I have listened to this song and version at least a hundred times over the past two weeks. I know I have driven my family crazy. Lol. I know this because they leave the room when I turn it on. Not because they dislike the song, just because I drove them crazy with it.
Great song, great version, love it. And so does my family! EVERYONE have a WONDERFUL day! YOU are AWESOME!!!
Perfect song for George's silky, beautiful voice. Well done all hands.
One of my all-time favorite covers that George has done. Very faithful and earnest in mood
What a gift to be able to listen to this....Nilsson would be proud I'm sure.
I love how throughout the whole song, George sings in a relatively normal range and only pull out the super high and impressive note at the end. It wouldn't have the same impact if he had shown his full vocal ability from the start! An amazing performance and arrangement as usual
I mean... yeah, that's how the original song goes...
Um. Isn't that how... never mind.
The original song from the movie Midnight Cowboy, for me it defined my youth, brought back rekindled memorise, for me my quintessential movie song ever, this version was beautifully remade
This guy never disappoints. Always a good cover whenever I see George Krikes is in the video.
This is quite simply one of the most beautiful things I have heard in a long long time! I am so grateful for the work you guys do again!
Perfect for a slow start to a Friday morning.
Oof, I loved that gorgeous vocal harmony hitting in the chorus. So nicely done, thank you!
I want this played at my funeral. Excellent work!
I usually start my work day with this song... Settles the mind and I dominate the day.
I don't think I'd heard before the echoes of the folk classic "Big Rock Candy Mountain" in this song before. Nice cover.
Absolutely amazing! What a voice! Thank you, what a music to wake up to! 👍😊🎶
Beautiful vocal. School days memories. 🙏🏼💙
I'm such a fan of George Krikes! Loved this! Great job you guys 👏👏👏
I vote this to be the best Stories songs. Great!
I see Harry Nilsson and I click. Had to be good, and I was right. Lovely.
Another awesome performance, arrangement and a great mix!
outstanding arrangement and performance
Beautiful 👏👏👏👏
splendid arrangement and performance of this now standard song; especially liked the melody variations and the tight, organic 2-part vocal harmony on the B section
While listening to George's wonderful voice, i can't help but to heard a trace of Neil Diamond mix with Bob Dylan.
Beautifully simply version and perfect vocal - loved it!
♥️❣️♥️❣️♥️❣️♥️ - I just love your singing, George. I could listen to you all night. Thank you for sharing this song, I remember it well. It has always been a favourite of mine. I look forward to your next video.

Wonderful! Thank you George & Stories
Beautiful
Damn that is good!
SO smooth. Better than the original.
Great
Brilliant song brilliantly sung...
Awesome!
Masterful.
what a mix this is.
Great!
Superb! Cheers legends 🙌
I'd talk about how great the arrangement and the musicians are, but that seems to have been covered already. Instead, I'll say that that C12A sounds really suited to George's voice. Great mic choice.
So good!
finally... someone playing it with a more accurate tempo...nice
Beautiful version and George Krikes is the perfect voice for this folk song.
Still, I think that Stories series was more intimate and warm without the drums set (even being as subtle as this one was)... Maybe including a handful of percussion gadgets or a peruan shelf at the most.
Just an opinion.
Ryan you should really just start a band with these fellas (especially George). I’d listen to every song you put out I guarantee it.
You're looking at it.
@GeorgeKrikes always on top!!!
smooth velvet.
Thank you!
Bravi!!! From italy
Written by Fred Neil, covered by Harry Nilsson and countless others.
❤❤❤
Loved it…but I think a cajón and a shaker would have been a better choice than the drum set
Znakomicie. Gratuluję Panowie. Wszystkiego Dobrego. PL
"Everybody's Talkin'"
Everybody's talking at me
I don't hear a word they're saying
Only the echoes of my mind
People stopping, staring
I don’t see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes
I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Through the pouring rain
Going where the weather suits my clothes
Banking off of the northeast winds
Sailing on a summer breeze
I’m skipping over the ocean like a stone
Everybody’s talkin’ at me
I don’t hear a word they’re sayin’
Only the echoes of my mind
Oh - hmmm - hmmmm - . . .
I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Through the pouring rain
Going where the weather suits my clothes
I’m banking off of the northeast winds
Sailing on a summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone
I won't let you leave my love behind
No, I won't let you lea-ea-ea-ve
Ah-o-mmmmmm . . .

Lovely, really. I only find the drums too much in front in the mix, especially the snare. I have an idea how to solve that, but mixing drum sounds is not my expertise at all, so I'll leave it at the complaint this time.
Brushes!
@@georgevockroth8806 Yes! Yes!
yes, yes, exactly my opinion. Fantastic cover but drums didn't blend in with the feeling of the song and the rest of the arrangement.
Some songs must never be covered...this is one of them....
Thassalie
@@jo3y_c thassafact.....lol
@@dizzysdiamonds Song has more soul in the cover... Original is too fast.. Reminds me of "never gonna give you up" Scary Pockets has the best version over even the OG.
Fred Neil composed this song, not Harry Nilsson.
Yes, a bad snare sound will make me skip a video...
Yeah not the best drumming. It’s a compliment not a solo
Absolutely

The original song by Fred Neil.
Love this version, but feel the composer of this song and its original performance of it should not have been left out. Fred Neil
Well played, but poorly conceived. Adds nothing to the original other than making it go on longer.
