You are on point about Oasis. Noel Gallagher is credited as a songwriter, even though he is not actually a songwriter on this song. He just gave permission for the same Oasis chords to be used. Noel Gallagher who hates everyone and everything new, actually did this for Louis. He never does that, this is huge.

Both Louis and harry has written all their owns songs for their albums, Liam had other people write for him, I feel like that kinda says it all...

There was a massive fan movement asking all youtubers and social media influencers to stream and react to Walls, because Louis' fans feel as though his management team doesn't do enough to promote him. For example, if you were not already a fan of his, you probably wouldn't have even KNOWN this song was released because there was no promo for it. So we spent the entire week leading up to the release messaging tons of people to try to spread the word!!

@@lololee24 Well, a lot of Louis' fans are also huge Harry fans TBH (there's a very long and in depth story there that I'm not gonna get into), and I think the MAJORITY of the fans are perfectly okay with what's happening, but the thing is that the one's who aren't ok with it are extremely vocal about it and I agree, it's disgusting. Harry has done a lot to show that he loves and supports all of his fans, and for people to say he's disrespecting them because of ONE performance is unfair. The performance is a MASSIVE opporitunity for him and it also pisses me off that people are giving him a hard time about it.

i was TERRIFIED that you wouldn't like him omg i'm so relieved that you do. louis is one of the most interesting people out there to me, he is a superb lyricist, conveys emotion like no one else, has a really unique voice, and he has a vulnerability that very few artists, let alone men, are confident in showing. you should check out his other singles before the album comes out (especially his older singles, because he's changed his sound quite a bit since then and it's interesting to see the way he's explored his style before finding something that felt authentic to him)

The album Walls, coming out January 31st, is actually his debut. The song Walls is the last single of the album (the others are Two of Us, Kill My Mind, We Made It and Don't Let It Break Your Heart). If you want to react to his singles I'd recommend you do it in this order, because the last three videos tell a continuous story. Also, he himself says that one of his biggest inspiration is Oasis and in fact he asked Noel Gallagher if he could put him in the songwriting credits for this song (because of some similarities with another Oasis song), and Noel agreed and approved of the song ;)

He is lyrically so good it’s amaze me, he literally put is heart in his lyrics. It’s always honest. He had some really deep bad things that happened to him( losing his mother and one of his sisters) but always so strong, He did one song for the grief of his mother “two of us” it’s really really good you should listen. It’s his first album he tooks him a long time to understand that he needs do to music he loves and not music based on what’s on the radio at the moment. Great reaction 😁 I would suggest two of us by Louis. It’s a very moving but inspirational song about his mother who passed away in 2016. The song lyrically is beautiful and was released just a week before his sister suddenly passed away too. Just to give you a little background on the meaning of the song 😊. For something more uptempo I’d suggest Miss you and Kill my mind. Thanks for the video 👍🏼

You were spot on about the Oasis sound. Louis mentions them every interview as one of the bands he was most influenced by. His debut album is coming out the 31st of January and all of his singles from the album so far have this kind of "old times indie sound" though they are all quite different. I always loved Louis' lyrics so I think all of his songs are worth a listen, but his sound changed quite a lot since his first few solo stuff that were more electronic and pop radio-friendly, but what he puts out now is the sound he wants to go for in the future. And if I should choose one of his songs that everyone should hear, it's definitely Two Of Us, so I suggest you give it a listen.
I think his voice has always been kind of alternative and I think it suits his style so well. He's an amazing person and a great lyricist, I really hope this album is successful and that he feels satisfied.
Yes!!! I totally agree. We see so many Female artist that doing so well in alternative like Lana del Rey, Billie and Lorde but not so many male artist that doing well in alternative. I really glad he finally found his true sound.
Yes, Louis has taken this whole time since the 1D 'hiatus' to find his sound. He did collabs with Steve Aoki and Bebe Rexha. The one with Steve was his first ever solo song 'Just Hold On'. He performed it live on the X-Factor Finale 2 days after his mother's death. What courage he had to do that. First time ever performing solo since 1D and to do it live. His song with Bebe was 'Back To You'. His music has changed with what he's released over the last few years but he's finally figured out his sound and realized that he just needed to make what he wanted and let the chips fall, so to say. Instead of chasing radio. I'd love for you to listen to what he's released so far. The album is finally coming out on 1/31/20. His songs so far are 'Just Hold On', 'Back To You', 'Miss You', 'Two of Us', 'Kill my Mind', 'We Made It', 'Don't let it break your Heart', 'Walls'.

