Same...and I'm a little disappointed that the "pop" wasn't bigger. Every time I do a Pillsbury or similar dough can, it's like dynamite, and my reactions are ridiculous, so I was hoping Nick would be my sibling in that. Alas...maybe he can try Grands next time. ;)
I have this whole silly process for popping biscuit cans, wrapping it up in a clean dish towel and sliding my hand under to carefully peel off the paper while holding it tightly to prevent a big pop...
You are hysterically funny! I can't decide if I like it when you jump or your impromptu "clapper board" the best. On tonight's menu .... "Matteos in a blanket!" Thanks for the videos! @@NickSmith09
The cooking show we didn't know we needed ♥ And side note, Britney performed at a half time with Aerosmith, NSYNC, Mary J Blige, and Nelly like 20 years ago, all singing Walk This Way together.
I normally have my husband open the biscuit containers for me. Also champagne bottles and ginger beer bottles. I was so proud of Nick being so blasé about it.
I have the same air fryer and the outlet thing happened to me too. 67 year old former new Yorker here. Subscribed today. I am claiming you as another grand child ❤❤❤❤
It's true, Madonna loves pigs in a blanket. Oddly enough, she also calls them Matteos in blankets. Love the thumbnail. The air fryer seems perfect for you, Nick. Gotta say, that really looked like the first time you'd seen the inside of a tomato. 😂❤
It’s my favorite time of the day: chaos cooking with Nick! 🖤🖤 I give about as much of an eff about the footsball as Nick does lol “here for the snacks” Omg had to edit as I watch: literally named my dog Fancy from the Reba song. Found her tied up to a pole outside of my restaurant. So I took her home and I said “here’s your one chance little doggy, don’t let me down!” And it was like UH, DUH! Fancy!
Soooo interesting to see the cultural differences across the pond - here in the UK we also have pigs in blankets, but they're small sausages (typically chipolatas) wrapped in bacon and usually served at Christmas!
Nick, I love your awesome cooking skills...I'm right there with you! You got me, I just subscribed and am looking forward to more of your great content! PS - You and Matteo at Olive Garden had me in stitches! I was laughing so hard it brought tears!
Tip for next time you’re feeling adventurous and want to cut tomatoes: use a serrated knife like a steak knife or bread knife, it’s marginally less messy
After a co-worker told me about microwaved nachos, I'll never go back. Just put them in for 30-45 seconds for a small plate (maybe a bit longer for more). They come out perfect (the oven can burn them a little by the time the cheese melts). Hint of Lime ones are really good and some of my favourite toppings are red onions and olives.
I thought I was semi-pro in the kitchen but Nick’s Mateos in a blanket is the recipe I make for SB every other year. I’m glad someone else is also not a salsa person - thought it was just me.
I would serve the salsa with the nachos and bought a different chip, maybe potato chips and made a simple dip like sour cream with a packet of onion soup mix stirred in. Also, the pigs in a blanket would be great with a honey mustard sauce (literally, honey and mustard mixed together). You're welcome!
Nick, you look like you eat to live. It’s kind of funny to watch you make food because I don’t think you like food very much. But maybe I’m wrong. I love watching you make food and talk with your friends. It is a blast. Thank you for sharing all of this with us.
This is so hilarious. The fact that it's timestamped with tags like, "nachos", is so funny to me 😂😂😂. The single tomato and the can of salsa? I can't. So good. ❤
I feel very foolish watching this video because I never realized how easy it was to make what we've taken to calling "Porks in a Shroud" around here...I might have to try it, therefore--thanks, Nick! :)
Omg Nick you made me so hard when you made that joke about many weiners! Right ladies! Thank you so much for all the laughter! Ive watched everything you have put out on UA-cam!! ❤️
was winding down last night when this was posted so watched just now. nick😂 thankyou =] those crescent rolls look so fun and helpful, would maybe even roll just some cheese (and tomatoes) into them instead of the matteos coz i try to be vegetarian as much as possible
I felt like i was helplessly watching a horror movie when Nick grabbed the dough can and started to twist.... I physically put my hands to my eyes when he went at the tomato, until i realized it wasnt serrated and no one was in actual danger lol. You are the best Nick! Tho shame on you for not remembering Prince and the Jlo/Shakira combo was clearly the 1a and 1b of superbowl halftimes :)
Yeahhhh…as someone from Kansas City, MO ,The Chiefs (who play at Arrowhead Stadium 😓) really did squeak by with not being cancelled for their name somehow. Likely the recent superbowl winnings tbh
The subway sandwich “Tough Dodger” triathlon was by far my favorite superbowl advertisement. 😂 I will definitely pay in cash over the weekend and insist on getting a quarterback ❤ I love the I Dream of Jennie clapboard 🎬 that Nick does! Signature move.
Nick this was your best "cooking" video yet! You did a great job! ❤ I have to say the face you made eating that salsa was as bad or worse than eating those lamb/goat balls. 😂 Thanks for thinking of us and giving us sophisticated recipes! 😊
Next year....easy guacamole. Get your avocados. Get a can of Herdez Salsa Casera. Pick your heat. Mash avocados, add pepper, garlic salt and a bit of lemon juice. Get a slotted spoon and add chunky part of salsa.
You can do the same thing with the salsa adding onion or finely chopped jalapeños. Tomatoes in winter from the grocery store are practically cardboard. You should watch and react to In Living Color “Men on Football” half time show from 25 years ago.
Is that a bamboo wooden spoon I see in your utensil holder?!? Bamboo spoons are great. And so are those Dad Jokes!!! Here’s one for ya… “What blue but smells like red paint?” BLUE PAINT!! 😂😂
Hi Nick, enjoyed your video, as I do all of them. You should be expecting not only Food Network to get in touch with you, but also Comedy Central. Love your content.
I never thought to use the Hint of Lime flavor chips for nachos, I always just buy those to eat with guacamole. Nachos using Doritos are amazing, though!
Nick, You cook the hotdogs in crescent rolls as long as the crescent roll package says on the can. They cleverly hide that information under "directions".
Not Mateo in a blanket!!! OH NOOOOO!!! hahaha. Leave it to Nick to make the MOST POSSIBLY BASIC snacks ever!!!! hahaha and me here loving watching him do it!
The San Francisco 49ers are named after the prospectors who arrived in Northern California in 1849 during the Gold Rush. The term "49ers" refers to the people who migrated to California from 1848-1849 in search of gold. In 1849, more than 100,000 people, mostly men, traveled to the region, and were dubbed “the 49ers.”
I love the rockin' tunes TM in the background. That sounds like I'm being sarcastic. It's actually the realization that I am very much a middle-aged lady.
Gotta love some good old American football food from a shining example of heterosexual masculinity
🤣🤣🤣
My favorite part of the mascsculine energy is where the men wear really tight outfits, grab eachother a lot, and play with balls a lot.
The testosterone is flowing
I fully expected Nick to let out a startled scream when the dough can popped😆
Same...and I'm a little disappointed that the "pop" wasn't bigger. Every time I do a Pillsbury or similar dough can, it's like dynamite, and my reactions are ridiculous, so I was hoping Nick would be my sibling in that. Alas...maybe he can try Grands next time. ;)
I was waiting for it to happen!
The first time I didn't jump at something😂

