Most of the times he gets things wrong are when a deal gets hijacked or something entirely out of his control happens (like barça nearly going bankrupt and not being able to register Messi, or when wijnaldum really was supposed to go tu Barcelona but psg doubled their offer)

Yeah I think it is harsh to criticize him too much for those mistakes, but the effect he has had on the transition of this sport in the recent years is still undeniable
And its not even "getting things wrong", its just the tide being changed, ...he reports the news as it comes, so if one day a player is going to one club and the deal is set to be finalized, he will report it how it is, if another club decides to come in a swoop for the player at the last moment, he will report it too,...that's just how football is, its unpredictable and his job is to relay the news
@@NitroFooty Those aren't "Mistakes" broski, its not a mistake if one day club A is about to sign a player and then another day club B comes in for the same player, its called COMPETITION, that's how the transfer market works🤨....sometimes 2 clubs want the same player and club "A" might first sit back and wait for club "B" to agree personal terms with a player, agree a fee and so on so that they can offer slightly more money and persuade the player to join them instead, that's not a mistake if Fabrizio reports it and it later changes, that's how the transfer market has always worked, even before Fabrizio was there to report it.💁♂🤷♂

Overall, FR is very reliable, but him leaking stuff makes it funny when I read for example the Bayern Munchen comments on the Olise Transfer, “ announce him already you idiots Fabrizio said it was confirmed” then the social media team responds, “What do you think we’re doing”. Patience has really gone out the window, and I do feel the retirement posts should stop, I think that’s the a portion of news he should pay his respect on and wait.
Yep i 100% agree with you. I think hes reliable and still a great source to the community, but he has altered an aspect of football entirely, and it kills a bit of the magic that transfers and news once had in the sport

You have to also remember that there is something in football called a hijack, when Fabrizio reported reguillon to united (Which is the club i support😅), it was set to be done, but then Spurs swooped in at the last moment and hijacked the deal,...similarly for ziyech, the player had literally flown from chelsea to PSG, but it was a mistake on chelsea's side and the transfer window had already closed, ziyech was very upset, and had to be apologised to by the club.....not Fabrizio's fault, he simply reports the news as it comes....if you only read what fabrizio says without getting anymore context to the situation, i understand it may look a certain way, but i dont agree he got it wrong, cause he simply reports what his sources tell him, he doesnt pull it out of thin air.

I'm neither a fan nor a hater. But if you are a football fan who doesn't know any transfer journalist then you should follow Fabrizio and that's it,you'll know every major transfer news.
But if you know club specific journalists then you'll know the news hours/days before Fabrizio announces.
Because Fabrizio rarely breaks the news these days,he just confirms the news.
For Example: I'm a Barca fan and I'm on twitter so I follow journos like Matteo Morreto, Toni Juanmarti, Fernando Polo,Sam Marsden,etc. Most of the time these journos break and confirm almost all tranfer news before Fabrizio(because these journos only cover Barcelona so naturally they will be quicker).
Now coming to Messi news. It was the most incredible transfer of all time. Every single transfer journalist(inc all the Barca specific ones that I just mentioned) said Messi was staying and he was. He came to Barcelona to sign the contract and Laporta said I'm sorry we can't register you contract,Laliga didn't give us the green light that we expected.
Barca had prepared the announcement picture and everything. It was going to be announced on August 5 but out of nowhere an Italian journalist GIANLUIGI LONGARI said Messi is leaving and social media went nuts. 2/3 hours later Barca officially announced that Messi is leaving despite wanting to stay.
Every single journalist was wrong in this transfer saga.
