“You woke me up for this?” Best line! LOL!
I was gonna say that!!
Hillbilly is an enormous asset to you Robbie. He's a hard worker, knowledgable and has a good heart.
think you mounted the anchor backwards. it should angle backwards so it dig itself in as you winch.
you could modify it so the blade is on a hinge and you then have a pin to insert to lock it in the wanted direction.
then its easy use for front and rear winching.
in that case i would make the blade bigger too.
I was refraining from making that comment but yes the tooth on the stinger was pointing to hold against a front winch. Still sometimes you need both the stinger and the chocks when its belt and suspenders time so its a good thing they had both with them.
Best!
You would think a certified rigger would know that. Where were you on that one Colton..
Again !
Think you are correct
I think he's trolling people with it. He said something about it either in the comments or on video that he knows it's on backwards and maybe someday he'll turn it around. LOL
Pls give "King Fred" the much needed love he deserves! SOOOOON!
Ryker, your dad loves you so much, he turns into a dork on camera when you're around. Thanks for going with him bud, it makes me miss my dad, he would be a dork for me, and I'm about to cry just thinking about him.🥴
Me too man
wouldn't it be - Riker ?
Hey Robby and crew when you use the spade tilt the wheel lift all the way down and then lower it down, and if Fred still wants to slide back pick your boom up a bit. You still need to flip that spade around 😉
Robby my man they are not security guards! Correctional OFFICER'S sir! lol
100%
$10 on that tuesday the ground was extremely slick. The tracks look like the ground was soft and thats why the mazda was stuck
Yup, been in that situation myself! Drove into a field one day to camp when the ground was hard. Tried to leave the next morning, but between either dew, frost, or overnight thawing it was too slick to get out. Called a friend with a truck to help pull me out, and we took another car to a restaurant nearby to get food while we waited.
After we ate went back to the car, and by then the sun had been shining long enough to dry out and firm up the dirt enough I could just drive myself out.
Robbie. Turn the anchor on the wheel lift around and it will bire the earth better. Love your stuff.
it certainly looks like it would work better spun around doesnt it?
this is atleast the 3rd time on 2 videos i've seen this... This comment is only so maybe he sees it and does it? or maybe the boss just reminds him to do it.
@@SaltAirLiving The first time they used it on the F350 snow recovery, they commented saying they knew it was backwards but will keep it like that on purpose for the comments. hahaha
@@Paintbing1is right. It drives me nuts seeing it that way, but they're putting in on backward intentionally to get comments and boost the YT algorithm. And it's working, lol.
He’s trolling people like you ... plus, more engagement is good for yt ranking
I think I enjoyed the look on Robby's face a little to much when he was at a loss for words.
Same same! My wife & I went to high school together but she is 3 years younger than me, she was in the same year as my younger brother. We got together once she got school out the way, 2 kids 2 granddaughters later married now for 28 years. Fate is just awesome sometimes!
You have that digger(anchor) on that arm on backwards! Turn it around.
Robbie is a business genius! Use employees’ funds to pay for business costs! 😂
Having an extra emergency fuel can could come in handy on King Fred.
Definitely.
2 cans
He’s trolling, it's an act .. just like Matt does
Robby you missed a excellent selling point for Allen. You should have showed the damage on the costumers truck and pushed the Yankum shackles and ropes. SAFETY FIRST!
Great too see your son ,we need him filming all the time,he's a Layton!!! Dang straight we love our family members!!!go Layton go!!?love brother skinner.and family.
A good day with your son is always a great day.
9:32
A camera and your wife Demri is a "Camry"!!
Love it!!
That road was probably a slick mess when he got stuck with the car.
I know you have said you have the wheel lift anchor backwards on purpose for drama and comments, but do yourself, your staff, and the customers a favor and put it on the right way. King Fred is definitely stepping up to the challenge.
Robbie, Thank you for sharing your recoveries and builds, but the best part is that you include your family in everything you do! ROCKSTAR!!
You look after that family there is absolutely nothing more important than family I am 73 and now have a great grand daughter and they are so special
King Fred doing King Fred things
It should be the Bluenanna!
