UnkeptMoss328 To me, FF4 was always leagues better than 6. I've never understood the rabid love for 6. It suffers from such bad character bloat that none of the characters are very developed, nor do they ever seem to grow or get enough facetime. Some literally have zero backstory and do so little they go out of the story the same they came in. The villain is terrible (yeah yeah, it's the Joker as a gayboi, we get it) and the plot writing is non-existent. (I mean the plot is literally "just because.") Top it all off with ugly, dirty graphics and "Mode 7" which makes the world map look awful and out of place. Yay.
For a list like this, you cant blame WM for not selecting your favorite RPG on the SNES, there are too many to count. I wish Final Fantasy 4 had been on the list but oh well. Is there any doubt Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger would be 2 and 1? They were the powerhouse RPGs of the era. As much as 4 is my favorite, 6 pushed everything to a new level: a fantastic musical score, beautiful artwork, simple and fun gameplay, it had everything. Theres a reason why Chrono Trigger had the dream team from Square for its development. Chrono Trigger remains my favorite game of all time to this day. The music, the characters, the gameplay, the story, it always gets to me. Of course both FF6 and CT have to held up. Well guess what? Its 20 years later and people STILL play them to this day. So all of you who are complaining "what about this game?", keep in mind that there are too many SNES RPGs to count. Not happy about it, go make your own list.
Yes, Yes and YES! Nice job Watchmojo, this list is nearly identical to my personal ranking. Grew up playing these games and continue to play through them regularly. The classics never get old.
Secret of Mana and Illusion of Gaia (or Illusion of Time as I knew it) were huge parts of my childhood. Hearing the little moments of music in this video nearly brought tears to my eyes.

Ok guys, you're missing two really awesome SNES RPGs (which sadly never came outside Japan IIRC on SNES): Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocean, two games which actually featured voice acting and were really huge games, as well as looking absolutely gorgeous for SNES games. Both of these games rivals both Chrono Trigger and FF6. Star Ocean: It had multiple characters and was far from linear, as you could gather your party in several ways, and even skip some characters. It also featured a relationship system, where you could get different endings, items etc based on the relationsship of your characters. And it also featured a HUGE skillsystem with item crafting etc. The battle system was also in real time, allowing for fastpaced battles. Tales of Phantasia: The first game in one of my favourite game franchises. Huge game, compelling story, awesome battle system and tons of secrets. Also, missing a mention of Seken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2). IMO, it was better than SD2, given that you could choose which characters you wanted to play with (and being generally more).
They sorta should've done the game per franchise rule here because Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma is in fact part of the same series. Jaymonius Technically they weren't part of the same series. They were 3 games that Quintet made in a small time frame that had similar themes. It's a fan theory that Soul Blazer comes first with illusion of Gaia in them middle and Terranigma ending it. While the theory does hold stock and could make sense if you stretch some things, it is just that. A Theory.
Jaymonius I love FF4 too, it's my second favorite FF game, but if they were going for the one game per franchise thing, then it'd make sense not to have it on the list because FF6 is definitely better than FF4.

BaoZakeruga Yep! Chrono Trigger and FF6 are two of the best games ever made!! I remember playing those games all the time on my SNES in 2009, I still have the games too. Though, I think playing the games in the 90’s would’ve been a way better experience. Sadly, I wasn’t born then XD
I'm so glad to see that this video shows up first (other than the ads) when searching up "Top 10 RPGs" on UA-cam, without putting "SNES" in the search bar with it. That way more people can discover these timeless and magical relics, from the true golden era of role playing games (PS1 era comes extremely close, as the silver age)!! Even though I wasn't alive during the time when these listed games came out, they changed my live forever since my discovery of them via emulators in 2011!! I think the reason that _Final Fantasy IV_ was excluded was because, like in their other videos, _WatchMojo_ often accepts one entry from each series compiled (with the exception of countdown lists like "Top 10 ______ Games/Movies"). However it's still a list I highly approve of, even if it doesn't list games that never originally left Japan; now _that_ would be a little more laborious as there are too many great entries!! :)
I would've put Ogre Battle in the top 10. Definitely one of my favorites. The top 2 can be interchangeable depending on mood, so they were rightfully the top 2.
Sure about that? How about Emerald Dragon, Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together, Live a Live, Treasure of the Rudras and many others that have just recently been translated ;D ?
