Peter says the Prime Minister is making “the most fundamental and basis errors” at the start of his tenure.

I was a civil servant for 30 years. I was once sent a box of biscuits by an old lady. I had to tell my line manager and give them to her to determine if I could keep them. In the end they were returned to the lady. No grace, no favour.
At ground level, I worked for a large accounting company and at another time a solicitors...none of the solicitors or accountants were allowed to accept gifts from clients..not even a bottle of wine as it could be seen as bribe or encouraging favouritism.