Still have the spade on the wheel lift the wrong way around I see, it will dig in and anchor way better if you turn it around ;)
We love your channel! I had an idea when you were talking about Adlee being upset about the naming contest for your Jeep. You should name it Deja Dori since in the movie she has trouble remembering things. It would keep your little girl happy also.
Robby, I think your spade on your wheel lift needs to be turned around, so that when you pull on the stuck vehicle it digs in towards the stuck vehicle for better grip.
So this is where Dave got the idea to build his winch rig
No. These winches on skidsteer have been around for years.
I 100% believe todays youth needs these experiences getting woke up early on the weekends and during summer break having to go to work with my dad on weekends and summer break roofing and doing siding and windows definitely helped teach me a great work ethic
You know it! I was fortunate to be farm raised. Although I didn't realize it at the time I was developing a work ethic and learning responsibility that would become just as valuable for success as my college degree.
I would second the Harbor Freight recommendation and become the Inside Track Member and watch the specials. I have turned my shop into a Harbor Freight store.
Im sure several people have already commented on this but King Fred's anchor plate is backwards.
"Dad, you woke me up for this?" HA!
You woke me up for this ???? Hilarious
Hey Robbie, sorry for bringing this up but it looks like your refrigerator shrunk your shirt😂
Eureka Utah, a town where the men are proud, but the sheep are nervous 😉
Fread says it all, handsome, rugged, good looking durability! Dem old Ford's are tougher than my wife's cooking!!boiled air.geter done son. Go fread go!! Fread for vice president.
Thanks for the answer! I've seen too many memes about Harbor Freight to trust their jack stands, but I'll start there for everything else, haha
Memes are one thing but ever seen any lawsuits?
If you can set the block on the lift facing towards the back it will actually dig in as you back up.
16.18 if you turn the blad 180 degre, it digs more in, i think
Great video. That motor home was truly stuck! Can't believe the customer broke so much and damaged his pickup before calling you. Sounds like something I would have done. LOL!! "I can do it myself"!!! There are times when we just need to call a professional!!!
Would the anchor work better if it was turned around?
yes, but that wouldn't generate comments so this works better
Rally driving the Mazda at the end lol.
Robby.... Tacos!!!!!
California Tacos!!!!!
My son and I embarked on a Coast to Coast Jeep trip a few years ago and on our journey, we picked up a nail in a tire.... Google Maps lead us to Beaver , UT... while tire was being replaced, ( they actually had a matching tire ) , we walked down the street to this place called the Flying J. Its like a travel stop truck stop place.....we went inside, turned to our left and there it twas.....
VALERIES TACOS........AHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I give it a 5......and it's a solid 4 on line.....
And try the red sauce......and the taquitos....
It's fantastic.....just wish it was not in a truck stop.
We go to Moab every year for EJS..this year sucked.....but we also make the drive over just for Valerie's Tacos....
Stupid good......food...
The soft shackle that broke mold exactly like the one that snapped on that guys Bronco that sent the kinetic rope through his windshield.
“Buy once, cry once” is the way to go when it comes to recovery gear
I actually told the Rv owner that and to look up the video!! Spend the money on quality!!! Stay alive!!
Love your channel Robbie, you doing way good. You're giving everybody way. Good advice.
King Fred saves the day!
Agree with @MrLarsgren - your anchor device looks like it's mounted backward! It should dig deeper the harder you pull.
I absolutely FN love this channel. Just down to earth peeps we can relate with. Bobby is a sweetheart.
I am definitely biased towards Déjà Bleu for the french wording... or Deja Blue.. but when your daughter says Dory the Explory... then there is no further discussion...case is closed 😂🤣😂 Family time is CRITICAL for long term survival... 🙂 the road is probably in much better condition than it was when they abandoned the car.... 🙂
Robbie I'm tempted to go get stuck in Utah so I can meet you 3 guys. If I'm lucky maybe the boss will be there. You 3 guys are the coolest ever. Thanks for your videos. Recovery's Rock
29:45 If you download Google offline maps to your phone, you can use them while you have no service. I keep several offline maps on my phone, maps for areas I frequent. You can search for locations, use pins, and navigate like always.
[Edit: I swear I paused the video and dropped that comment before I continued and heard your comments at 30:20.]
Question for your next Q & A, question for Colton... Did you work at San Juan Mine?
