@spacepainter ........ I don't know what to say. These paintings are freaking kick ass, it's like.......... i've seen things like this made, but it took years to do. What I think makes you unique and amazing is that it looks like ur painting something crappy in the beginning(with just a bunch of colors) but it turns out like this.

@XthebigXcheeseX I used a palette knife to highlight the edges of the caves, try that.
@dew492 it had set up, but it wasn't dry to the touch yet.
@Masterpivot292 the paint is being added, its pouring out from inside that folder paper i'm holding.

@mascez87 Usually when I post a video of me making a painting here, the painting has usually already been sold, but I am always happy to recreate paintings for people.
@homies953 sometimes I do, but I don't like to have them on when I smear the water, and they get sticky quickly.

@laffadude vary the amount of pressure you are applying to the tip of the palette knife, and don't just scrape a solid line to highlight something. also pay attention to where the light source is coming from.keep practicing, I didn't use a palette knife for the first 2 years cause I thought is was too hard.wish I had.
I see a space hermit starting his own agriculture project out there.
For the planet, he lays the paper down on the wet paint, presses it down gently and peels it off. The page sticks to the top layer of paint and takes some off. You can also lay the page down and spin it in a circle, which will give the planet a swirly cloud wrack.
As for the terrain in the foreground, I'm kind of stumped there too. It looks like he just... smears it. When I try it, it doesn't turn out quite right, but I'm still learning.
@loser078 I can shape them the way I want, but the way they look cant always be controlled as well.

@8chris0young8 I would say,just practice, learning from your own trial and error is the only way to learn because you gain wisdom and knowledge along the way. not sure what trouble you are having to give you a tip.maybe lay the paint on thinner if your painting look messy and use the clear paint to rewet the paint when you need to.
honestly though, how do you make the rocky/mountain cave like terrain so authentic looking. i mean you instantly add the highlights with one swipe, no matter how many times i try, i cannot get it right. please elaborate on how you do this.
