Steve, this is superb. I'm a former broadcast engineer and your design, build, LABELING, documentation are all excellent. You claim you're not an engineer, but I would argue that the way you attack the problem is exactly the way a good engineer would. I hope in future videos we can hear and see a waterfall demonstration of the S/N as well. 73 OM

Indeed I have been struggling with how to present "live" SNR examples on a UA-cam video. Certainly I can record easy enough, the challenge is to capture an A/B comparison to show how enhanced directivity improves SNR.
Live recording can be very dynamic.
This is on my "to-do-list"

Thanks again Steve. I would be interested in seeing how the KMTronic relay units compare with the Denkovi. I took a severe close lightning hit that damaged my Denkovi board this past Summer, killing my usb ports on the main computer. As you stated, there were some suffer points along the way getting the Denkovis configured. Boxes on the LAN may be a better solution. ~N8UX

For sure going with the ethernet boards makes life much simpler. Set-up is very easy, and if I change PCs, I don't need to do anything....those IP addys remain the same.
Only problemo....those KMtronic boxes 'aint cheap. I have aske YO3DMU a few times about adding the Denkovi LAN boards to his program, but no response. The ethernet Denkovi boards are much more affordable.
@@ve6wz I agree, they are a lil pricier. But then again the PCBs from JLC are SO much cheaper than Oshpark (I was reluctant to take my business to BY land, but it's what it is). I have been using PSTrotator also, but if I could just get to the switch from the lan, or internet via port forwarding to the lan ip, the manufacturers app would probably be fine for my purposes. And re: the 2n5109, I also went to a similar DCP68 design, and found it to work just fine. Thanks again for your videos.