"I have a sophisticated palette. Pigs in the blanket are done! Is the funniest transition
"Matteo in a Blanket"!! LOL! You are relentless!
Pigs in the blanket will now always be Matteo in a blanket to me 😂🎉
Oh my God. Nick trying to cut that tomato! What are those?? Seeds! Caviar! 😂😂😂😂😂
The ✨Pro Tip! ✨across the screen before cutting a tomato and dumping it in a bowl is so perfect 😂😂
😂
Watching you perform "stupid dad jokes" is the best entertainment out there!
Sometimes I think I’m hopeless in the kitchen but then I see Nick and I feel a little better about myself :)
The cooking show we didn't know we needed ♥ And side note, Britney performed at a half time with Aerosmith, NSYNC, Mary J Blige, and Nelly like 20 years ago, all singing Walk This Way together.
She needed her own show though
Agreed, should use all your new clout from these videos to make it happen. @@NickSmith09
The fright I imagined when Nick opened that croissant can...I was holding my breath.
I normally have my husband open the biscuit containers for me. Also champagne bottles and ginger beer bottles. I was so proud of Nick being so blasé about it.
Omg, Nick’s “Hwwhat?” reaction to learning a bit about tinfoil killz me 😂
lol @ Nick doing the beauty product background hand on food products! Love you Nick!
Every time, every video! I love it 🥹
The tomato as set dressing is just about perfect.
"and I have a sophisticated pallete'' 😂😂
Nick Smith with an air fryer is the new Barefoot Contessa and I’m all for it.
I love your profile picture!!
O.M.G. “Matteo in a blanket” new official name of that appetizer!
Petition to have a video where Nick sings opera with Matteo. 🙏🏻
If I get to 100k subs I'll sing opera in a video!
Hey Nick. You said you would sing opera at 50K subscribers! What’s going on???
I have the same air fryer and the outlet thing happened to me too. 67 year old former new Yorker here. Subscribed today. I am claiming you as another grand child ❤❤❤❤
I'm continually impressed by Nick. Seriously, I would never have thought you could do any of these things and yet, you're fantastic!! 👏 Bravo
"Pro Tip!" 🤣🤣🤣
It's true, Madonna loves pigs in a blanket. Oddly enough, she also calls them Matteos in blankets. Love the thumbnail. The air fryer seems perfect for you, Nick. Gotta say, that really looked like the first time you'd seen the inside of a tomato. 😂❤
This music and Nick, what a weird mix.
😂
My brain can not wrap itself around it!!
49er refers to the 1849 California Gold Rush.
Thanks, I didn't know that. I thought maybe they were from the 49th state to join the union. (Canadian here. 😁 🇨🇦)
Yep. It actually started in northern California in 1848, but by the time word got out, it was a year later.
in the UK "pigs in blankets" are little sausages wrapped in bacon. SO GOOD!
I pray that Nick is Food Network's new Semi Homemade. I would buy cable for it.
It’s my favorite time of the day: chaos cooking with Nick! 🖤🖤 I give about as much of an eff about the footsball as Nick does lol “here for the snacks”