On the wrench line if you oil the cable it will last a lot longer and not rust up. Old oilfield hand.
Glad to see you took some time with your family!!
Hey! That’s a pretty cool dash mat. You should flip it over so we can see what’s on it!😜
P.S. if you ever need help in the weekends and wanna give your guys a break I’d love to come help with recovery….. I’m not too far away. 29:40
Hmmm ... IDT Robby answered the " Hillbilly " question right . Where is Hillbilly from originally ? Kentucky , Alabama , or is Hillbilly born and raised in Utah . Great job with this recovery ! Hillbilly is a great asset !
If you flip your wheel lift pads side to side with the points downward it will also work as a great anchor for that little wrecker
Yep , you need to turn the safety spade around on King Fred.
You all great job on the camper it went well. Nice to see Ricker help out Daddy. Daddy, it was all Ricker's help. Daddy remember it helps to get an easy one once in a while.
“Another day in paradise” - no, Paradise, UT is way up north in Cache County.
As a skidsteer operator, you always back a skidsteer uphill, especially steep hills.
That "interview" you sat through down in Florida with Matt and Rory was super painful to watch. I felt so bad that you were ignored. Please tell us about how you were able to maintain your cool. You're a class act, Robby.
It's easy unless you have a weak mind that can't control your swollen ego. What, did you expect him to throw a temper tantrum or something?😂
Why stir up crap. All was good
You missed a perfect, Cher "If I could turn back time" moment, it's still in my head, thanks.
Great motor home recovery. That 1 was awesome. The second one well, the people just don't know their car. But that's okay, Robby got to spend time with the son. 😊
That stinger's spade is backwards. Turn that around and it'll do a much better job. Great video though.
Jimmy Buffet another day in paradise
yup not all recoveries are hard. after 3-4 days the ground could have dried up or snow melted to make it easy. likely the road was slimey as heck and he couldn't get up the hill
You still should turn that anchor around so it would work better.
Love a good recovery video. Do not like a sanding video.
26:00: Seeing Hillbilly pull up to the taco place in the old Ford tow truck just right…
Robby i watch your vid's all the time, Ok but if i'm not mistaken i 'm thinkin your anchor is mounted backwards. The blade should be angled to the rear so it digg's in.
Nice to spend some quality time with time with your son Robby. Robby, Colton and Ryker for the save 🤙😎
Robbie you definitely are a recovery expert
This is the best editing I think I have seen in your videos. Keep this editor.!!
Robbie you guys made that look so easy
LOOKING GOOD!
Use the front receiver and pull from it and put the dirt spade in the correct position so it digs in properly
2nd amendment = freedom. Never forget!
Excellent recoverys guys
How many kids do you have Robbie? Seen the two little ones, now Ryker, thought there was a Michael too?
If The Boss was with you on this recovery she would have told you your anchor was on backwards on the boom .lol
Colton is getting good at talking on the videos. Glad he joined the Team
Thanks for sharing !
Horchada is amazing...Watch those fruity jackets, they will get you in trouble... She's a beut Clark... Clean recovery. Quality entertainment!!!!
Thank you Robby and crew for the adventure and seeing some beautiful scenery !
Thanks for the insights
My wife was my younger sisters friend been together for 46 years married 44 years this July it's been a real adventure
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Not everything on Amazon is junque, including Yankum ropes, which are sold on Amazon..DOH!
When you guys redo King Fred, maybe you could add outriggers in the back similar the ones on Dave Sparks' HET wrecker. The stinger just doesn't seem to be enough to hold old Fred still, even with the ground anchor attachment.
Good recoveries! Thanks for the video!
Such beautiful places you guys visit!Wow!
Adlie made the right choice, That Jeeps name was Dory the Explory as soon as it was mentioned in my mind!
Pretty easy recoveries, be thankful you have days like that! Catch you on the next ✌️ 😊.
Robbie loose wait and stay healthy
I use to do tech support for computers and many times it wasn't a problem with the computer. The problem was between the seat and the keyboard. Same is true with "broken down vehicles" the problem is not the car. The problem is between the seat and the steering wheel.
Always a fun time! Flip the spade around.... It would dig in sooooooo much better.
Good to See You Fella’s
Colton really does fit in nicely with the team. Great recovery, everyone.