Secret of Evermore is one of my most favourite SNES games of all times. I still have my old console at my parent's place. A couple of years ago my ex-girlfriend got me SoE for my birthday as a surprise after I told her how much I loved it when I was young. She is a great girl.
While many people at that time were too busy arguing about Mario vs Sonic, which console has the best arcade ports or which console has better graphics, I was too busy playing all these wonderful RPGs in my snes. I adore the console and the JRPG genre. SNES is my all-time favorite console and has been a huge part of my childhood.
thefun frame Terranigma is my #3. I live in the US but I somehow bought a english remake of a terranigma cartridge for my SNES. It’s one of the best games of all time
I'm not sure which I like less about this list: Lufia 2 only being #9, or Breath of Fire 2 being above it. That said, I'll give you credit for Ogre Battle being mentioned, and for getting the Top 3 games right (though I'd put FF6 above Chrono Trigger)
My Top 10 10- Terranigma 9- Illusion of Gaia 8- Lufia 2 7- Final Fantasy II 6- Breath of Fire 2 5- Super Mario RPG 4- Earthbound 3- Secret of Mana 2- Final Fantasy III 1- Chrono Trigger you forgot Final fantasy II
No, the Snes title is 3, not 6. It's 6 in the series chronology but since the Snes release was III, it's better to refer to it as such. They screwed it up from the start but you just gotta roll with it.
8:24 1. Chrono Trigger 7:12 2. Final Fantasy II 6:14 3. Super Mario RPG 5:19 4. Earthbound 4:29 5. Secret of Mana 3:41 6. Illusionof Gaia 2:55 7. Secret of Evermore 2:14 8. Breath of Fire 1:28 9. Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals 0:38 10. Terranigma 8:10 Honorable Mentions Ogre Battle: Black Queen Soul Blazer
All the games that made me who I am today. I will never forget my awesome childhood. I normally come back to playing some of those games once every few years! For sure Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI will never be forgotten in my book.
Well played Watchmojo. At first I couldn't think what would be #1 beating out Secret of Mana and FF III but I completely forgot about Chrono Trigger. Good list.
Captain Karnage It might be the same hardware but no the same name. Get it right. The series came out on the Super Famicom NOT the Super Nintendo. Can I play those games on my Super Nintendo? No, I didn't think so. You mush us a converter or a rom.
My mom was a big RPG fan when I was growing up, it was all she ever played on the SNES or PS1. Even had RPG Maker the game lol Earthbound will always be number one in my books :D
If Secret of Mana, and even Terranigma was listed, where is Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka Secret of Mana 2)? Although it doesn't have as much alt endings like Chrono Trigger, this Super-Famicom-only RPG with no western port still was known as one of the best RPGs towards the end of SuperFamicom/SNES life cycle.
Kean Leng Chew One game per franchise, I liked Secret of Mana 2, but the original is better and has a way better sound track. SoM2 soundtrack is good, but the original is pretty much perfection.
Kean Leng Chew Because Seiken Densetsu 3 is NOT on the SNES. It's only on the Super Famicom. Yes same hardware but you can play the game on the SNES. So not on the list.
mudbutt donkey kong isnt a rpg, it falls in the same catagory as zelda so u cant really compare it to chrono trigger, when ppl say best game ever, usually they mostly mean best in it's catagory cuz u cant really compare games to other types since obviously action packed shooters, etc etc will appeal to ppl more then rpgs in certain cases.
I have beaten all the game on the list. Man it takes me back I was in 7th grade, and back then there’s no internet I can use for guides so it took me awhile to beat some of these games.
so glad that this list was done as it reminds me which snes rpg games i still need to get some time to finish off my own list i have half of what is on here and if it were not for Secret Of Mana i probably would never have got into the rpg genre to begin with.
It should be mentioned, that Secret of Mana could be played with 3 people if you had the SNES multitab. That blew my mind back then (even though i rarely ever could make us of the feature)
Now I'm quite sure no one in the Mojo team has ever played Terranigma for more than an hour or two. They always rank it generally low on lists, and especially lower than its predecessor Illusion of Gaia, even though the latter is objectively inferior. Plus, the footage they show of Terranigma is only from the first 1-2 hours of the game.
Faygris Sadly i think popularity plays a bigger role in these list's then objective quality. I think WatchMojo try's to represent the pop culture impact rather then what is objectively the best.
Faygris I'm glad it was at least on the list. I ask people about the game and they say they've heard of it and never played it. I think it totally should have been a few spaces above.
