You had me at "Lobster Benedict"! With everything included + breakfast for 1600 Euros (approx) that is a great price for the location. Thank you sir for your detailed video of everything from the mini bar to what is inside all of the drawers. Unlike every other hotel Vlog you capture and answer of the essential questions viewers might have. The dinner seemed expensive compared to some of the tasting menus you have tried and I expected several courses to be complimentary in addition to what you had ordered. Mostly I enjoyed the peacefulness of Aman Venice. From start to finish this was a wonderful escape - thank you so very much.
Thanks for the flashback. I stayed in the cheapest place I could find 10 years ago but it was very comfortable, close to the "bus" dock, and best coffee I had in Italy. For those who haven't been there, the stacks of tables in front of the basilica are actually sidewalks for when the tide is in. We had to use them one day that I was there. I spent 3 nights and still didn't pay close to what you pay for one day at the Aman.
Last year, I took public transport, right from Venice airport to the Grand canal for 10 to 12 Euro, but for a slower ride, which took 45 minutes ore more
@jtmbin Of course, there are other ways.🤷♀️ But Venice us known for trying to exploit people out of their money constantly. It has gotten so bad that tourists have involved the police! And I have actually experienced some of this myself! It is getting more and more ridiculous! But what is that they say' What goes around eventually comes around!
Absolute discrepancy between price and quality. The room shown is not beautiful with cheap furniture, the view from the window is ordinary. There are many hotels in Venice with excellent locations, but not so expensive. This hotel is far from the best.
Aman has jumped the shark. They used to have landmark buildings with ultra unique layout. Now it looks like an overpriced four seasons. I mean compare this with Amangani. It’s a joke.
@@chris8535 Well tbh this one was built before changing the ownership to Doronin. I'd say the fault of the architect when choosing the furnitures. But yeah current owner is obsessed with become the most expensive rates in the city (New York, and upcoming Dubai). Some of Aman properties might not be selling well with this cold tone and current pricing..
I agree I wasn’t that impressed. Last spring I stayed at the St Regis in Venice in a very spacious room, with a very large bathroom and views of the canal from multiple windows. Comparing it to the Aman is apples and oranges, but the lobby level floors seemed more elegant, although I would definitely give you that stunning ballroom on the second floor. rI was also aware that when you arrived, there was nobody at reception to greet you. my real delight was staying at the Saint Regis Rome. They were a delightful staff surprising me with a birthday cake and just a lot of small things to express their appreciation and make it a really wonderful stay. Moreover, in the restaurant at the lobby level, they have a live jazz band which was great. The Saint Regis ROME is a wonderful place to stay. The room was not as nice as Venice, but they made up for it in excellent service..
Complete budget armchair traveler but thats the thing that stuck out to me; the hideous cheap looking furniture!! Looks like its IKEA from 2009. Doesnt matter if it isnt, it looks it. Its not even unique enough to be a statement as a contrast to the historical building. Just ugly AF
When it comes to the price, they have already understood the luxury. Now all that's missing is the quality. Starting with the 3 loveless tangerines as the “welcome fruit”, the lemon in the drawer. Or the chocolates as a welcome greeting. They can be found everywhere in the world, draped on the table in the same listless form. Then in the spa no one at the counter. The food may be good, but it's just average luxury food. They are exactly the same and expensive all over the world. But also just expensive. Overall, as creative as a luxury franchise system. And then the night lighting of the hotel looks like a cheap country disco. Nevertheless, thank you very much for introducing the hotel. Then you know where you can save. I prefer the small and simple country inns. There is less ping-pling, but there are people there who prepare regional dishes really honestly and with heart. You can't get enough of big names either. We were e.g. B. in Croatia in a small restaurant on the country road. There was beef steak from grass-fed beef which grew on the pasture behind the restaurant. Plus fresh Istrian truffles. The fries were homemade. Price 2019: 9.50 euros! Or optionally Istrian noodles. Homemade for 7.50 euros. This is true luxury!
ANOTHER Croatian from their tourist board. lol...know how many times I've read Croatians disparaging Venice and saying their cities are better in order to send tourist their way? Croatia has the largest net amount of emigrants leaving of any European country...solve that problem first.
everyone should see venice regardless of the price level.....The thing that I noticed most is there is no noise there are no cars or vehicle's....sublime.
i remember very vividly getting on a boat on canale grande with my ex-girlfriend around 2005. there was a sailboat with a blond guy and a hot brunette, some cameras and a clapperboard with "blue horizon" on it. i realized when they were gone that they were filming the ending of casino royale :)
This hotel may be the most expensive in Venice, but booking there is not worth the high price. As far as I can see, there is absolutely nothing of the Venetian flair. Book at Hotel Danieli and you'll be in a traditional Venetian hotel with overwhelmingly more luxurious amenities.
You should take the private executive suites on the new Italo trains. The one you took in this video is older and not as nice. The newer ones have stunning creme leather upholstery on everything, from light switches to seat dividers, and a lot of thought was put into the design. I usually catch this train from Milano going south.
This is by no means the poshest hotel in Venice. There are hotels that are at least 5 times more luxurious. The lobby was a disappointment and the rooms are also quite standard. Everyone knows, that the Gritti palace, the St. Regis, the Belmond Hotel and even the Ca Maria Adele rank above the “Amman”.
At 5:08 you show the thermostat for the air conditioning and heat and said the lights had dimmers 😂 it’s not a big deal I was just pointing it out by the way I do love your videos I have been watching all weekend.
Sounds crazy, but the only room that make sense to me is the Alcova Tiepolo Suite for 5.8k per night, cause Tiepolo is the most famous venician painter of the 18th century, sleeping and having some fun under his frescos is quite interesting.
Just spent 4 days at St. Regis Venice @2800 euro/night…Id say the differentiator is the service hands down, Amans room looks nicer tbh…is it expensive? Yup…so is a a Bugatti…so is a LP jacket…inflation does that for rich people…
I think they exploited the hotel's historical significance and its location and overcharged customers. The key attractions of this hotel is not how luxurious it is, but rather the facility's history as an aristocratic residence and that it is located in an iconic destination, Venice, and situated along a scenic canal. Thanks for sharing!
HUGELY disappointing! Not up to the normal Aman standard of rooms! Check out H10 next door, only 4 stars, but their suite is bigger, has Rialto bridge and grande canal view, PLUS a balcony! Not to mention it’s MUCH cheaper! If you are just in it for luxury and prestige, stay at the four season Danieli once refurbishment has finished or at the Gritti. Aman works pretty well in most Asian destinations, except Bali. Bit Europe, no thanks!
The rooms are certainly small for an Aman hotel. Because Aman is not a hotel built from scratch, the interior design is a little different from other hotels.
Very nice but for Italy , those prices are crazy expensive! €2000 per night for a room with canal view ? €300 for dinner That’s for Sheiks and Hollywood actors …… There are very nice hotels in Venice where for €400-500 per night you would get a very nice room and restaurants where for €150 you would eat just as well….That’s still on the expensive side for Italy, but more reasonable…..

