The ones i play the most is super mario world and donkey Kong country because they were different platfomers that had big impact on the genre for their time.
I remember when I was like 5 or 6, my parents called me into the kitchen and asked if I would prefer a Super Nintendo or Genesis. I quickly responded Super Nintendo and we went and got it that afternoon. I'm 36 on Saturday and will never forget or regret my decision. Turtles in Time was my jam!
Turtles in Time was great! SNES was my first system when I was five, but I remember also really wanting a Sega Genesis because I loved playing Sonic at my friends’ house. Still happy to have had the Nintendo though! The only Sega system I owned was the Dreamcast which was an awesome system ahead of its time. Unfortunately for Sega most people wanted to wait for the PS2 and their awful controller! I’d still take a Dreamcast over a PS any day!

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest has always been my favorite SNES since I first played it in 1995. It’s a masterpiece and not just the best SNES game, but one of the greatest video games of all time :)
Easily the best Zelda game and onethat will still replay to this day. That it wouldn't even Crack my personal top 5 for the system is a testament to how good this system is
The SNES is the best console we ever had, so many 10/10 games. Mine is Super Metroid, what an experience it was and still is to this day. Can not wait to play MP4.
Yeah man i remember when it hit in December 95 i was just 10 but i knew it was something special and i look at it as a work of art today...even then i used to get chills listening to David Wise Masterpiece of a soundtrack and it's only gotten better as I've gotten older but then like u said the graphics are amazing, the world's and stages and secrets really give u your money's worth i mean i love the Genesis Sonics but not one of em came close to the length of any of the dkc games and they cost the same..then u got the lost world...for me the difficulty was a little hard back then(and even now) but the dkc games are some of the few where i usually enjoy or don't mind dying...sorry to yap but yea man it's one of the greatest games of all time
Kirby Super Star also has a whooping soundtrack which often goes unnoticed! However, one of the best things related to DKC2 is a Stickerbrush Symphony video (the one with a static thorn wall background) which became a checkpoint for people willing to share their life experiences so far in life.

have you played a randomizer of a link to the past yet? i got addicted 3-4 years ago and now i am way better at alttp my younger self would be amazed at all the things i can do in that game
For anyone interested in this, I can recommend the channel SNES drunk. He covers basically everything around the SNES, even the most obscure titles from Japan that never got a translation.
The 16 bit era was the golden era of video gaming. The tech was polished enough that games could look and sound amazing (My music library is probably 90% 8 bit and 16 bit game OSTs). If you bought a game, that was it, you owned the entire game, no logins, no connection errors, no updates, no DLC, no ads (usually), no Pay to Play, no Pay to Win, no B.S. So many games were clearly made with love and game developers were willing to push the tech right up to it limits. Top 20 games? I could probably name 100 off the top of my head that were awesome lol. This isn't to bash on new games though, there are definitely modern games that are just as good (many that even emulate games from that era which really says something) you just have to filter through a lot more crap to get to them.
A bit surprised to not see it on here, but Contra 3 the Alien Wars is one of my favorite super Nintendo games, and is arguably the best game in the series (I prefer Hard Corps on the genesis). The SNES was that good of a system. You could make a top 40 easily
Same, I was expecting Contra 3. It's by far my favorite in the series. Everyone always raves about Hard Corps, saying it's the best. I've always preferred 3. I thought it neatly wrapped up the series, and had one hell of a finale. Never cared too much about any of the later games in the franchise. They don't seem to have the same magic the third one possessed.
I would replace Mega Man x with Contra 3 definitely. While not a bad game I always thought that MMX was too reminiscent of the NES games and unchallenging to be on this list
I was thinking the very same thing. And to be honest, Contra 3 is one of my top five favorite SNES games of all times. Kinda disappointed that the game did not make this countdown
Someone was asking me my opinion for some of the best video games soundtracks of all time and they were shocked when I mentioned the Donkey Kong country series. I was like bro have you ever played these games? These tunes get stuck in your head for days
@Matt Mormann I feel like the first one doesn't get as much love either. It was a tightly designed, solid platformer. I do agree that 2 is the best, but all 3 of them are good. 3 is my least favorite, but I go back to it from time to time. It's got some neat levels like the lightning one, factory stages and the hollowed out tree with the giant saw. My only issue, besides Kiddy, was that some of the animal buddies were quite underwhelming. The elephant just felt tedious to use. That level with the mice everywhere kind of sucked. Overall, great series, and you can't go wrong with any of them.