Bacon!? Yum!
Making a food he does not like, then almost heaving while trying said food - is also classic Nick.
And his hair is somehow perfect. I want Nick in a period piece, the 1920s, hell even Victorian era.
Also collapsed when you said you had a sophisticated palette!!!
Nick, I love your awesome cooking skills...I'm right there with you! You got me, I just subscribed and am looking forward to more of your great content! PS - You and Matteo at Olive Garden had me in stitches! I was laughing so hard it brought tears!

Yes, a serrated knife will change your life.
I don't think I'll be cutting tomatoes again but this is noted!😂
Be careful with serrated knife they could really cut your finger. You need a paring knife for tomatoes.
After a co-worker told me about microwaved nachos, I'll never go back. Just put them in for 30-45 seconds for a small plate (maybe a bit longer for more). I love how he puts his palm as a background for everything! 😂 you can tell this dude watched a lot of makeup tutorials 😄
Whe n you were riffing at the end I couldn't help but think of Bob from Schitts Creek, the whole delivery was perfect! Much love from Napa.
Nick is the SB snack we all needed.
I felt like i was helplessly watching a horror movie when Nick grabbed the dough can and started to twist.... I physically put my hands to my eyes when he went at the tomato, until i realized it wasnt serrated and no one was in actual danger lol.

