You're so welcome Jeremi! We've got many more cubasis 3 videos to come! :)
@@MobileMusicPro quick question since you do mobile production I would like to hear your opinion. I’ve got Auria Pro and Cubasis 3, but only use Cubasis so far what’s your opinion on Auria Pro?
@@creativeroom365 Auria is a fine program, it's really all up to your personal preference and workflow, auria is like protools and cubasis is like cubase.
@@MobileMusicPro I really appreciate your quick response and your caring for your communities.
@@creativeroom365 Thank you for the kind words, doing our best out here :)
Thanks for such a useful tutorial.
Thank you so much for watching Veer!
@@MobileMusicPro hey i have a noob question...I have Auria pro on my iPad. Is there a way to export my cubasis3 projects into Auria pro? Love your tutorials. They’ve saved me a lot of time!!! Thank you so much for what you do.
@@jerryfick4523 Hey Jerry, unfortunately there's no way to directly convert your cubasis project into auria but you can export the audio of all the individual tracks and then import that audio into Auria.
Though it is basic but very useful for collaboration of music projects.
Totally agree Bla!
Nice!
Thanks man! :)
MobileMusicPro You’re welcome! Thank you too!
Great video bro...Plz how to bounce a midi track before EXPORTING IT...?
You can export individual tracks in the Mixdown menu. To bounce a MIDI track you can either solo the track and mixdown to audio, or you can solo the midi track and export just the MIDI by selecting "MIDI" in the mixdown menu.
@@MobileMusicPro Thanks a lot bro you respond so quick you're the BEST..!
How do I consolidate the tracks BEFORE exporting to an engineer? Would highly appreciate a video on that! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Not sure what you mean by consolidated but in the video I show how to export stems or how to export as a single wav/m4a file.
Hey Vortex, Can you mixdown multiple stems from the same track? For example a drum loop split up into individual segments. Thanks
Hey Sonic, you can certainly mixdown individual tracks but not individual elements from the track. If you had a drum track for example that was midi, you'd have to copy and paste that midi to multiple tracks and then remove the parts until each track only had the midi for that stem. On a side note there are ios apps that use AI to actually pull stems from full tracks in real time, you can remove just the drums, or just the vocals, and so on and then export those audio wav files.
@@MobileMusicPro Thank you for the quick reply. That helps me out. I suspected this but could not find the info to clarify it. Keep up the great work.👍
Yeah this video is great . I was all set to buy an external drive but this could sway me the other way.
So glad the video could help Wyatt! I do love using the fileserver storage model :)
@@MobileMusicPro I’m still learning Cubasis via your videos and guide but at some point I’m probably gonna buy some sound packs . Ever think about doing a bundle ? For Black Friday, perhaps ? All I need is for Cubasis to get that tempo track (so I can mix time signatures a la Cubase ) and a sampler track. Please Santa .. Oh , and that advanced user guide of yours in 2023 , lol
@@WyattLite-n-inn Absolutely going to do bundles very soon!
@@MobileMusicPro Great! Also would you suggest Drop Box vs iCloud ?
@@WyattLite-n-inn I've never used iCloud so a bit hard to comment on that but Dropbox works great!
How do I bring a wav up or down so that it doesn’t shift position and for punch ins I could have all on one track at the end?? Know how to it on protools but clueless on Cubasis 3
You can rearrange tracks by long tapping on the name of the track and then moving it up or down. The punch in options can be found by tapping on the bpm at the top of the screen and then choose an option where it says Recording Mode.
13:30 = Create Mixdown!!!
I’ve found my Cubasis Master over here.
Hah! Thanks so much John!
Is it OK to just copy the CBP folder in the files app for a quick back up of everything. Using the Zip approach you have to do one project at a time. With two instances of the files app open I can select all the CBP folders under the Projects folder of Cubasis 3 and copy the whole lot to my OneDrive as a snapshot backup. It will take up more space as I haven’t zipped files but its fast can be done in one go. Plus easy to just copy back from OneDrive to Projects folder in the CBP format as the CBP folders appear to be self contained with everything needed for the project inside the folder. What are your thoughts on this method?