His debut album is coming out on January 31st and his team doesn’t do much promo. They haven’t done much for any of his singles either so the fans do a lot of it.
Louis is so talented and if you do check out One Direction’s music you will see that he wrote a lot of their songs. The boys starting writing their own songs by their third album and then heavily with the fourth and fifth.
This is such an emotional song and the lyrics really hit hard. ‘Nothing wakes you up like waking up alone’ ....amazing! Louis has such a unique voice and it was his voice that drew me to One Direction. It’s raspy and so soothing but he can rock out so I hope you will check out more of his work. He’s the best song writer who had written most of their hit songs while in 1D now he’s doing his solo stuff and being best. Thank you so much for this hope you can react to his album on jan 31
What was called 'Brit-pop' was around in the early nineties here in the UK, which is when Oasis came about amongst others and never really went away over here (though I guess the 'fad' wore off elsewhere), but his sound is basically a northern English sound, especially Yorkshire since that's where he's from, and he remains true to us all and does our culture justice through his music and his attitude. He stands out as well since not much gets through from our area of the UK that is true to itself and not twisted for convenience, his voice and his accent the same as it ever was and unique to him, so it's really good that he's putting it out there.
One Direction all auditioned as solo artists, so even from the start they all came from different backgrounds and were into different things, which is probably one of the things that helped bring them all together and made them stand out, that plus they wrote a lot of their songs (Louis and Harry did the most, I believe), had more freedoms than previous bands like them in terms of what was seen on stage (I'm sure no so much behind the scenes, but that's another story), and they got on really well together, which showed in their music and performances - the people backstage take the credit, but it was never theirs to take.
Honestly, it's taken him two years to get this album out, and it's not just because of personal set-backs, it's because he's been held back by the people who are supposed to be promoting him, getting him out there more, etc., plus so much negative rubbish in the media that's been put there by the people who're supposed to be there to support him, so I think a lot of people will be surprised at what he's achieved when the album does its rounds.
I'm crying because Louis' music skill is being genuinely appreciated. Thank you. 😘

Just wanted to point out that Louis has changed his sound, he tried chase the radio but he didn't feel authentic. Since the release of Two Of Us, a very special song, he followed his heart and influences growing up to create his songs. Kill My Mind, We Made it, Don't Let it Break Your Heart and now Walls are part of his new era/sound. I'm glad you liked his voice and work. 💗

Louis has many different songs and you can get an overall good idea of his style if you listen to Kill my Mind and Two of Us. ( In fact I would recommand watching Two of Us lyrics videos. It’s unusual to recommand the lyrics video over the MV but for me the lyrics video for that one is incredible...)

Now that you are introduced to Louis I hope you react to his album or singles. Two of Us and Walls are my fave. In my opinion Louis writes beautifully, his lyrics are meaningful. His 1st few songs He said he was looking for a place in the radio but now that he is releasing an album he manages to make music that he loves and not caring if it is "radio friendly" as long as he is true to his identity as a musician and he his mostly inspired by Oasis or genre on that era so you are on point with that. Also another information He actually wrote most of the 4th and 5th album of 1D 😁 Thanks for taking time to react on his song I hope this is not the last.

Hi Steven. Thank you for this! At 3:05 I noticed that you enjoyed hearing Louis' accent come through when he said, "Hur'in who you love." I adore his accent, and I believe he's the One Direction member whose accent comes through most when he sings. For this reason, in addition to his new music, I absolutely LOVE an earlier song Louis did called "Miss You." In Miss You, he sings some of my absolute favorite Louis lines of all, with a heavy Doncaster accent. It is a sad song, but so fun and delightful to listen to. I think you'll really enjoy it, especially the music video!!!!!