In case you were wondering how the Mojoholics voted in our poll, see the votes and entries here: www.watchmojo.com/suggest/Top+10+Super+Nintendo+RPGs Note, of course, that viewer votes are just one of the hundreds of data points and variables that we consider and look at when we create our lists. I just want to say thank you for making that distinction for people. Zelda is an Action Adventure game (so is the Illusion of Gaia IMHO), the main difference is the experience system and to a small extent inventory that differentiates the genres. RPG features usually are leveling and growth of character through experience and stats. Illusion of Gaia doesn't really have a leveling system, but the way you free things in each level may count as character growth/stat growth.. but I've always considered it an action adventure. While on the other hand Zelda 2 would easily fit into the action RPG genre.
toaker well they had 6 on the list and they usually dont have multiples of the same series. which goes for SD3 since they had Secret of Mana. Though most people forget Dragon Quest exists, but DQ3 was on NES, not SNES
Ah, the good ol' FF6 / Chrono Trigger match up. Saw that one coming, but I reeeally had to hand it to Lufia 2. It was probably the ONLY SNES game that made me really feel for the characters. Kinda dissapointed that Lufia 2 wasn't higher, but oh well.Terranigma was a gem to discover too.
It was nice to see Secret of Evermore on this list. It was my favorite game to play when I was a kid. If you enjoy Secret of Mana, you'll really enjoy that game too.
It's worth noting that if you use a multitap you can play Secret of Mana with THREE players. This was a huge deal back then, and is still a blast if you can find a good multitap.
BHLani This is probably my favorite WatchMojo video so far. My top three games were in the top four, and of all of the games on the list, including the honorable mentions, there were only two I haven't played.
Colette Brunel Lol i've used a bunch of emulators and ROMs before, including ones for Snes, N64, Sega Dreamcast, PSP, and even the Wii. Safe emulators aren't hard to find at all, you just gotta know where to look and know how to tell the legit ones from possibly infected ones.
Definitely should have included Tales of Phantasia. Sure it was Japan only for SNES, but it had a recent US Gameboy release, so I'd think that would be enough to qualify it.
I love Ogre Battle, glad it got an honourable mention. Yeah, I agree with the top two, although for me they're a tie. They're two games with very different feels to them, both of them amazing. Both are worthy of modern remakes, and I hope that after the FF7 remake comes out (and hopefully is a massive success), developers will turn to these top two, next.
Arcana is one of my favorite SNES RPGs and so few people even know this game exists. It has some of the best music on SNES, and it had a character named Tifa (Or actually Teefa) long before final fantasy 7 existed.
leqesai Yeah, they mention that each character has an extra skill to use outside of battles, then don't even mention the Shaman fusion system!! Ahh, good times
Siegfried Z TBH both were fantastic. I don't know if I'd say BOF1 was better because the story in 2 was so much more philosophical and had a better opening+final act. But I'm more biased towards the second game because I never got to play BOF1 until years after I had played the second one.
I think FF2 (4) is very underrated, the characters where well balanced, turning a dark night into a paladin was epic and it had a freaking awesome storyline... it was one of the first on SNES!
Of course, Chrono Trigger, FFVI, and Super Mario RPG are definitely on the list because they deserve it.
Chrono Trigger is one of the greatest rpgs to date, extremely replayable

Bahmut Logoon ?
Secret of Mana 2 ?
but if Chrono trigger took #1 it's okay 😊
Yes, and Where´s Tales of Phantasias? and Seiken Densetsu 3 were great games, chronos is the best ever.
Enmanuel Capellan
I love ToP on other versions better than SNES but still great games #Memories ^^
SD3 Didn't have any proper English Release
Faltiere Ornalock I played it in English you will find sword of mana 2 English SNES rom
Mido Memo were talking about an official english release not rom translation
I would've put Ogre Battle in the top 10. Definitely one of my favorites. The top 2 can be interchangeable depending on mood, so they were rightfully the top 2.
Back when square knew what the heck it was doing when it came to making an RPG
PERFECT LIST!!! Saw the title... said my top 10 in my head and 8-1 were dead on :) LOVE YOU WATCH MOJO!!
CHRONO TRIGGER IS THE BEST RPG EVER
TERRANIGMA TOO
ZELDA :))
SECRET OF MANA :>
LUFIA :)
.
