The reason why Shu did a lot better than Free did against Phi is because free actually made the mistake of using his best attacks early on and making phoenix get its armor to attack(Then again Free didn’t know what to expect), while shu decided to use weaker strikes to wear down phoenix’s burst resistance (Knowing what Phi could now do) but not enough to break off the armor, but sadly Phi caught on and destroyed him anyway…..
his resonance is stronger too, you can clearly see when phi even tried to consume him, I don't think free could've handled that
Maybe that’s true, But free has always had amazing resonance, and Phi didn’t try this on Him
Those are facts. Also, Phi had all the information on Free from Kyle after getting the Dread Tower for himself, and according to how Phoenix was made, Dr Evel probably designed Dread Phoenix taking into account every beys weaknesses.

Of course he never planned on aiga since he has done with him before. Phi even used cannon crush+dead gravity on shu tried to swallow into darkness and all of those didn't work, I think that's just shows.

Shu would have won if it wasn’t for plot armor. Phi got lucky he didn’t get burst in the first round, was also lucky that Spryzen hitted the ground first in the second round, and was also lucky enough to deactivate Spryzen’s turboblades without Shu noticing how Phi wa stargeting them since the beginning.
yeah, there was a lot of hints that shu could win the match but like you said it's not his destiny to take down the villain instead he is gonna help the person who's gonna take down him. I actually wished phoenix would make contact with the edge of stadium just like free did on lui in evolution iykyk

The way Phi got away in round 1 and win in round 2 was a huge plot armor for me.Bro did nothing actually and still managed to escape the burst situation and literally won the r2 by a small diff. Even in r3 Shu proved his resonance was a menace to break Phi's darkness but still he *somehow* reversed the wings.Even If you dont count r3 its still a plot armored fight.Shu used his most powerful attack in r1 and phoenix stood here doin' nothing bro like🥴
We’ll do you really think pheonix can just be burst just like that. That only shows how strong pheonix and phi are. Remember pheonix also has the Luther armour to protect it and it’s also a Defense type

@@raizqq well I guess their attack just wasn’t strong enough to burst him without hitting the ground. I mean phi never really had any plot armour, but maybe that one against shu is. But phi still deservedly and expectedly won

Well, times change. I ain’t calling you anything, and I understand your opinion, but Valt’s main story had ended mostly after Evolution.
There had to be someone new, and imo, Aiger was the right choice.
A wild child, quick thinker, and someone who’s been through a rougher patch than Valt, especially with the Corrupted Resonance arc
But if valt will remain the mc it will get boring real soon
I like that there’s different mcs as every blader is different and strong in their own way and yeah I agree that aiger was the best choice after valt as he’s essentially his opposite to some extent
I actually prefer Aiga (yes I prefer his Japanese name) over Valt. When you get into Rise, Surge, QD/QS, all the mc’s are similar to Valt in some aspects and Aiga is just different in terms of characterization and his overall arc in Turbo. He shows real growth in just one season. That’s impressive and I respect him for that.