Lovely video. But £300 for a ten minute taxi ride around the corner is an absolute disgrace!😳🤷♀️
Last year, I took public transport, right from Venice airport to the Grand canal for 10 to 12 Euro, but for a slower ride, which took 45 minutes ore more
Why? No one is forced to take it and there are other ways.

I have to agree. I was only charged 90 euro for a private transfer and my hotel was further than the Aman.
Kocham Wenecje jak chyba wszyscy, byłam kilka razy i chetnie oglądam to video, dziekuję za wspaniałe wrażenia.
Very nice report. I really enjoyed it. Bravissimo ! Thank you so much !! 🙏😍😍😍😍😍

Croatia v Venice. 😂😂😂
Venice is a stunning town, Aman a beautiful Hotel, thank you very much for this amazing video, best regards from Switzerland 🇨🇭😊
Are u single 😊
This is one of the best videos I have seen about Venice.
Thank you,
Jeff❤
As a venetian i know you can find something better for a much more reasonable price . Anyway thank you for this video it was a pleasure .
Interesting and detailed report..Thanks for sharing
Venice is so cool, I love it! Thank you for the tour, really enjoyed it!
I take taxi from Luxury Collection Venice to VCE airport only 140EUR..
It’s more than 30 mins tour, 10 mins 310EUR is so expensive😮
SORRY BUT THESE ROOMS IN THE HOTEL ARE NOT ATTRACTIVE IN THE LEAST. THEY LOOK LIKE A 3 STAR HOTEL.
Thank you, I fully agree
"There is an electric elevator." Is there another kind?
What a beautiful hotel!!

Beautiful handmade glass from Venice is expected in the shop.
My private water taxi from the airport to Hotel near by Saint Marks square was 190USD.
Also to the station from Hotel was 80USD.
Thanks for sharing❤
Lovely hotel in a beautiful city. Have been to Venice already twice. Next year also planning to go...during Carnival

Beautiful
I would like to go Venice with the right people.

❤🌹🎵🙏🏾 merci Beaucoup!
Lovely. I wish I could stay there.
Anyone paying €2000 a night for this room needs their heads examined.
$337 dollars for a one way water taxi ride? I hope you made a mistake, that’s more expensive than traveling on air anywhere in Europe
Yes...if we ask the hotel to pick us up by water taxi, it will cost that much

16.4.2024.First class,very good and super..Thank you.
The room looks like any room you can get in Newark New Jersey, and the furniture is scratched. Disgusting.
Nice hotel 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
A luxury hotel should send a boat to meet you on arrival. You should not have had to get your own water taxi.
I cannot comprehend how such an extortionate amount can be charged for a ride on a water taxi?
I would rather swim!
Odd combo, fire extinguisher and yoga mat… strange work out 😂
That €310 for the transfer from the train station is a rip off.
Hotel Danieli !!!!en Venecia 👌
€1600 for a wash bag! 😂😂😂 15:39
Venice isn’t the same all these tourists make life much more difficult due to high prices so people are leaving their own home to go somewhere cheaper
The smallest room among Aman in the wrold? European hotels are so small, not to mention it's very expensive

MAGNIFICAT. 🔴🔴♦️🔺❗️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From the videos I’ve seen of the Aman brand I find the atmosphere too clinical.
For a private luxury water taxi is almost that much but regular taxi for that distance was only like $15-$30. So very misleading!
3 mandarini di welcome! 😂Tutto gratuito😂2000 euro a notte😂ascensore elettrico😂
The room doesn't seem to have more amenities than any other room. A light switch by the door. Okay...
Crossants, muffin, Danish, ceiling etc.Do you read or hear yourself ? STATING THE OBVIOUS! Apicture is worth 1000 words .Keep that in mind
I can’t imagine spending so much money for one night. Who cares where you sleep? As long as it’s clean - you’re in Venice to see Venice, right?

Well i must say...i did not get the 'whaooooo' factor when entering tve room.Venise is magic so go if you can.Ciao.
I allways stay in Danieli
5 star luxury hotel room, really? I've been staying at 4 stars hotel that had better ammenities and more modern than that in Asia

5 stars? No way. Nice but way over priced.
The bedrooms are average!
The building is beautiful but the furniture ruins the whole experience. The Gritti Palace is better