The best video of Watchmojo! I love Terranigma, EarthBound, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past and Chrono Trigger. Incredible games!
That sad moment when you already played/finished all best RPG titles on snes and don't knows any actual 2d rpg game to play :(
Suikoden 2, not on snes but still one of the best
Don't worry buddy, I will make one for you ^.^
you can play gba rpg game it's will be nice
Sure about that? How about Emerald Dragon, Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together, Live a Live, Treasure of the Rudras and many others that have just recently been translated ;D ?
some good 2d games on the Vita, Switch, and 3DS.
Secret of Evermore is one of my most favourite SNES games of all times. I still have my old console at my parent's place. A couple of years ago my ex-girlfriend got me SoE for my birthday as a surprise after I told her how much I loved it when I was young. She is a great girl.
No "Tales Of Phantasia"?!
It wasn't officially released in English on the SNES, so no.
@@asmodeus58XX True but still a great gmae
@@asmodeus58XX Then why the heck is Front Mission Gun Hazard on the list?
While many people at that time were too busy arguing about Mario vs Sonic, which console has the best arcade ports or which console has better graphics, I was too busy playing all these wonderful RPGs in my snes. I adore the console and the JRPG genre. SNES is my all-time favorite console and has been a huge part of my childhood.
No mention to Seiken Densetsu 3, Tales of Phantasia, Front Mission... Final Fantasy IV???
By the way - Secret of Mana can be played with a collected total of 3 players, it requires the multi-tap. get your facts right @WatchMojo
come on! terranigma should be the first!, sorry for the US that never saw a release, but truth is truth.
thefun frame Terranigma is my #3. I live in the US but I somehow bought a english remake of a terranigma cartridge for my SNES. It’s one of the best games of all time
Terranigma sucks ass in gameplay
Dear Mojo: Please do more Genre Specific as well as Console Specific Top Tens! Because I love em'!
I approve of the number 1 spot! Chrono trigger is the best! :)
I'm not sure which I like less about this list: Lufia 2 only being #9, or Breath of Fire 2 being above it. That said, I'll give you credit for Ogre Battle being mentioned, and for getting the Top 3 games right (though I'd put FF6 above Chrono Trigger)
Uhh... Earthbound requires more grinding than anything else on this list? I don't think... that's true...
Terranigma for number 2 behind Chrono Trigger. Terranigma is a nearly perfect RPG with an amazing soundtrack and a beautiful story. More love needed!
My Top 10
10- Terranigma
9- Illusion of Gaia
8- Lufia 2
7- Final Fantasy II
6- Breath of Fire 2
5- Super Mario RPG
4- Earthbound
3- Secret of Mana
2- Final Fantasy III
1- Chrono Trigger
you forgot Final fantasy II
its ff6 not 3
No, the Snes title is 3, not 6. It's 6 in the series chronology but since the Snes release was III, it's better to refer to it as such. They screwed it up from the start but you just gotta roll with it.
I would put Terranigma higher on the list like 5th or 6th.
Terranigma over Illusion of Gaia? Why?
Leandro Goncalves I think they left out Final Fantasy II (IV) because watchmojo usually lists one per franchise.
8:24 1. Chrono Trigger
7:12 2. Final Fantasy II
6:14 3. Super Mario RPG
5:19 4. Earthbound
4:29 5. Secret of Mana
3:41 6. Illusionof Gaia
2:55 7. Secret of Evermore
2:14 8. Breath of Fire
1:28 9. Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals
0:38 10. Terranigma
8:10 Honorable Mentions
Ogre Battle: Black Queen
Soul Blazer
1 and 2 need to be flip-flopped, but other than that, pretty good list.
All the games that made me who I am today. I will never forget my awesome childhood. I normally come back to playing some of those games once every few years!
For sure Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI will never be forgotten in my book.
Why is illusion of Gaia better than terranigma? It's not
I agree. Terranigma is *awesome*
Rooty Kazooty No, terranigma is not awesome. It’s *perfect.*
should have been Secret of Mana, Terranigma, and Chrono trigger in first
It is so I love illusion of Gaia
Illusion of gaia is 100 times better than terranigma, except for the music. Ugh, terranigma gameplay sucks so bad.
I love chrono trigger! By far my favorite rpg! Along with the final fantasy series!