Yep you can for sure backup the entire cubasis folder which will backup the projects and the media bay. Or you can just backup the projects folder inside the cubasis folder. Backing up the folder will allow you to quickly backup all projects at once.
I just did this (copied every single file to an external hard drive, cause I desperately need to make some space), but I noticed that my Mac is unable to access those folders in the external drive. Is this normal?
@@alivianna You have to copy the folders as well, and there may be some files that the mac cannot see or open.
@@MobileMusicPro now I just need to get an iOS shortcuts to back it up automatically like GarageBand does
How to set up different time signatures (3/4&4/4) in the same piece of music, and how to set up the fast and slow steps. Thank you!
Unfortunately Cubasis doesn't support different time signatures. However you can time stretch both audio and MIDI clips to slow or speed them up. If you're looking for a DAW where you can edit time signatures at will I suggest taking a look at logic pro for iPad.

is it possible to import Cubase 12 project files (recorded on PC) into Cubasis 3 on IPAD PRO? I record my main projects on PC but my vocal room is at another place, so I need to record vocal parts on my IPAD pro with Cubasis 3. Can I get my Cubase project files in Cubasis 3 on the IPAD, record my vocals, and then transfer everything back to Cubase on PC? How do I do this? My pc is a desktop, and not mobile at all.
Unfortunately you can only import Cubasis projects into Cubase, not the other way around. Jamie has a great video on that here ua-cam.com/video/NuzVzntOwqE/v-deo.html
How can I import project/stems from a different DAW?…I have Studio one 3 on my pc and want to export a full mix/project from studio one into cubasis 3
Hello, unfortunately at this point you'd have to import the stems 1 audio file at a time by double tapping on each wav file to create a new audio track. There's no automatic way, you just have to copy the files into cubasis's media bay. To copy wav files into the cubasis media bay simply locate the Cubasis 3 folder in the "on my ipad" location and then go to Audio and then My audio files, anything pasted in here will now show up in media bay.
Hi, noob question here. When you made the 'dry' export of the stems, you took away all of the effects. Couldn't you just unmark 'include effect tail' in the mixdown option? Or is that something else? Great video, learned a lot, man!
Hey! Checking the include effect trail simply includes any audio after the audio region ends (usually generated by effects such as reverb/delay), it doesn't disengage all of your insert/send effects, you'd still have to deactivate those all manually.
MobileMusicPro Ah, that solves it. Thank you very much!
Lots of my mix work has 50+ track count. I really need a way to import more than one track at a time... right now, thats the only reason I’m not mixing on ipad
All in good time Brendon!
Hey teacher, every time I try this, when I put the tracks in ableton, they are not in sync.. do you know what I should do? Thanks
As long as you're mixing down all of the audio tracks at once and using the same bpm in ableton there should be no timing issues.
@@MobileMusicPro the bpm is the same. Every time I bounce it comes out different, even before putting it in ableton
@@irieleaf7068 It sounds like a plugin may be malfunctioning at mixdown, different every time suggests perhaps a plugin on the master track. You can try freezing some tracks and / or temporarily removing some plugins on the master track before mixdown to see if it makes a difference.
Could you help me.? My project broke down while I was working. I can't open it because it tells me that the project is probably damaged. I am also unable to open a copy of the project even though I have not worked with it before. I'm afraid that I will lose this project as well as others that are saved. I'm afraid to open them. How to fix it. Or maybe the developer of the program should do it.
Hey Janusz, so sorry to hear you're having issues. My suggestion would be to post on the official cubasis forum and Lars should be able to help you. Here's the link: forums.steinberg.net/tags/c/cubasis/7/cubasis-3
Thank you for your help
Steinberg still haven’t fixed the fact that there’s no mono mix down. Such a pain when recording vocals to another project due to Cubasis’ performance issues!
Yes the requests for mono continue to pile up :/
@@MobileMusicPro I did figure out today out of sheer frustration I could just carefully move all the comps to one track and copy/paste from one project to the other. But that’s only good if you’re strictly using Cubasis. Ugh! 😒🤪
Can Cubasis export project on wav file?
Yes you can mixdown your project to WAV. Simply open the MediaBay and click Mixdown, and then click create new mixdown :)
@@MobileMusicPro Thanks
