I just realized this was literally them saying "THANK YOU!" to their fans! I think that is so cool that they not only have that awareness but also that they took the time do this! I was 6 when this came out and I memorized the entire dance in a few hours after recording it on Disney channel (back when they showed music videos)!
This was from their Millennium album from mid 1999. Therefore I was 7-8 years old. Nick Carter was my biggest crush 😍. I remembered dancing and singing on the top of my lungs to this, I Want It That Way, The One, I Need You Tonight and Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely to this everyday. Millennium and Black & Blue(2000) were/are still my favorite album of theirs
This was the biggest jam when it came out. Check it out. The first time I heard this song was in the car in my buddies on the way to cicis and lazer x. We were all like 7 or 8. When we got back to the house that night, we watched the Disney channel premier of Lizzie McGuire. Great day in my childhood.
They actually had hoverboards in the live show! They were suspended from the rafters and they rode them during the song! They flew over the crowd! It was one of the coolest concerts that I ever went to.
I was 10 when this album came out. I have only an older sister grew up with the boy band phase etc. I'm 33 now and a metal head/ hip hop enthusiast. And not gonna lie still listen to this song as a grown man for nostalgia in the 90's lol
When the beat starts and then Aj's crazy ass laugh **the feels*** lol oh and I was like 11 or 12 when this came out. And, there is a BSB documentary. It's called Show'em What You're Made Of
I was like 9 years old lol! but didn't see most of the late 90s videos until mid 2000s of course. wow I never knew this was a thank you song for us fans! also this was the most expensive music video made of the time.
Lance Bass produced a really good documentary called, "The Boy Band Con: The Lou Perlman story," which you can see here on UA-cam. Very informative and outrageous. I highly recommend watching it if only to learn how to read a contract before signing it.
I was 25 and working on a ship (P&O). I was part of the entertainment crew. Back then, on the open seas we could only get certain tv channels, including mtv. I remember watching this video for the first time, sitting in the crew mess and thinking it was so cool. Thats when i was bitten by thr BSB bug and have been a huge fan ever since ❤
I was 9 when this album came out and sent every girl in my age bracket into a frenzy. That concert was the best thing that happened to me that year. Thanks mom for getting up with the other parents and being in line at 4AM for tickets
I was ten when this came out and I remember the first time I watched the video and I was like wow. I hadn't seen anything like it before on a music video. I think it still is to this day one of the most expensive music videos.
I was 14?when the song came out. And all I can remember of the video was Nick in that yellow robot-kinda suit. The rest of the video I can't recall. But strangely enough, I can still sing along to the song 😂
I was 3 yrs old and grew up listening to BSB with my two older sisters! When we would shower my mom would sing, "Everybody, wash your body!" 😂 It was such an amazing time listening to them throughout my childhood and even now as an adult 💕
I was 14 and quite impressed with the video, and the moves in particular. Me and bunch of my friends actually did this, and some other choreographies. Good times :D
I was 14 when this song came out, btw Lou Pearlman was the creator of Backstreet Boys , N,Sync and O-Town . He screwed all them, Hard , and went to jail for it. I think there's several documentaries about them.
I was 33 yrs old when this came out.... And they are still on my Ipod! And yes I am a Gen X'er who watches UA-cam constantly.... Because in my head I am 12.
I was almost 20 when this was released. We were living in England at the time (Air Force "brat") and got to see the Millenium tour at the O2 Arena. I still remember the whole crowd stomping along to Don't Want You Back. ❤️❤️❤️
I was 9 years old when this came out in 1999! WOW and I'm 31 now lol. I remember when this premiere on TRL. I went crazy cuz I was a big fan of BSB as a child. Just discovered your channel literally last night and I am loving everything so far.
I was 17. 😁 I remember when NSync came out everyone that I went to school with thought it was the backstreet boys and said I didn't know my music because I told them it was 2 different groups.
I Was 15 When Millennium Came Out. Imma HUGE BSB Fan. I Love Them Wholeheartedly. They Like Family To Me. Imma Brian Girl. His Voice Is Amazing. He Has The Voice Of An Angel. I Would Also Love It If You Reacted To Some Of Brian's Songs. He Made A Gospel CD.
the first 2 members of the group the one on the surfboard and the one in the ship flying it are Brian and Kevin they are cousins the other members are Nick who was dancing with the robots Howie and A.J. you have to check out their concert video with New Kids on the block! the group was called NKOTBSB! me and my sister knew the dance moves for most their videos!
Larger than life came out in 1999, so I was 16 years old and I was a Nick fan mostly, but I loved all their voices, especially harmonizing together.. They still sound amazing today with their new music. I love their newer song called "God your mama and me" and I really would love it if you'd react to that song soon as you can. Please and Thank you so much. Love all your videos
I was 16 too! I was in loooove with Brian but I flip-flopped and turned into a Nick girl when his solo album came out. He was so good on The Masked Singer, too! (My apologies if that's a spoiler.)
@@melanieswritingplans I need to start watching the Masked Singer again, but I have so much going on I don't really have the time to sit and watch it. Amazing fan dedicated songs. ❤
@@25mjs03 The One is a love song. The Perfect Fan is a song dedicated to their fans
I was 5 back then 😂did you realise that this is a thank you song for the fans?
Brian wrote on it
Fun fact: this song was written for the fans as a thank you.
Can we also talk about how AJ is rocking the crop top! 💕
Hey yeah, AJ can do whatever he wants. 🥰
ABSOLUTELY! 👏🏼 He looks damn good in it too!
DEM ABS THO!!!!
AJ arguably has the most beautiful voice and best style. I didn't think so before, but now watching as an adult, he's my new fave
Only him would dare to wear it and he wear it great

I was 35 years old when this song was released. And it still sounds great after 23 years.
The choreography is always good for BSB because Fatima Robinson choreographed most of their dance breaks.
I was just thinking, "someone black choreographed this"
One of the most expensive music videos of all time.
How much coast this video?
At the time in 1999 it was 2.1 million
Time travel isn’t cheap.
@Ant Cannone underrated comment!
Ranked 16th - $2.1
No. 1 MJ - Scream $7M
