I've bought 3 sets of those big bore shocks now for my boy's and I. We've given them a few really good bashes and still not leaking. So far I'm really happy with them.
nice video bud , they sure do love a beating . some great jumps and nailed you nailed it 😃 interested to what the tyres are like after a few runs so looking forward to an update on thoes. yea my shox leak too ,, nice one 😃👍
Thank you, im curious about the tires too. They are stiffer so im guessing it might last longer on rough terrian. The stock tires are great but very soft and dont like rocks 😀
Always like your videos. I can also relate to the frustration of videos getting cut shorter than expected for one reason or another. My Senton shocks have not started leaking yet, which is nice, but I'm really not sure what I'll do when they do. I like my Senton, but not enough to spend too much money on it. Knowing me, I'll probably run it without fluid for a while, bouncing along like a buckin' bronco. The biggest problem I've had so far, is bearings locking up after running the truck in the wet. WD40 frees them up pretty quickly so far. I'm still getting to know the truck, and its needs.
@@FortekNine [ SHOCK OIL?? Better check first!] I bought the Big Bore shocks, Installed them, then I opened the top cap and realized there was NO OIL inside them. I bought 30 weight silicone shock oil and installed. May want to mention to all viewers to check the inside of the shocks when they arrive. Great Video!! @@locallegobrix5984 I don't know. I know I have V3 and no bother at all. I see a lot of complaints about earlier shocks but I guess if you're not having problems then probably not.
Did you have to adjust the ride height at all I just threw mine on and shes sitting damn near on the ground lol. I haven't had a chance to run yet but I'm hoping it doesn't always bottom out
I tried running 20 with granite tires and it's fine as long as your not on throttle for a long period of time like doing speed runs back and forth, if your bashing it's fine. I had the esc cut out only when I did speed runs with granite tires.
@@FortekNine i appreciate your reply bro! I just bought my senton 3s about a week ago and its my very first rc and i learn a lot from watching your vlogs. Keep updating us about what youve upgraded to your senton bro thanks!
I first use a electric pc air duster or air compressor to get dirt off, then wash the whole truck, blow it off with air, spay wd40 on the truck then go again with air to get off most of the wd40 and then wipe it down with a rag.
I was having a lot of problems with rolls as well, i mainly do street/skatepark but i do dirt too. What fixed it for me was putting really thick diff fluid in the front, 125k losi i think, grease in the rear was fine. i believe the issue was while turning the inside front tire would lift and the diff gives most the power to the one with no resistance, outside wheel loses power, catches and flips. If you have brushed get the 3s slipper, allows slipping between front and back diffs and will help keep you planted. Looking into aluminum parts myself. Good luck!
how much stiffer are they compare to the stock shocks? Im not a fan of the soft stock setup. and also, does the shocks come with oil or do you have to add some?
Is this what RC heaven looks like?
I just installed these same exact Big Bore Shocks on my Big Rock v3 4s conversion with 35wt Oil and So Far So Good!!!✌️👍😁

That's awesome to hear, I was really hoping they were good, glad I went with the big bore shocks😊 so far no leaks for me 😊
@Bill Perri yes same size, when you buy them on ebay they will say it's for the Senton or other arrma trucks, would be nice if they included size
Fivo Nine '
you are a great youtuber
Thinking about getting some ebay shocks. But jeez seeing that track took me back to my arenacross racing days 😭😭. Sick setup man
Thank you 😁
What a great forest you have to play in❤
Tires look good for hard top only. try trenchers or bad lands for dirt . More money yes but way better grip .
I runs those shocks with 3 valve delrin pistons and 60wt oil..They are darn good.
Yea im really loving them and I might try that out.
@Bill Perri so far I like them, bashed pretty hard couple days and no leaks, they do not come with oil

