    Part 3 of a video series looking at the collection of basic training load data, how to calculate rolling loads, acute and chronic loads, monotony and strain etc. This video also demonstrates how you can plan future training using the data you have collected.
    Here are some approximate video timings:
    9:00 Rolling Load, Acute and Chronic Load Calculations
    21:00 Weekly Summary Statistics
    27:00 Monotony and Strain
    36:30 Planning the next week of training
    48:00 Individual Reports
    This video was made using Excel 2016 for PC and uses Tables, Pivot Tables, Dynamic Charts, Data Validation and multiple formula (AVERAGEIFS, SUMIFS, INDEX, MATCH, LARGE, AGGREGATE)

    Amazing tutorial sir. Could you please help me with the logic for the Strain value on the "Weekly Summary of Load" sheet. I'm a little confused.

    Some questions about the week StDev and average training load, it seems like you divided by the training sessions, but not the "7" days (like reference).
    It's this way more accurately to monitor the training load~?

      I also thought dividing by the number of daily loads was the correct way to determine average load. Would love to know how to make this change in the formula.

    man on 31:50 , except by one cell i got the number , by i dont get , what you do in "any cell who have some number" , then click F9 , see some numbers than Ctril-Z ? , and from nowhere you are on to first cell and hit Ctrl+Shift+Enter , and DONE ! like ????

      Apologies, its hard to get across all of the tricks in a big project like this. On a PC you can hit F9 to see how excel is evaluating part of a formula and use CRTL Z to go back to formula mode again

      @@JohnLythe of course sorry for bother you for old videos, i do this , but my number dont "work" like yours , i see the first (number) , but only one then FALSE FALSE etc.. i hit crtl+Z , then Ctrl=Shift +Enter , but NHA! rsrsrs

    Hey!
    Firstly, great guide and job!
    I have 1 question. How did u make athlete "Team"? Is it average of team or what kind of information?

    • @JohnLythe
      @JohnLythe 7 років тому

      No magic to the use of "Team". Either the coach or S&C enters a row of data as Team (using planned duration and RPE) or you calculate the Team values using averages. The problem with averages is that you will often have players who are on restricted training (so including them on the average will bring the score down).

      Thanks for that, just on calculating averages for the team - would you do it in the formula bar of this sheet? Im trying to select all my players based on a reference list of their names, but my total duration calculation seems to be a little off?

    Hi there, I am a tad lost and hoping someone can help. In the Weekly Summary of Load, for the strain column I cannot for the life of me work out the formula to use to calculate this. I think I must be missing a simple step. Can someone please help me? :)

    There is no calculation in the weekly sdev load with the formula that you gave. What is wrong i can not understand.. Only this formula does not work

    can someone help me please, I tried the rolling load formula for total distance and high speed distance but I keep getting zero as the answer. Please help!

  • @Calumc12
    @Calumc12 5 років тому

    I use this "to a T" and it's great. Any ideas how we can input an exponential weighted average for the A:C using the "sumifs" formula. I keep trying using the total distance metric, athlete and date as it great for organising the data i.e in the example shown in the video for the rolling averages. Help would be great, if you have an email it would be great to discuss @ExcelTricksForSport

      Dear,
      Could someone help me with this escel file? there is a fromula that I can not make it work.
      The result of this formula: "=DESVEST(SI(TBLData[Athlete]=$B$2,SI(TBLData[Week]=$A5,TBLData[Load])))" is #¡DIV/0!
      Please any suggestion?