@@josephoverstreet5584 There both the same game, they just have some different sound effects. Since they don't make SNES anymore it's best to try and look for GBA. It's small and easy to carry around with you.
It wasn't better than Genesis so, if it's not even better than the same console of its era, how can it be a great console? Genesis was so much more superior... and generally any games that came out for both consoles was better for Genesis. Yes it had great exclusives, and that's what always made Nintendo great. Mario Zelda F-Zero Donkey Kong etc are what made SNES great, and others like Killer Instinct. I understand having nostalgia but overall, Snes is not one of the 5 best consoles ever. N64 DS GBA Gamecube and regular NES were all better consoles, it's not even in Nintendo's top 5.
@@MoneyHoneyBunny if you couldn't tell by my 3 favorite games ever, I'm a big RPG fan. While the genesis had Phantasy Star and Shining Force, which are fantastic series in their own right, that is pretty much the entire list. I know there are some smaller titles, but up against the three I mentioned plus Mario RPG, Terrenigma, Lufia, and any others, I'll take SNES any day. Platformers get a bit harder to discern. Sonic 3 + Knuckles is top 3 for me, and it can go toe to toe with SMW any day. As for other Nintendo consoles, they all have their pluses and minuses. NES is what I grew up on. So I still have very fond memories of it. N64 is probably my least favorite Ninty console, but Mario 64 and DK 64 I will still play any day. GC had Prime and SSBM, but it had my least favorite Mario. 3DS is my second favorite console due to a massive catalog, if you include DS games.
@@charleneelyce You're right, quite frankly I've been in a lot of retro gaming conversations, A LOT in the last few years, and I tend to get the 'majority opinion' stuck in my head. I try to be unbiased and look at what other people think but, everyone has a right to their opinion and not everybody sees things the same way. Take Sega Saturn for example. Innovative beyond it's time, the first console to have a true modem attached to it, first console you could watch movies on via VCD, and quite frankly all of it's arcade ports were superior to the versions on PS1 generally. BUUUUT, I gotta be unbiased and say, it basically flopped compared to PS1 in the USA. In Japan? Different story but USA? By far was the least popular console between itself PS1 and N64. Sega was an absolute disaster between Saturn sales, 32X and Sonic-Xtreme, they choked hard. So I always ask Nintendo fans 'come on, give us Sega kids Genesis at least'
I still enjoy playing A Link to the Past today. I was a kid when it came out and a friend of mine had an SNES and had ordered the players guide. That guide was something special. So much unique art and story added into it. It was more like an early omnibus of Hyrule. After flipping through it we would run over to the park, find big sticks, and fight hordes of monsters. It also helped that a story element was that Link was decended from a line of knights. At the time I had learned of my family's coat-of-arms and had been increasingly obsessed with the ideals of knighthood.
Turtles in Time is, in my opinion, one of the greatest games of all time. That game is freakin awesome. I could play it every single day. God, I love it
Super Metroid deserves the love it gets. Nutjob speedrunning, casual playing, and however you want to play it; it's still one of the best games that Nintendo has ever offered. It plays so well, even to this day. I still haven't beaten the game in under five hours though. I always get some silly mistake that puts me a minute or two behind.
So many great, groundbreakng titles that left us with wonderful memories of gaming's true magic come to life. And that's not even including all the amazing games that were initially restricted to Japan like Tales of Phantasia, Final Fantasy V, Bahamut Lagoon, Tactics Ogre, Seiken Densetsu 3 and Front Mission.
I know this is a top 20 list which is already a lot of games, but considering that the SNES had so many great ones, I would've liked to see some honorable mentions. My all time favorite is Illusion of Gaia.
I always feel like Illusion of Gaia doesn't get the love it deserves and so I'm glad to see someone love it as much as I do. It is a fantastic game and I would love to see it brought to the switch.