Terranigma just on 10?And Secret of Evermore just on 7?? Ok I'm out ;)
Terranigma is my #1
Rooty Kazooty Terranigma is my #3. I love that game so fucking much, I wish it made it to the West
Secret of evermore was GREAT
Well played Watchmojo. At first I couldn't think what would be #1 beating out Secret of Mana and FF III but I completely forgot about Chrono Trigger. Good list.
I would have put any of the snes era Fire Emblem games.
Captain Karnage Genealogy pls
Captain Karnage Never came out in the west and not on the SNES.
shinmusashi44 it did come out on the snes, it's the exact same hardware as the super famicom.
Captain Karnage It might be the same hardware but no the same name. Get it right. The series came out on the Super Famicom NOT the Super Nintendo. Can I play those games on my Super Nintendo? No, I didn't think so. You mush us a converter or a rom.
shinmusashi44 you can play super famicom games on your snes, the only thing that's stopping you are those 2 plastic tabs in the cartridge slot.
My mom was a big RPG fan when I was growing up, it was all she ever played on the SNES or PS1. Even had RPG Maker the game lol
Earthbound will always be number one in my books :D
If Secret of Mana, and even Terranigma was listed, where is Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka Secret of Mana 2)? Although it doesn't have as much alt endings like Chrono Trigger, this Super-Famicom-only RPG with no western port still was known as one of the best RPGs towards the end of SuperFamicom/SNES life cycle.
Kean Leng Chew One game per franchise, I liked Secret of Mana 2, but the original is better and has a way better sound track. SoM2 soundtrack is good, but the original is pretty much perfection.
Kean Leng Chew i want understant that logic too
andre cabral i have my theory, they never play the games. they only read in somewhere and transform in video
andre cabral danm who in the world put in an list of best final fantasy the XIII
Kean Leng Chew Because Seiken Densetsu 3 is NOT on the SNES. It's only on the Super Famicom. Yes same hardware but you can play the game on the SNES. So not on the list.
So much nostalgia! And some gems I haven't played yet! 😱
Well, duh, Chrono Trigger is the best game ever.
So agree
Agreed
I disagree. It's a very good game, however I think that Donkey Kong is the best game ever.
mudbutt donkey kong isnt a rpg, it falls in the same catagory as zelda so u cant really compare it to chrono trigger, when ppl say best game ever, usually they mostly mean best in it's catagory cuz u cant really compare games to other types since obviously action packed shooters, etc etc will appeal to ppl more then rpgs in certain cases.
mudbutt sick reference dude
I have beaten all the game on the list. Man it takes me back I was in 7th grade, and back then there’s no internet I can use for guides so it took me awhile to beat some of these games.
SNes ! the best !
so glad that this list was done as it reminds me which snes rpg games i still need to get some time to finish off my own list i have half of what is on here and if it were not for Secret Of Mana i probably would never have got into the rpg genre to begin with.
Fun fact: Secret Of Evermore was the only Squaresoft game to be produced by North American developers
Cool
Faygris well this list is one masterpiece affter another, it's not as important how they are ranked as which are ranked
bigbardos
Yeah, you're right. I'm glad it's even in the list. But still it bugs me that they put Illusion of Gaia above Terranigma all the time. :D
Faygris Absolutely agree. It's definitely better than its 'prequels' Gaia and Soul Blazer.
With these last four I feel like a parent trying to pick their favorite child.

Could guys do top 10 RPGs on other consoles, including handhelds
WatchMojo.com Why is Pokemon on that list? There weren't any SNES Pokemon RPGs.
Top 10 guns in Battlefield or Call of Duty
I knew Chrono Trigger is number 1
WatchMojo.com Playstation RPGs please!
Seiken Densetsu 3>Secret of Mana.
YEAH I SAID IT
Absolutely true. One of the very best, and rivals Chrono Trigger. The music, graphics and storyline were all ahead of their time.
+DanteWolfwood Its a shame it was never released outside of Japan, it could easily have been top 3
Released as a rom with english translation
It's out now!
No Final Fantasy IV and V, Dragon Quest III, V and VI, or Seiken Densetsu 3 smh
toaker well they had 6 on the list and they usually dont have multiples of the same series. which goes for SD3 since they had Secret of Mana. Though most people forget Dragon Quest exists, but DQ3 was on NES, not SNES
toaker DQ 3 was just a remake, I don't think it would have been included.
Umino Jyaku
yeah the original 4 DQ games were on the NES, Would make sense to not include it on the SNES list, even if they remade 3 for the SNES.
