Pro-tip for making impromptu rally stages: get a large broomstick (industrial ones are ideal) and sweep up your "stage" with it. The idea is removing all the bigger pebbles that otherwise will lock your steering and/or hubs, and kill the mood as you saw here with both XVs. The fact the sweep´s width also creates a consistent track width (until you decide to make it wider -or tighter crooking it as you sweep-), is a nice bonus.
Ah ha Rex, a great rally session indeed. Oh, just to let you into a secret, in rally, a lot of steering is performed using the throttle, that’s normal 😊😊. Some great rally chassis 😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊😎
what a great location, i have somewhere similar, but unfortunately last time they topped up the gravel they increase the size, which is now causing the odd jam. Has your 01 pinion/spur cover developed a hole underneath to allow that gravel in? where the dog bone can come into contact with cover? Awesome content Rex, thank you for posting.
I havent noticed any wear on that spot yet but I will keep my eyes open. shame you dont have a dirt lot to play with, its getting harder to find them as everything in the world gets paved
The day you finally get an LC Racing PTG2(R) you´re going to regret you hadn't before. Just sayin'...!! PS: these are the kind of videos I enjoy watching on your channel the most. Don´t be shy to share impressions on the differences. That´s what I come here for, even though I own all three of these chassis and I already know my opinion!

Yes... I was thinking he needs a 4x4 Slash and pre run it. Watch your toes
This was fun to watch - 3rd car was my favorite!
Very nice little video. Rally running is always fun
What an inspirational channel. Thank you for the awesome video
Hey this was a great show off of these cars. Cool track idea also. Cheers!
Awesome runs with the cars, lots of fun to watch! Sucks the one was giving you fits but the other two were killing it!
Such a good roster of Hot hatches!!!
Looks awesome fun. The xv02 looks my favourite and seems to be quicker, better at getting the nose in… and looks more scale when it’s rallying

Boss can you feature the ptg-2 rally car and give us your breakdown? And how it compares to xv 01 and 02. Thanks
perhaps one day, for now the ptg-2 is not a common chassis, so getting parts wont be easy
If you had an XV-01 and the XV-02 and you were only allowed to drive one... which one would you choose? Assuming they had the same electronics.
XV-02
@@rexrcs Only asking because I'm trying to decide between them. Hoping Santa brings me one 😂
@@eekrc go for xv-02 over the xv-01 for sure
Bummer about the rc , hope's it's an easy fix

Would be nice to see a comparison with that! Looks to me thats a better choice than a Tamiya....
@@peteroosterhoff8850 I own all these chasis, and I agree. But I want Rex to try for himself
