A worthy interpretation of one of the great Metal epics. Wonderful playing throughout, some tasteful additions, and the inclusion of female vocals was inspired (8:55). Respect!

Thank you! indeed, it is not English, but Swedish. The lyrics, based on my personal interpretation, talk about the protagonist's heart-break and loneliness after his loved one's death. I wanted to have the spirit/ghost/mental idea of the deceased love repeat the beautiful verse - "I have kept it, the Amaranth symbol...", so it's that, with a minor alteration - "*You* have kept it...". That's what it is 🙂
Absolutely phenomenal interpretation of Opeth's epic, the interpretation of the calm part before the 2nd solo is simply majestic!
Thank you, much appreciated!
Wow what a find! Brilliant work on this obscure gem. Opeth is life. ❤

P.S. You should put a bandcamp link in the video description.
Thank you for your heart-warming words!
@@laufgast6143 My pleasure. Do you have any other music in the works?

Awesome cover/re-imagination! 😙👌🏻Something I’ve dreamt Opeth would do.. but I totally understand why Mikael wouldn’t.
I don’t know why I stoped the original version and listing this cover everyday

What an amazing piece of cover! But can we learn what is said in the spoken part? It doesn't sound like English.
