its absolutely astounding what people can do with the most crude of materials. if i saw the finished product, i would never guess it was done with spray paint in 7 or 8 minutes. this is beautiful.
Love the both the red swirl planet and the purple one too but the light sources were all over the place and different from planet to planet. But still awesome idea/layout
Honestly, I can't see how anyong would dislike something as beautiful and surreal as this. I'd like to see some of you haters do something like this instead of sitting around and criticizing others.
Love it. I got to learn how to do this. It makes such beautiful art with spray paint. Got to learn different techniques too. Great job and you make it look so easy.
you can try to very carefully use magazine paper cut into circles with minimal amounts of painters tape to hold it in place. You'll have to touch up the spots where you put the tape but those can just be where you put your shadows and bright glaring stars.
all my paintings are made up and created as i go this is the exciting park of my paintings is that i have know real idea what the painting is going to look like till i'm finished and it does take some skills that take time to learn and to perfect.
He's using poster board most likely. But these can be done on wood, canvas, certain plastics, just about anything that isn't super porous. Cardboard works sometimes but not all.
You can! It's really not that hard. Granted it takes practice to get really really amazing results. But you can make some really mind blowing stuff on your very first try just watching a few tutorials. First thing I ever did was 3 pyramids, a planet and a star field. All super basic stuff that gives great results.
ima be honest here u should do this stuff on walls like ask a officer if u can paint like this on a wall so that its bigger and looks better or paint rooms for money but do it like this if i was u i would
@fxgarza22 For a good outcome you want to use a magazine page with a gloss finish on it. I personally use pages from a phone book (Cheaper than buying magazines) and it all works the same. The only problem is that I can't leave the page from the phone book down on the paint as long as I could with the magazine sheet. Just remember, when doing paintings like this, Gloss is your friend.
This is the second video that I've watched by you! I am so done! You're are so amazing. Ugh I wish I could be as amazing as you... ugh... I am now depressed..
I suppose it could be a number of reasons. It could be that the can needs to be shaken more. Some paints are thicker than others. The tip could be clogged or defective. Angle your painting at. Not pushing the nozzle down enough. Cheap paint (again some are better than others)? I'm just kind of guessing...I just recently started doing this...
That's amazingly beautiful! I'm just wondering... what are the circle shaped things you put on to shield from the upper layers of painting to create the planets? Are they some kind of specific tools or 'just' random circle shaped things you find fitting?
Go for it! It's really fun to do. Pick a day that's not real windy though...as that can just create a big headache. Check out Spraycasso on youtube as well, as he has a number of tutorial videos on how to get started and what all you'll need to do these. He also explains and shows step by step what to do, and various ways on how to do each step.
That was amazing how long did it take you to learn how to do that?Do you travel all over showing your work.Where you a art teacher at one time?Hope to see more in the future.
what kind of paper do you use? is it some kind of cardstock or is it canvas? if its cardstock what weight is it? or do you just use anything as long as it's thick and absorbent? or do I not want something absorbant?
would this technique work on stretched canvas? and are the spray paint cheap to buy coz you're use alot of paint...looks like all the cans are empty by the time you finish LOL...btw how many paintings do u do per can? thx
wouldnt the light source that causes the purple planet to shine also cause the other plantets to not be dark or also cause them to shine in a way that light all comes from the same direction?
Dont get the posterboard packs from Office Depot...I just got some and because it is wrapped in plastic you cant really check it out before buying...well it doesnt have a glossy side which means the paper just wicks up your paint and makes it dry WAY too fast...Walmart posterboard only for me from now on....lesson learned
I also had a question. I asked someone else on another channel, but I'm looking to start as soon as possible, and I'd like to find out from someone that seems like they have more experience. What paper did you use, exactly? Does it make the spray paint take a longer time to dry or what? Perhaps I'm not using the right spray paint either, because mine dries fast. Either that or I just don't have the right paper.
its absolutely astounding what people can do with the most crude of materials.
if i saw the finished product, i would never guess it was done with spray paint in 7 or 8 minutes.
this is beautiful.
these are endlessly fascinating to watch
Love the both the red swirl planet and the purple one too but the light sources were all over the place and different from planet to planet. But still awesome idea/layout

all my paintings are made up and created as i go this is the exciting park of my paintings is that i have know real idea what the painting is going to look like till i'm finished and it does take some skills that take time to learn and to perfect.
@fxgarza22 you can use newspaper too. Its just a texture effect so any sort of paper will work fine.
Awesome vid dude... I am Spaced out !
wow!

What type of surface do you use?

awsome talents there!, wonder if spray would win the talent show.. like american talent or something what it name is...
cool!!!! :)
That's amazingly beautiful! I'm just wondering... what are the circle shaped things you put on to shield from the upper layers of painting to create the planets? Are they some kind of specific tools or 'just' random circle shaped things you find fitting?
i dnt find any paintings using this technique is better than one and another because these type of paintings are unique on its own
YET ANOTHER AMAZING PIECE! What colors did you use on this one? it's a tad bit difficult to tell. I do love your work!
Toooop
if im trying to do a painting similar to this on a hockey helmet, what can I use as a planet stensel to bend a little to the helmet?

this is really good:D what kind of paper do you use??
It took me ages to find this video again yay
@hellomynameisZITRO no you can only do this on posterboard on the glossy side idk why that is just what i heard
applause :)
make some more vids i really like this keep doing this
clear paint.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I discovered a new hobby for the summer. :)
That looks amazing mate it's cool how you acheive something like that in a matter of minutes. Can I ask what sort of paper you're using? :D
your finger is probably leaning over the hole for the paint to come out. It happened to me too when i first started. :)
clear paint to seal and give it a high gloss look.
beauthifull
what brand of spray paint is best...i have used several cheap types and man they just bleed....anyone?
would it be weird to say that watching these videos puts me in a state of peace and relation?
why did you show the final product first??? seeing that at the end is half the fun
is the highlight a white or a powder blue?
They are lids to pots and pans... and small round objects.
what kind of caps you use?
fat caps oder skinny?
what exact colors did you use for the planet
Arte vivita
what kind of paper do you use? is it some kind of cardstock or is it canvas? if its cardstock what weight is it? or do you just use anything as long as it's thick and absorbent? or do I not want something absorbant?
Omg :D
so does the lids help?
what are the things he puts on top to make the planets shape?
would this technique work on stretched canvas? and are the spray paint cheap to buy coz you're use alot of paint...looks like all the cans are empty by the time you finish LOL...btw how many paintings do u do per can? thx
sweet table
Great art wish i could make something that good. Also does anyone out there know what music is playing?
thanks, are they sold at walmarts is krylon any good ?
I use Krylon but you can use any kind of spray paint.
wouldnt the light source that causes the purple planet to shine also cause the other plantets to not be dark or also cause them to shine in a way that light all comes from the same direction?
It's art. Art of the Galaxy. Science doesn't apply to it, but that is a good question to ask.
Dont get the posterboard packs from Office Depot...I just got some and because it is wrapped in plastic you cant really check it out before buying...well it doesnt have a glossy side which means the paper just wicks up your paint and makes it dry WAY too fast...Walmart posterboard only for me from now on....lesson learned
what do you use at the very end? to finalize it?
they are not stencils they are stove burner metal covers with duct tape handles.
you can use jar lids anything round.
That moment when he revealed the main planet....*gasp!*
