MANNN HE WAS SOO AHEAD OF HIS TIME ONE OF MY TOP 5 ARTIST TIL THIS DAY STILL JAMMING GHETTO DREAMS
Already
He really was bron!! Coming up in Houston during this Era i truly miss.
Not one of them the hardest
The interview that Mike D did with Donnie Houston a while back really opened my eyes to what was really going on with Pat at that time. Mike D said that Pat’s name was in the same indictment with Corey Blount after hitting that lick in Beaumont and he would’ve been serving time with CB had he not been killed. That “Friends We Know” song, I believe, is a diss song to the dude that got Pat and Corey caught up in that situation. That’s why he said “Feds chasing/time wasting/all snitches erasing”. Most of that album he is alluding to him going to prison if you really put attention and know the backstory. In Missing Our G’s he said the penitentiary ain’t no place for us to go. In “Reality”, he said we trying to keep the family fed and they taking us to jail. I believe he was really going through it his last few months while trying to put out the album before he would’ve had to go in with Blount. Had all the talent but was just a Street dude who got caught up. Still one of the greatest ever out the South.
YupYupYup
Ngl the reality song he was really just pouring out words I feel like he was ahead of time as well as pimp c
Some of what you said is true. He was CB every day potna and he was definitely going to the feds we said this when CB got jammed September 1998. They had been watching him for 8yrs and built up the case. Niggaz got mad at Mike D for saying that idk why. It was a known fact. But Blount didn't snitch. Niggaz like Kay K and Duke and Knock did tho. That's why Blount don't fuck with em now. That crack cocaine era will never be repeated fortunately but CB was that nigga. That Lexus and his Surburban was legendary. I remember David Glenn told me how his potnas got his Suburban from a motel off 290. That hoe was so live with the show lights on blades and had bang
Funny how mike knows paperwork and he was doin the exact same shit get Blount got football numbers and all mike ever got was 3 yr vacation
Friends we know is a diss .. but it’s a keke diss
Listen real good especially to pat
Pat keke and screw fell out …. Keke got big headed once don’t mess with Texas hit
He had a interview where he was insinuating that if it wasn’t for pimpin pens screw would still be local .. n shot a slug at pat bout freestyling not payin bills now u gotta hit the slab to make ends meet
Keke idolized pat n Blount
To the point when keke got in position he let his nuts hang on em
Keke all of sudden callin himself as a slab king like he was known for cars
@@Wehaveshortshorts yea that song is about keke, pat ended up gettin on keke ass
People in this great state of Texas still talk about Pat like he never left us and this is coming from a Dallas resident! Long live the legacy of Fat Pat.
Yea I'm from Dallas as well..
I love fat pat muzik.
1990-2010 was a great time for Houston Hip-hop.
Man Pat still one of my favorite rappers, now you bout to make me go jam Ghetto Dreams. Pat was so ahead of his time, I've always said once I finish here, and I cross over. I pray the Most High let me see Pat perform and jam his music. His music was so timeless. We seriously got robbed of a great talent.
Oh mann, I'm glad I found your channel. I've been a fan of those Southern country rap tunes for over 20 years.. much luv from cold and dark Finland 🇫🇮 🇺🇸 RIP to Pat and all the fallen South legends..
💯💯💯
Man it's pretty cool knowing Pat and the other Southside legends music reached all the way to Finland. One of the few good things left about the internet.

I still remember seeing Pat in that legendary Lincoln Towncar with the red candy paint and elbows on Galveston Island back in 1994.
Fat Pat was so damn tough on the microphone. All them classic hooks we hear today is either Pat or Keke the man was awesome.

This is dope R.I.P Fat Pat🙏💯
Thank you for this video. I am from Toronto and there is limited info on this album and Fat Pat. I have always wanted to learn more about Pat, who died at my current age.
I think he is one of the greatest rappers ever and put him up there with Biggie and Pac.

Won a subscriber with this one. Thank you!
Still jammin Pat till this day thanks for the info R.I.P to all that put us on.
Man pat and Keke used to sound the same at times
I cried that night so hard the night he died. I didn’t want or believe it until I called Pokey and he was frantic and hung up in my face. So many tone but Jonathon and Patrick were good dudes we miss them so much. My favorite freestyle was the last one he did for his Birthday if you haven’t heard it check it out! “It’s all Good”
Reality definitely was my favourite track. I listen to fat pat from UK love his music.
RIP one of the greatest rappers to ever grab and wreck the mic mista Fat Pat🕊☮️
The mystic down South locally mainly YEA not as far as wrecking the mic though it was a lot that was way harder than come on now speak TRUTH

That there...man i know folk from his camp and can't/won't spill but it's on whoever was the closet to him that's still living to tell that. His son, baby momma, maybe H.A.W.K. or Zro or Mike D(on RealToon TV). Because as beloved as the S.U.C. was and is it was some violent and grimey motherfuckers on the front line in the Click. Most only know of the career and loveable sides.
You’re a rap historian, bro. Keep it Gee.
🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥🤯💯💯💯 thanks bro
Thank you! No doubt that if Pat had been around Texas would be running the game!
Frfr. If pat and Hawk were still here, Texas would be unstoppable
RIP Fat Pat... I worked at the Box back then as a Promotions Assistant "FreddyFred" JMac was about to have his Birthday Party At Jamaica Jamaica that February and we heard about Pat's passing and we turned that Birthday Party into a Fat Pat Tribute and all of the artists came up to the Station.. I was over the artist list who was performing that night... shiit I can't remember everything but everyone showed love to Pat

That was a crazy night.. We we're all on stage Rocking it

Last man standing
Dude ---- I am just now fucking putting this on. I am probably about to have my mind blown. I'm from Memphis and didn't get into the deep underground cuts of Houston hip hop until about 2009. I knew of the whole scene when they popped off in the early 2000's under Swisha House. Ghetto Dreams is one of my favorite albums of all time. I love Southside Playaz "Street Game", Big Pokey "Hardest Pit in the Litter", Big H.A.W.K "Under Hawks Wing", C-Note "Third Coast Born", ESG, "City Under Siege" Lil KeKe "It Was All a Dream", Thug Dirt "Dro", Mr 3-2 (Anything released), Wossness "Bangin Screw", and last but not least one of my favorites Godfather "Before It's Too Late". Big Pokey's new album "Sensei" is the first album CD I have bought in a decade and it hasn't left the cd player in my 'Rado since.
I had the ghetto dreams cassette tape absolutely a southern classic Rest in Power Fat Pat
