I've just done this same mod and put them on my 2023 bobber, and I think I have the same issue as you that you have to slide the shroud back to make it fit. I can't find any way to install them and have a bit of the stainless slash cut on show like almost every other video pre-2023 has. Did something change on the 2023 model as on all other videos the V&H shroud seems to slide over the stock pipes, and then the V&H tapers up in size. On the 2023 something seems different. No idea if that makes any sense to you but you do kind of elude to it around 4:40 in this video.
I don’t, both of my bikes are really loud though and I probably should, but I was in a band through most of my 20s and I don’t think I’m getting that hearing back anyways 😂
Love your videos, I have a 2022 60. I will never understand what it is about the exhaust thing. The exhaust sounds fine - Voiding your warranty, and making a louder sound which is annoying to 90% of ppl never makes since to me, sorry I will never understand the thought process - "Well, to me it sounds better but I just screwed myself and annoyed others" BUT I do love your bike :)
Thanks for the comment and the support of the videos I really appreciate it. Adding aftermarket slip on exhausts will not in *most* cases void a warranty, and if you keep the original pipes you can always put them back on if there’s a warranty issue with something else on the bike. (Source - I work for Indian) :) As for the sound, I think it’s all personal preference and customizing the bike is a big part of the fun of owning one. I do understand the annoyance part and personally am not a fan of big straight pipes that are obnoxious. These slip ons give it just enough sound to make the bobber a little tougher without going to that obnoxious point. In future videos you’ll get a better idea of what it sounds like out on the road, I don’t think it’s too loud at all. Thanks again for watching :)
I live in CA, and I'll tell you having a silent bike is a sure way to get your ass bumped into or ran over. There are too many people distracted by their phones. I have mines death wrenching loud scares the shit out of drivers, makes them lock up and back up, no joke. I'll make it less loud soon as they get off their phones ( Never ).
If you want to be heard, then why don't you tape the horn button down while you ride? That would make more sense because the horn is in the front of the bike rather than the exhaust pointing to the rear.
Put them on my 2023 Indian Scout Rouge. TOO LOUD! Obnoxious! Modified my stock exhaust by drilling the baffles with 1 inch hole saw. PERFECT! The Vance and Hines slash-cuts are like $50 Amazon exhaust tips (they do not abate sound) but cost $900.00. Also, I found the included hardware kind of chintzy.
That’s the first negative thing Ive heard about them! To each their own though, it sounds like going for a raw loud sound wasnt what you were aiming for so the V&H never had a chance. Safe riding out there!
Could not hold back a huge grin when you started it the second time. Just ordered a Scout Bobber and looking for options. Thanks guys!
I’m so happy that you had that reaction. Have fun building out your bobber and enjoy riding it. Thanks for watching!
Purchased my bobber yesterday. Ordered these pipes today. I think it’s gonna be a good summer😎
Absolutely it will be!!
Just got a new Rogue on Saturday and these are guna fit in nicely! Thanks for the video guys.

Yep know exactly what you mean. There is no documented change that I know of but it does seem to show just a tad for some reason. Truly was confused.
Next you should have ran it without the slip on to see the 3 decibles
Ah that would actually have been a great idea. Good call.
very helpful. ill definitely be doing this when i get my bike
Your grom??
No re-tune required?
Nope! You can always tweak the tune if you like but these are plug and play.
That thing gonna make them turn heads!!!
Can’t miss me now 😂
After this did you need tuning in a dyno???
You don’t! But it’s not a bad idea!
Yep, folks say loud pipes don't save lives. Yes they do, you can hear me 4 cars back.
Absolutely
What about infront of you. Dont really need to worry about someone 4 cars behind you
Do you ride with ear plugs? I want to do this when i get my bike lol

@@xmotojack lol i feel that i work construction so im around deafening noises all day 😂
How much were those slipons?
I wanna say they retail for $750 or something
Was this with the baffle or without?
Stock exhaust pipes have the baffle, the new slip ons have no baffle
@@xmotojack thank you 😏👍🏻
Are those the new Vance and Hines PCX slash cut slip-on exhaust pipes?
The PCX 3 twin slash slips yes!