@@jeffsenigma I'm not kidding you when I say that I check every week to see if it was realeases on the SNES port. I actually have a copy of the game, just don't have the system to play it on.
What a great video! I really enjoyed it. It was a nice walk on memory lane. I thought Super Metroid would be number 1, but Super Mario World deserves the spot, no doubt about it.
Fantastic video! This list really takes me back. The SNES had so many amazing games. I'm sure it's just nostalgia but modern games (while I love them) just don't feel as amazing to me as a lot of SNES games did. I remember I had a buddy that had a Genesis and I would go to his house to play those games and he would come to mine to play SNES games. We even swapped consoles sometimes. Great memories. I'm going to agree with a lot of others and say you should do a video about underrated SNES games (Soul Blazer, Actraiser, Illusion of Gaia, etc.).
Oddly enough I asked what games to put on my Snes mini and almost everyone said Chrono Trigger now I usually don’t play Turn based RPGS but I fell in LOVE with the game and it’s easily the best JRPG I’ve ever played
It may be turn based but I feel that it is still more accessible to people who are not usually JRPG fans just from the simple difference that there is technically no random battle. Enemies are visible on screen and battles are triggered. It's not a random thing that pop up every 5-10 steps you take like a lot of other JRPG of the time.
Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario World are legit my top two favorite SNES games. I'd probably put Super Mario World in the top 10 video games all time for me and Donkey Kong Country 2 will always be number 1 to me. I love it so much.
Oh man I loved many of the SNES games. Donkey Kong Country, F-Zero, Street Fighters, Mega Man X but of course my top favorite is the game that started the SNES trend Super Mario World. Also the game based upon my favorite cartoons Tiny Toons Busters Bust Loose was a fun game to play.
Didn't Watchmojo did this list already (both in Top 10 and Top 20 forms)? Anyways, my favorite SNES game is Super Metroid. That was when I became a HUGE fan of the Metroidvania genre. :)
Super mario world was the 1st ever game i played when i got it with the console on my 6th birthday, so has a special place in my heart ❤️ along with Mickey's magical quest and Buster busts loose. Also i had fond memories of Mario kart, the Lion king, Aladdin, Tmnt in time. The golden era of Disney games and beat em ups lol bring those years back.
I love the super nintendo it's one of my favorite console's. There were so many great game's for the super nintendo. This is a pretty good top 20 list. Some of my favorite super nintendo game's are the donkey kong country game's, teenage mutant ninja turtle's: turtle's in time, megaman x, kirby super star, super metroid, super mario world and super mario world 2: yoshi's island. I never played super mario RPG but I alway's wanted to play it.
SNES will always be my favourite console of all time... my first ever console and it has some amazing games. I remember being mind blown how good Donkey Kong Country looked and how fun the game was. I was 6 years old and feeling like a bad ass completing the first world over and over. And I think its the 3rd world boss the massive bee called queen b... it gave me nightmares was such a scary boss haha. Also spent a lot of time playing Super Mario World, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Mario Kart, Super Bomberman 2, Super Mario All Stars, Killer Instinct, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV, Sunset Riders and many more. If I wasn't playing them on my own... me and a friend who would spent like 6 hours playing 2 player on many of those amazing SNES games. Great times!
The SNES is probably one of; if not, the best gaming console in like ever. I feel it needs an underrated list, cause there's just so many out there to count. Super R-Type, Sailor Moon, Another Story, Super Mario RPG, Megaman X2, and X3, etc.. are just a few of my faves. I'm surprised Contra 3 is not on here. That's one of my favorite shooter games.
SNES honestly was very underwhelming. The Nintendo only games were and still are, the only reason to own a Nintendo console. The other consoles in each generation always are better as far as comparing games that came out for both consoles
@@MoneyHoneyBunny Super Castlevania>bloodlines Contra 3>hard corps MegaMan x>nothing! Dkc series> sonic series Turtles in time>hyperstone heist. Actraiser> Alex kidd
Yes there were quite a few underrated and/or overlooked games especially ones that were released later in the life of the SNES. I always like to mention Secret of Evermore as one of those games. It continues to be overlooked by Square even to this day. 🙄 I'm surprised MOJO didn't do honorable mentions and include SOE. I know at least staff of theirs in the past were fans of that game. It's such a memorable game and imo would be perfect as a remake especially to make it 2 player as originally intended. Also it was Jeremy Soules 1st video game to compose music for. Imagine having him do the music for the remake!
