Great video and insight . I came back 4 weeks ago , after 2 weeks in Thailand, under test and go. I came to Phuket for days 3 to 8. Like you I was anxious about the tests, especially day 5 .I glad they now dropped that day 5 test. I felt it put the holiday on hold until all clear. Went to Krabi , had great time there ..way more chilled than Phuket. Enjoy your adventures. Heading to phillippines in April, only one pre arrival PCR test required. Takecare
Thanks Allan. From what I've read, you still have to do an ATK test on day 5, so at least it's cheaper than a PCR... Still sounds stressful though. We went to Krabi for the first time on this trip and really liked it there too. Great news about the Philippines, beautiful country - enjoy and happy travels Allan!

How wonderful a time you had. Indeed not a punishment at all. I only now Phuket from the 90's. My daughter spent time as employee at the famous Club Med consortium. Hi Ryan. Fantastic videos your putting out. Recently discovered your channel and have kinda binge watched many of your past videos over the last couple of weeks. Your cinematography and photo shots, angles, transitions mixing and of course your narration etcetera is a real pleasure to watch and listen to. Kudos man, keep up the good work! I lived in Thailand for 20 years from 1998 to 2018, and have been to all corners of the country, some places multiple times, but often would go at low season or weekdays, and try as much to be a contrarian to avoid the crowds. Going off the beaten path to less touristic places was also a passion for me. I live on a small island in the Philippines now , which you actually visited in your past videos ( Remember Binocut Beach? Sure you do.) I will travel back to Thailand soon hopefully to visit friends and eat the awesome Thai food, which I often get cravings for , such as somtam and countless other dishes. For now however, I will sit here and be transported back to The Land of Smiles by watching your videos. Your there at the perfect time, it as if you have gone back 20 or 30 years before the tourist hordes stormed the beaches. It is heartbreaking for the locals in the tourist industry and the same thing has happened hear on the nearby island beach resort of Boracay. Things will get better once the governments drop this kabuki show and wake up. Wishing you all the best for your travels and lifestyle changes. Be happy!