@Bill Perri Thanks for the tip and part number, I'll give them a try 👍
Good Video and Nice spot! Might order me some of those shocks... 💪🏾💯🚀🔥
I ordered a Senton today. Already looking at upgrades.
Not sure about the newer models but only issues I had were the shocks leaking 😀 Overall awesome truck
@@FortekNine how did the big bore shocks hold up?
All the videos of yours that I have seen are gorgeous. Thanks for making them. Subed
Thank you and Thanks for the sub! 😁
@@FortekNine did you ever upgrade to another shock from the big bore?
Dang that thing rips! Awesome video bro love that transition in the beginning
Yea man pretty quick! Thanks
@@FortekNine how did the shocks hold up? i need shocks for my senton and im looking
Nice vid, I had the same problem with my old senton, leaky shocks
Yea man it sucks, got tired repairing them lol
keep us up to date of how the shocks have been working please!
Will do 😊
I have the same shocks and they are doing fine after 6 months of use and no shock oil change.
Nice content and camera quality!!
Thank you man 😀
@@FortekNine hi from Costa Rica!!
No leaks yet? I think we are all anxious about that haha
Your locations are amazing , your skills very good ...👏👍
Much appreciated! 😁👍
Love that bash spot!
Question: why did you go with these shocks, instead of the 1/8 scale Arrma factory ones?
One of my favorite spots! No real reason just trying them out, if they fail I'll try something else out. They weren't expensive and seemed to be good.
these shocks are much cheaper than 1/8 arrma factory ones, so if they work, they are a great idea!!
@@diegocruz3156 so far I like them, but we'll see how they hold up, for the price they are good
@@FortekNine Great videos man. I'm running the Pro Line big bore shocks. Little pricy but worth it.
Since it's 3s will the granite/big rock suspension pieces fit? Chubs, steering Knuckles, a arms?
Yes they will 😀

I think they fixed the shocks already. Mine don't leak :D
Yeah, they upgraded the o rings in the V3 shocks so much less leaky

I assume you are running on 3s,what kind of run times do you get with the mah and c rating of battery you use?
Yes 3S and i would say about 20-30 min
@@FortekNine appreciate the response.
How have the shocks held up? I’m looking at getting some, I don’t do big jumps just like backyard driving
They been holding up really well
How much mm? Can i put double shocks? I really like the traxxas udr shocks, but they are 8 shocks, can i convert that?
The UDR shocks would be too long, These were $40 for all four
Did you have to adjust the ride height at all I just threw mine on and shes sitting damn near on the ground lol. I haven't had a chance to run yet but I'm hoping it doesn't always bottom out
Yes just adjust the springs how you like them, my back sits a little lower then the front
@@FortekNine cool thanks man
Quick question, do you need to full the shocks with oil or are they filled? Thanks
you need to fill them 😁
What locked up, I stripped my spur gear outta nowhere just like that. I put 12 hex adapter. Nfg. If you upgrade to 17 there is no issue.
It was the bearing inside the motor that went out
bro! did you switch back the pinion back to 20 since its smaller than the granite tires?
I tried running 20 with granite tires and it's fine as long as your not on throttle for a long period of time like doing speed runs back and forth, if your bashing it's fine. I had the esc cut out only when I did speed runs with granite tires.

I got different hexes, but adapters might be better

@@Josh-xj3fm Your welcome man and thank you 😆
Any recommendations for aluminum parts and a way to upgrade this thing so it stops rolling so much?
Not really sure about that, you can mess with different shock oil to see what corners best but parts upgrade not really sure.
yeah dont tighten the springs all the down keep them loose so its can compress easy on tight turns and keep the center gravity low
Fivo Nine and what upgrades do you recommend to do with your car if you get Granite tires? Different spur gear? Different sized hex’s for the wheels?
I was having a lot of problems with rolls as well, i mainly do street/skatepark but i do dirt too. How are the shocks holding up? Im looking for something to stiffer than the stock setup

how much stiffer are they compare to the stock shocks? Im not a fan of the soft stock setup.
and also, does the shocks come with oil or do you have to add some?
Have you taken it apart yet to find out why it locked up like that?
Yea it was the bearing inside the motor that went out, waiting for some parts to put it back together 😊
Which front bumper is it?
It's from T Bone racing
Do they fit on Arrma Senton 4x4 Mega?
I'm not 100% sure but I think they would since it's same body
Planning to order these big bore shocks. How are they holding up?
No issues at all, bashed hard on them and no leaks 😊

My shocks leaked all the oil out and I only ran it a few times because I blew up the motor
Dang that sucks 😐

Fivo Nine yeah I bought the hot racing barrels with bleeder screw and they haven’t leaked since.
Still no leaks?
been couple weeks and no leaks 😀
Is it $40 for the set (all four) ? Or $40 a piece?
Probably a dumb question but I just wanna be sure