Where is FF IV
Shiirow then that would mean that either Terranigma or Illusion of Gaia, as they are part of the Quintet trilogy
Ogre Battle is way underrated
Ah, the good ol' FF6 / Chrono Trigger match up. Saw that one coming, but I reeeally had to hand it to Lufia 2. It was probably the ONLY SNES game that made me really feel for the characters. Kinda dissapointed that Lufia 2 wasn't higher, but oh well.Terranigma was a gem to discover too.
Wow, no Dragon Quest? :O
Which dragon quest?
My guess is:
3. Earthbound
2. FF VI
1. Chrono Trigger
And I mean, they deserve it! :D
lufia its in this top, GREAT JOB!!!, THANK YOU becuse lufia its one the lost jewels of rpgs of all times!
i still love the sound a vanquished enemy makes in lufia 1!
It was nice to see Secret of Evermore on this list. It was my favorite game to play when I was a kid. If you enjoy Secret of Mana, you'll really enjoy that game too.
EarthBound!!!!!
It's worth noting that if you use a multitap you can play Secret of Mana with THREE players. This was a huge deal back then, and is still a blast if you can find a good multitap.
This video is my childhood.
BHLani This is probably my favorite WatchMojo video so far. My top three games were in the top four, and of all of the games on the list, including the honorable mentions, there were only two I haven't played.
BHLani Which ones
BHLani Have you
BHLani Not pleyed.
***** Terranigma and Secret of Evermore.
FF6 and Chrono Trigger have always been my two favorite jrpgs.
Still they never include shadow run
Ogre Battle got honorable mention, played that game over and over back in the day. Ah memories, nice list agreed with 1 and 2.
every time i see these Snes RPG lists, i get sad because I never finished Earthbound and Chrono Trigger :( time to download that emulator..
StunnAH K.I.N.G. Wouldn't advise that, a lot of emulators are plagued with viruses, buying a SNES and the games would be better.
Colette Brunel For a lot of games its not an option anymore. Except you buy reproductions, which are basically roms on cartridges.
Colette Brunel
Lol i've used a bunch of emulators and ROMs before, including ones for Snes, N64, Sega Dreamcast, PSP, and even the Wii. Safe emulators aren't hard to find at all, you just gotta know where to look and know how to tell the legit ones from possibly infected ones.
StunnAH K.I.N.G. Or why not buy Earthbound on the Wii U virtual console?
Raúl Guzmán
Why would you assume that I own a Wii U... lol nothing wrong with an emulator for retro games..
Definitely should have included Tales of Phantasia. Sure it was Japan only for SNES, but it had a recent US Gameboy release, so I'd think that would be enough to qualify it.
Watchmojo will probably find a way to make Ocarina of Time number 1
Zelda is not an RPG.
@@zombiemachinery4868 *Whooosh*
That was the sound of a joke going right over your head
I love Ogre Battle, glad it got an honourable mention. Yeah, I agree with the top two, although for me they're a tie. They're two games with very different feels to them, both of them amazing. Both are worthy of modern remakes, and I hope that after the FF7 remake comes out (and hopefully is a massive success), developers will turn to these top two, next.
Special Thanks to our user Peter Sotiriou for suggesting this topic on our Suggest Tool at www.WatchMojo.com/suggest
WatchMojo.com i
Arcana is one of my favorite SNES RPGs and so few people even know this game exists. It has some of the best music on SNES, and it had a character named Tifa (Or actually Teefa) long before final fantasy 7 existed.
lmfao "top 10 SNES rpgs" "Breath of Fire 2"... proceeds to use footage from GBA version. Way to do your homework Watchmojo :P
leqesai Yeah, they mention that each character has an extra skill to use outside of battles, then don't even mention the Shaman fusion system!!
Ahh, good times
leqesai Also BoF1 was really superior.
Siegfried Z
TBH both were fantastic. I don't know if I'd say BOF1 was better because the story in 2 was so much more philosophical and had a better opening+final act. But I'm more biased towards the second game because I never got to play BOF1 until years after I had played the second one.
Yeh thought so .. it definitely wasn't the snes version.
I think FF2 (4) is very underrated, the characters where well balanced, turning a dark night into a paladin was epic and it had a freaking awesome storyline... it was one of the first on SNES!
where is tales of phantasia is awesome rpg
Their Number 10 and 9 were my absolut favorite games on the snes. every few years i replay them onn the Computer with Emulators :)