@@MoneyHoneyBunny While I personally prefer the Contra on Genesis and multi console games such as Aladdin, MK1 and NBA Jam on the Genesis to call the SNES very underwhelming is...ignorant @ best. Both were great consoles. Some prefer the SNES Contra as well as the SNES version of Aladdin. When MK 2 and 3 Ultimate came out and Nintendo finally allowed the blood the SNES games were the better versions. There were also exclusives beyond Nintendo made games on the SNES. Squaresoft was responsible for many great Nintendo exclusive games. Also the SNES could handle arcade games such as NBA Give N Go decently enough. The game wasn't even on the Genesis. The Dick Vitale basketball game did not compare. Although I will say if you liked sports games the Genesis was the better console especially w games like World Series Baseball. The SNES was definitely the better console for RPGs. So some of the thinking as to which one was better had to do with what genre of video games you liked.
@AnEagleInYourMind yeah that was me when I first started, it wasn't until years later that I started to really grind it out that I was really able to progress.
I agree. I’ve beat it a couple times now and it’s amazing. I’m on my third play through on the switch. With it being on that console I don’t see any reason not to at least try it. If you aren’t into grindy rpgs though I could see someone struggling with it though
@AnEagleInYourMind my recommendation for it is to ensure you've leveled up enough to get your PSI (something cool) power before facing the first boss. It makes it a lot easier.
The third one that was only released in Japan was even better. More characters to chose from and you also can chose a class whether is a dark mage or knight. There’s is 3 endings with different bosses depending on which character you chose.
I also really enjoyed Secret of Evermore which borrowed some things menu and gameplay wise from SOM. SOE arguably has one of the best soundtracks for the SNES similar to SOM. SOE was also the 1st video game Jeremy Soule composed music for.
Really hope the the next Nintendo direct announces that Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are getting added to the Switch and maybe a Square Enix collection gets announced with some of the retro Snes Square games like Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, and Ff6 though I doubt Square would do that since they are cheap.
My Most Favorite Super Nintendo Games are Killer Instinct, F-Zero, Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, Super Mario Kart, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time, Star Fox 2, Secret of Mana, Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island, Mega Man X, Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars, Kirby Super Star, Final Fantasy VI/6, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Chrono Trigger, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and last but not least, Super Mario World. These are all of the Best of the Best Super Nintendo Games I Absolutely Love to play with my Family and Friends SO much from my Childhood Years. I have myself some good times playing these Super Nintendo Masterpieces. I'll NEVER forget them all
My most favorite SNES game of all time that I would never get bored of playing even to this day since i was born in 89 which the game came out a few years later called KillerInstinct.
This list would have been totally invalid to me if you had left off Super Mario RPG, and I'm also super stoked to see you include Secret of Mana - neither game gets the love they deserve. But in my opinion, having played most of the games on this list, both Mario RPG and Secret of Mana deserved to be higher up on the list.
IMO, the SNES is my all-time favorite Nintendo console. Beautiful graphics for that time, unforgettable music (F-Zero one of the best ones), and countless hours wasted of my life, hahaha. Great list, however I cannot agree at all that Super Mario World is number 1. Link to the Past is by far the best SNES game ever, and probably one of the best videogames ever made.
As a kid I couldn’t wait to go to Blockbuster or another video rental store and look for a new game to rent for the NES or SNES. God, that was such a fun time. I wish to God I could go back in time and relive those days. It was magical. Growing up freakin SUCKS! Lol
I was apprehensive before watching this, but this is one of the better lists on this channel and I legitimately agreed with all of it. I probably would have put Chrono Trigger a spot higher, but I'm a bit biased. I always go back and forth on Chrono Trigger v Super Metroid but I love them both. And seeing as Metroid, especially Super Metroid, literally co-created an entire genre of gaming, I'm inclined to agree. That and the top two spots are legit since they started everything as well. On top of that, I had a literal flashback with every single one of these entries. Good stuff 👍
Chrono Trigger is still turn based, you just get too see the charge time between attacks, rather than it going straight from character to character. Just like FF6. Then you can set it to active or wait which puts the timer more into play, but either way its still turn based.
