- Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) helps newcomers learn English and assists them in the settlement process and integration into Canadian society.
Part-time and full-time classes are available year-round, and some sites also offer evening and weekend classes. All locations provide Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) - for ages 19 months to 6 years - while parents are attending classes.
The LINC program is open to all newcomers who meet the following criteria:
- landed immigrant (not a Canadian citizen or visitor)
- or convention refugee (not a refugee claimant)
- 18 years of age or older