I love that this reminds me of a clip from The Real World. This is amazing.
I love that I just procrastinated work for 14 minutes to watch Nick cut a tomato for the first time. Worth it
😂
Fabulous job! You had me at Matteos in the Blanket. I couldn't care less about the game either. 😂❤
The tomato cutting got me gal hahaa

I am just loving the music selection for this video Nick
"Nick's Neat Eats" The next big Food Channel Hit...
I appreciate the simplicity.
P.S. Cut tomato with a serrated knife.
Great video. Of course the best part of Super Bowl Sunday is the SNACKS. Next year make ribs!

Anyone else think it would be awesome to see nick do fencing, axe-throwing, or paintball? That would be fun in my mind😁
are you trying to kill him? Matteo had to help him up the stairs after his own hair surgery rofl
My favorite Stuporbowl commercials are the Heinz one with the dachshund stampede 🌭 and the Budweiser with the donkey who aspires to be a Clydesdale. 🐴
I absolutely love these videos Nick!!! 😂🙌
Lol fish eggs! Those chips are my new fave cuz I'd never had them before a week ago! I do make my salsa fresh though lol. 😂 Mine tastes magical 😋🪄✨✨
I’ve never hated yet loved someone more in my entire life. 😂😂😂😂 well done❤

Hi Nick, enjoyed your video, as I do all of them. You should be expecting not only Food Network to get in touch with you, but also Comedy Central. Love your content.
Stop it. I'm about to load my huge airfryer with chips and cheese! Looks sooo good! Love your videos so much!
I never thought to use the Hint of Lime flavor chips for nachos, I always just buy those to eat with guacamole. Nachos using Doritos are amazing, though!
Hint of lime chips are the way to go, I agree 💚
Always!
Agreed!
And don’t buy pre-shredded cheese if you can help it-it has a coating to prevent clumping in the package but it hampers its meltabilty some.
I don't know why I love this but I do. There's something comforting about this man doing normal things. What is going on?💜😋
Things I want to see Nick make:
-a pot of chili
-ramen
-dino nuggets and fries
Love you Nick!! you are so entertaining xo!
This is the best cooking show ever! ❤
Nick The blade 🔪skills are expert level ,another great episode Sir ❤👍
Right up there with Kendall Jenner 😂
We're all thinking we'd watch Britney do the half time show if she had those knives with her lol
Nick,
You cook the hotdogs in crescent rolls as long as the crescent roll package says on the can. They cleverly hide that information under "directions".
this is my comment to make this video look better for the algorithm. keep shining, your food is beautiful
❤️❤️
re: the salsa - I'd thought you'd be done with any spicy food for a while now, Nick ;)
Not Mateo in a blanket!!! OH NOOOOO!!! hahaha. Leave it to Nick to make the MOST POSSIBLY BASIC snacks ever!!!! hahaha and me here loving watching him do it!
Nick is that Flintstones cereal on top of your refrigerator? 😂😂
...yes😂
“Shout out Madonna I’m sure you’re watching” idk why this out of any of your comments got me🤣🤣🤣
Watching Nick “slice” a tomato with a pairing knife (not ideal) was so stressful! 😂 be careful Nick!
"Hint of Lime because -- honestly." - classic Nick.
AIR FRYER TIP
put it on the top left setting think it’s called “max crisp”
It’ll warm it up faster as in pre heat faster
Good job with the new Air fryer.😊 chicken wings are awesome in the AF.
I am SO here for Nick's air fryer journey ❤
Nick is so chaotic. I honestly thought the air fryer was going to explode. You don’t usually put aluminum foil in there.
I googled it 10 min prior and it said it was ok? Don't listen to me though, I'm a mess!
I like how you say tin foil. Lol. Matteo in a blanket 😅
Nick what product you use to style your hair ?
Matteos in a blanket 🤣
Great job Nick!
(But bad dad jokes, lol!)
Matteo Lane not being there to taste test is A CRIME LOL
The beauty guru holding of all the items especially the chips 😂
As usual, another great video
The salsa portion was incredible 😂
No skill necessary, it’s for ppl like me, it’s for ppl like most of you watching 😂🤣 Matteo’s in a blanket 😂 love it
