think they call such establishments... ummmmmmmm, did hitler invade england? i missed that lesson...

Why is a good or an ideal to "know" one's gender? How does one come to "know" gender? Is it given or assigned unto a person? Does that knowledge depend on received wisdom? How does one "have" a gender? Is identity a kind of property?

In the 80s it was not a discussion. You were either gay bi or straight. No one cared otherwise. I miss the 80s

Now we know that people can be influenced in their choice of sexuality.
We understand that the messages that children are inundated with do have an effect on the way they turn out.
