  • I'm excited to announce that we will close #mayh25 with a very special unreleased live video of CREDENCE.
I've been planning this for so long - years, in fact - and it's a dream and privilege to have had the opportunity to work on this for all of us.
A few fun facts to set the scene:
    - This is the My Arms, Your Hearse lineup's best ever performance of this track - no contest. Mikael, Peter, Mendez, and Lopez are all on top form. And the crowd is incredible.
    - This footage has been compiled from a number of video and audio sources from Opeth's show in Montreal on January 17th, 2003 - most of which has never been shared before (even in the trading community).
    - The audio source was respectfully edited and mastered to showcase every member of the band at their best.
    - I made this. Every shot, every cut, every edit, and every tone was chosen carefully. Without exaggeration, every split second was curated. It took an exceptional amount of work. But I have no regrets. This is a labour of love, all done by one person.
The end result is a unique tribute that is worthy of the band. A video that no one else in the world has ever seen, and one that I hope other fans will equally appreciate. My final anniversary celebration of one of my favourite albums of all time. This is my personal thanks to Opeth for 25 years of My Arms, Your Hearse.
Mikael Åkerfeldt - vocals and guitar
    Peter Lindgren - guitar
    Martin Mendez - bass
    Martin Lopez - drums
    #opeth #heavymetal #metal #prog #progmetal #progressivemetal #deathmetal #sweden #music #myarmsyourhearse #martinlopez
P.S. This is only intended to be a celebration and promotion of Opeth, and the video will (as always) never be monetized. If the band, management, or their families / friends have any concerns or issues, please email me (at my Gmail account) and I'll be happy to take it down. Thanks.

Amazing, thanks so much for this!
I like to think that when Lopez looks at Mendez at 4:52 he smiles because he knows they are at their best.

Man when I was like 17 working with my dad, one job we had to drive to the city everyday and I would play credence into karma on repeat on my iPad. This song is one of my favorites too and always brings those memories back when I hear it. Thanks karst, you rock.

Why the hell we can not get something like that. For those who think we need growl, There is no f*cking growl here and it’s f*cking prog. What the hell happened to Mikael. We had more mature music in the past than now. Really frustrating

mikael's writing is more mature than ever, that tends to happen with age.

@@theyescapedtheweightofdarkness 🤣🤣🤣 how do you seriously want to convince me that The Ward and Spring MCMSHIT is more mature than Face Of Melinda, A Fair Judgement or the entire Damnation ?

@@timmypagee sad and melancholic doesn't necessarily mean mature, also just because you dont like it doesn't mean it's immature. not sure why you expect anyone to agree with your opinion on maturity because you just responded to me like a child. an actually mature person would hear out the opinions of others and not immediately try to put them down

@@theyescapedtheweightofdarkness Sorry for offending you with an emoticon. I don't play these personal attack games though. start by not looking down on people by treating them like kids. when we don't have something intelligent to say, staying silent is a Quality. That being said, you must be a NewOpeth fan alway as arrogant. Good luck with the Mikael Akerfeldt's solo project that you find more mature than ever. With some songs from the last 4 albums, I'm ashamed to say that it's Opeth in term of composition, melodies, musical inspiration and it's the same one who composed Harlequin Forest, When or a Fair Judgment, I'll let you listen to The Ward and SpringMCM if you find that they are mature than what Mikael did before, good luck with your musical tastes and specially with your definition of maturity. Cheers

@@timmypagee you cant even "apologise" without underlying sarcasm and arrogance. I didn't say you personally attacked me either, you just insulted what i said, and when i call you out you act all high and mighty (and apparently i'm the one that looks down on people now ?) and still dont even bother to ask why i feel maturity in those newer opeth albums. i also didn't say they were better (at least sorceress isnt) than any metal opeth albums. i dont wanna waste my time on this conversation anymore. i dont like to end conversations on a bad note so have a good day
