Christmas decorations are not something I think about but this is probably the nicest display I have ever seen. It's bold without being overdone or eccentric. It is tasteful without being gaudy. This is a class act that justifies its pricing. Thank you for the detailed capture of all of the intricate pieces and historical charms. The food and menu close ups were outstanding. I can't hit the LIKE button enough times.

I have American friends who win "premium" trips there for selling lots of Buick automobiles. Car salesmen! Far better to spend a week at the Four Seasons George V, Paris, The Dorchester London, or similar hostelries of high reputation. Don't write me ugly letters; I'm a hotel snob, and this one just doesn't merit its reputation.

Unfortunately I was getting the same impression looking at this before I read your comments. A legendary hotel that has descended into an overtly commercial enterprise. Years ago the hotel was very different but of course it was a different World before mass tourism.
I have stayed there. It is a dump. The bathrooms are gross. The beds are awful. The rooms are literally 60 years old They leave maid carts in the hallways If you need to charge something, there are no plugs I arrived at 9pm and ordered a room service hamburger. It was still frozen in the middle. The GM the next day apologized, but there was no excuse. Why do these stupid UA-camr never criticize? BECAUSE FOR GIVING GOOD REVIEWS THEY STAY FOR FREE
Breads,butter, towels on top...🎉Do you need to comment what people can see for themselves ? AND THE WRITING...People can't appreciate the scenery because of your large bold writing.Do it discreetly ,for God's sake !,,
Please note : Villa d'Este Lake Como is amazing hotel, but it is closed from January to March. It is open from April to December.