Well, you have to wait for your turn but enemies will keep attacking you if you do nothing. That's a big difference from the older turn based RPGs where you pick all of your attacks and then everything plays out like Earthbound
Tetris Attack and Super Punch Out definitely deserve consideration as well. The SNES SimCity was great too! Tetris 2 was a unique version of the game that never was brought back in any other releases of the game.
The SNES is by far my favorite console growing up, alongside the N64. My only regret is that I never had a chance to play Chrono Trigger, please come to Switch online 😭
Chrono Trigger, Star Fox, Super Mario World, Final Fantasy VI(III to us in the US), and Mega Man X were the best SNES games I've ever played or owned. The first title I had for it was Chrono Trigger. Good times.
Long story short: As a kid, I got a Mega Drive 2. Only played SNES games at an uncle's house and played Garou Densetsu Special, Top Gear 3000 and Rival Turf with my cousins. Got myself a Super Famicom in 2017 in Akihabara and later on been having fun with games like Final Fantasy VI, Turtles In Time, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Front Mission, Axelay and Super Street Fighter II. Also been enjoying the SNES version of Mortal Kombat II. There are some games I might not be getting at the moment, so I got myself a Super Everdrive and played downloaded games on my physical Super Famicom. But eventually slowly building up my collection of SNES and Super Famicom games.
For the SNES console there was so much *CRIMINALLY* underrated games 🎮 & music 🎶 Also, there were a lot of games also that weren't as fun due to the overall extreme difficulty of the game. 🛑 Nonetheless, the SNES stands as my favorite video game console date! 🎉 🎉
So many great memories I remember me and my siblings got a super Nintendo for Christmas The moment we installed it we played Super Mario world all day. 5:22 props to the new game Shredder's revenge for changing that method.
Mk3, super Mario 3, Castlevania and that one w the long laser gun you held like a rifle, but all time was killer instinct no doubt. Cinder and orchid were bomb
All of these SNES games are truly great, I still own Killer Instinct, Mega Man X, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Street fighter 2, The Legend Of Zelda A Link To Past, and Super Mario World, I've had these SNES gems for most of my life and I plan on never selling them or giving them away ever ✊

Yes 👏🍻
have you played a randomizer of a link to the past yet? i got addicted 3-4 years ago and now i am way better at alttp my younger self would be amazed at all the things i can do in that game
We need a top 20 underrated/ hidden gems on SNES. There are so many that don't get enough recognition
For anyone interested in this, I can recommend the channel SNES drunk. He covers basically everything around the SNES, even the most obscure titles from Japan that never got a translation.
Back to the Future Part II. Too bad that was released only in Japan. More faithful to the movie than the crappy LJN titles for the NES.
Prehistorik Man, Asterix, Goof Troop
Illusions of Gaia, Secret of Evermore, Joe and Mac, Pocky and Rocky, Flashback Quest For Identity...
Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, Illusions of Gaia, Aerobiz/Aerobiz Supersonic, Secret of Mana probably my absolute fave.
‘Super Mario World’ was my number one favorite SNES game.
Number 1 SNES game for sure... Top 3 of all time from any game system
Me too
Any game that you can jump thousands of feet into the air, dive, and land on an enemy chest first has my vote.
Same here I was just playing it on my snes and I'm 38 but this game has never grown old
@@craigjohnson9343 same here. Im 28, and love that game.
Im glad Super Mario RPG is on this list.
It was very funny and one of Mario’s best RPG games.
HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW?!
@@shawny2scrawny
HAPPY😊
@@lapthom Maybe you are just too good. MMX is perfect for me. Contra is too difficult for me to play.
@@newgameaaaa Sigmas last form was a bit hard though. Anyway, guess I can just try an x-buster only run without upgrades :-p.
