Their decision to lead w Emptiness Machine was just as much a message as it was a song. Set the tone with a new singer, put her front and center, "Just so we're clear, this is us now. Here, the next song will sound EXACTLY like the old stuff."
Its very Hybrid Theory like. Its a huge One Step Closer alternate. Chester Bennington: "Shut up when I'm talking to you!" Emilie Armstrong: "Stop yelling at me!" One Step Closer 2.0! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I think they are having fun and have a new lease of life. Emily brings something new to the band. A different personality. I don't think it really matters which song they released first their comeback was always going to be massive. Mike is LP. He is the most important member. Always has been.
I saw an interview with Mike and Emily from about a week ago. Mike started working with her in 2019 and at the time, it had nothing to do with Linkin Park. They worked on a track Mike had made and made another from scratch. Mike said as he was working with her, he saw little clues in the dynamic of how she may be a fit for Linkin Park. He then made a playlist of like 5 songs from her work in Dead Sara, and gave it to the band to see if they saw the same dynamic that he did. Things just evolved from there into what it is today.
I really, really like this one because all of them shine in this song, mike's raping is awesome, brad's and phoenix riffs are awesome, collins drums fits so well and emily singing and screaming her lungs out, this track is a bomb just pure fire 🔥 All the album is good but this one, IGYEIH and Good Thing Go are my top 3
Love the reaction! Keep up the great work! (forever a Subscriber here). Also, good pointing out Fred Durst being a good bridge breaker. AND! When she said "Stop yelling at me!!" it's sort-of similar to Cherster's "Shup up when I'm talking to you!!". It has that Hybrid Theory vibe but unique in their own ways. Emily is amazing!
This is thee Hybrid Theory callback I wanted. I feel like they're adding in blips of all their albums which I can appreciate. Really hoping for more of this on the next album. Either way, I'm so happy to see Mike happy and enjoying performing again. I hope I get to see them in concert next year, praying tickets aren't insanely priced...
I can see your logic in saying this song should have been the first single but bands usually never release the best song first and I think you’re talking about Hunting Party
I won’t lie… I didn’t think Linkin Park should have come back originally. I wasn’t that big of a fan of Emptiness Machine. I was sold on Emily with Heavy Is The Crown. She killed it. Linkin Park showed up when I was a sophomore in high school (I’m old y’all). Two faced is good.
Did you hear Mike's mixtape Ziggurats? That's some of my favorite rapping he's done since Fort Minor. That's when he had his best rap in my opinion. Especially on the Green Lantern We Major mixtape. Ziggurats has some great nerd lyrics. " Hide I'm a king like Richard Bachman"
The hunting party buddy, right before one more light! Bro we need to team up with these reaction videos my man lol Unfiltered reactions feat Gary UA-cam lol
Wayne Static had nothing to do with It's Goin' Down - he just did a cameo in music video, that's all. Only Mike and Joe worked on this track, not all band.
It's Goin' Down is such a good song with him and The X-ecutioners!
@@pmv1969 🎯 couldn’t… remember the name. 🔥
Bars…
Shinoda is like you describe because of Emily. Those two are feeding off each other in a magical way.
4:20 yep. Their chemistry is great.
Seeing Mike smile the way he was when I saw them in NYC was just everything to me.
I love this song 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

even though I appreciate very much their more out-there songs where they take more risks, this is just my favourite I can't help it
You nailed it sir. Mikes been resurrected, the chemistry on their live shows demonstrates that, im excited to see what they do from here :)
Its very Hybrid Theory like. Its a huge One Step Closer alternate.
Chester Bennington: "Shut up when I'm talking to you!"
Emilie Armstrong: "Stop yelling at me!"
One Step Closer 2.0! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You should hear it mixed with figure.09
Two steps closer to
Next album look for a title with three in it and it’ll be another homage back to hybrid theory lmao

I think that's more like Figure.09

Your Channel deserves the word unfiltered in its name. Lovely stuff!
Figure .09 vibes! Although the scream in the final third sounded like the "No, no turning back" scream in the figure .09 demo version
YEAAAAHHHHH, i think immediately the sameee
Yesss it sounds so similar
Already a nu metal classic

We still need Mike to release that playlist! I've been a fan of Dead Sara for 12 years so I'm curious what he chose to show them
100% disagree on machine being first. That was absolutely the song to use to introduce Emily to fans

The vibe of the video is unbeliavable, its pushing so hard
True bro, one of the shinoda raps its in the song "its going down" with the dj group, great song

You should check out LPTV’s behind the scenes for this video 😅 they’re crazy 😝
Of course he's hungry. He hasn't eaten in 7 years

If you watch the Live Stream you will understand why The Emptiness Machine was first.
STOP YALLING AT ME!!!!!!
On of my favourite on this album not a Emily fan but she killed it
Talking about It's Goin' Down you mentioned - Wayne Static only in the music video, he is not on the song.

This song should be named Two Faced Closer 😜

also Post Traumatic is amazing especially how he expresses his emotions around Chester's death

YES I thought of that too. The chorus was meh. Maybe too repetitive......oddly enough. Still catchy
Like Paramore or some shite. Mike sounded better on his own than this aging music.

Unfiltered reactions feat Gary UA-cam lol
It's going down! Linkin park feat, Xecutioners and Wayne static buddy! That was the jam of 2002 or my junior year in Hs

@PPRKUT88 cool, I only seen the video! I didn't know about the arrangements or production of the song itself.
Damn, overflow? I'm thinking good things go!