I was thinking the very same thing. And to be honest, Contra 3 is one of my top five favorite SNES games of all times. Kinda disappointed that the game did not make this countdown
Dkc2 still looks and sounds amazing all these years later.
Imo the best in the series. Which was ofcourse heavily influenced by a love for anything pirates related ;)
The third one also doesn’t get nearly enough love for this. Say what you want about Kiddy, but it is a beautiful looking game
1 probably gets the most love outta all 3 of them
What a time to be a gamer. The 90s
yeah man, youger generations will never understand what we felt back then, great time to be alife and young! cheers!
Yoshi's Island was truly a great game. I was glad when they rebooted it for Game Boy Advance SP, so I could play it more.
I agree! Plus Yoshi’s Island was one of the first games I ever saw.
How does the gba version compare to the snes? I want to get this game since I never played it and not sure which one to get
@@josephoverstreet5584 There both the same game, they just have some different sound effects. Since they don't make SNES anymore it's best to try and look for GBA. It's small and easy to carry around with you.
SNES is hands down the greatest system ever. My top 3 games of all time made it on the list (Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and Earthbound).
@@MoneyHoneyBunny Because it's their opinion on a subjective topic. No answer is wrong.
Zelda Final fantasy and star fox
Honestly it's insane how well Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 have aged all these years later!
3 has aged just as well. Smh
@@paulgilbert5278 3 is my favorite mostly due to nostalgia, but it's still so unfair how it never gets mentioned along with the first two.
That's because 3 wasn't on the same level as the first two.
Right! I played 1, 2 and 3 about two years ago and I had a blast, just like when they came out first
DKC 1 & 2, tho! Cell-shaded graphics, immersive level design, memorable baddies & bosses, breathtaking music. A nostalgic milestone!
God, I love it
a dominant classic
Me too!! I love tossing foot soldiers... it's so satisfying. I've beaten hard without dying👍
Earthbound is just such an amazing game that I'm glad is starting to get the recognition it deserves.
Not only was it a great rpg but the game had so many twist and wild experiences
I'm addicted to earthbound!
OMG I can't complain with this list at all. Seriously, I kept expecting you to leave one out, but you didn't. This list is solid.
I’m a big RPG lover so I played a lot of them. One not mentioned here that I feel deserves special mention is Lufia and it’s sequel.
lufia 2, was freaking fantastic great puzzle dungeons, kinda shitty what the main character does but oh well its all in the past now
love Lufia - I transcribed some of the music to piano sheet
I know this is a top 20 list which is already a lot of games, but considering that the SNES had so many great ones, I would've liked to see some honorable mentions. My all time favorite is Illusion of Gaia.
Illusion of Gaia is a highly underrated RPG from that era.
Amazing game, and learned about actual things I otherwise may not have ever known of, like the Nazca Lines!
@@Michelle-DiPalo my boss and I both are waiting for it to finally make it there. We're both retro gamers and adore that game.
Great list! Nice nostalgia. Honorable mentions... Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Earthworm Jim and one of those various Mickey Mouse joints 💯
Super nintendo is the most iconic console of all time
Zombies Ate My Neighbors is one of the best co-op games on the SNES. Shame it wasn't on here.
Zombies was so good. I recently beat it on the collection released for Switch. Was damn hard, but satisfying to complete.
To this day it blows my mind how good Super Castlevania 4 looks, sounds and plays.
The game is over 30 years old!
I agree it should be higher than 12. The graphics and sound were incredible.
We had both the SNES and the Genesis and the only Genesis games I loved were the ToeJam and Earl games
No matter what Mario is still the best game which made our childhood awesome !!
Yeah Mario is the best
Oddly enough I asked what games to put on my Snes mini and almost everyone said Chrono Trigger now I usually don’t play Turn based RPGS but I fell in LOVE with the game and it’s easily the best JRPG I’ve ever played
It may be turn based but I feel that it is still more accessible to people who are not usually JRPG fans just from the simple difference that there is technically no random battle. Enemies are visible on screen and battles are triggered. It's not a random thing that pop up every 5-10 steps you take like a lot of other JRPG of the time.
@@chamoo232 exactly and I wasn’t really into JRPGS when I played it but damn if I loved it I think anybody would like it
I had a SNES when they first came out. Loved a lot of the games. Happy to relive some of them with my SNES Classic Mini.
Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario World are legit my top two favorite SNES games. I'd probably put Super Mario World in the top 10 video games all time for me and Donkey Kong Country 2 will always be number 1 to me. I love it so much.
That’s a solid list, but I would probably bump Donkey Kong Country 2 for Actraiser 2.
I played almost all of these (born In 81) wow what a stroll through my memories. Thanks for the video!
Earthbound is my favorite Super Nintendo game of all time. The goofy dialogue, the storyline and especially the soundtrack are all awesome.
@@MoneyHoneyBunny . U are smoking crack man. SNES is better than Genesis any day. Compare the top 20 games of each system and SNES wins hands down.
@@MoneyHoneyBunny
Super Castlevania>bloodlines
Contra 3>hard corps
MegaMan x>nothing!
Dkc series> sonic series
Turtles in time>hyperstone heist.
Killer Instinct footage here is not from the SNES but from the Arcade.
Killer Instinct was great. Remember me and my cousin playing that for hours trying to beat Idol
Super Castlevania IV's soundtrack was phenomenal. I used to let the game sit on the BGM player and just let the soundtrack play. :-)
That chandelier scene music is one of the greatest songs, ever!

Great list and always great videos! Took me back to my childhood lol love you guys!
Secret of Mana was amazing! Loved the soothing soundtrack and cooperative adventure! #reminesce
The third one that was only released in Japan was even better. More characters to chose from and you also can chose a class whether is a dark mage or knight. There’s is 3 endings with different bosses depending on which character you chose.

Really hope the the next Nintendo direct announces that Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are getting added to the Switch and maybe a Square Enix collection gets announced with some of the retro Snes Square games like Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, and Ff6 though I doubt Square would do that since they are cheap.

i clicked so fast because i wanted to see Killer Instinct on this list! Good job WatchMojo.
I remember buying a SNES back in '99 and Donkey Kong Country 3. The most fun I had playing a game ever.
Donkey kong country 2, beautiful leves, beautiful music, perfect game 🥰
My most favorite SNES game of all time that I would never get bored of playing even to this day since i was born in 89 which the game came out a few years later called KillerInstinct.
There are some issues in the video, using the arcade images for Killer Instinct and instead of Super Street Fighter II, using World Warrior footage.
Whenever Nintendo is mentioned, Mario is always the game that pops in most people head...says alot (in a good way)
Perfect list! Glad to see Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts made the cut. Well deserved.
Nah, it tooks Contra lll spot.
@@enriquegomez8114 fair enough!! But, I prefer Super GNG any day.
Lol
How is Super Mario Kart that low? That game started a whole genre.
It doesn’t hold up as well as its sequels
Aw, no Tetris Attack? I loved that game.
Kirby Superstar and Super Mario Kart were also favorites.

SUPER METROID ❤️
My 5 Favorite SNES Games:
1. Super Castlevania 4
2. Super Metroid
3. Zelda: A Link to the Past
4. Contra 3: The Alien Wars
5. Mega Man X
Where's Contra???
talks about Killer Instinct on the SNES, shows the arcade game instead, wooooow, great job.
Truly the golden era of gaming. None of the modern problems.
The SNES is by far my favorite console growing up, alongside the N64. My only regret is that I never had a chance to play Chrono Trigger, please come to Switch online 😭
Thr guy narrating absolutely sucks. It's like he's reading from a script and is pronouncing certain words out loud for the 1st time in his life.
Chrono Trigger, Star Fox, Super Mario World, Final Fantasy VI(III to us in the US), and Mega Man X were the best SNES games I've ever played or owned. The first title I had for it was Chrono Trigger. Good times.
Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy's Kong Quest and Super Mario World have fond memories of playing on the switch
For the SNES console there was so much *CRIMINALLY* underrated games 🎮 & music 🎶
Also, there were a lot of games also that weren't as fun due to the overall extreme difficulty of the game. 🛑 Nonetheless, the SNES stands as my favorite video game console date! 🎉 🎉
I honestly can't complain about this list mojo. Well done!
