brent newman I find that red wine goes better with seared Ultramarine. You may be right about the seasonal veggies though. If I'm being honest with myself, I am incredibly partial to my rosemary/bacon/cranberry dressing & Grey Knight stuffed Portobello mushrooms. Oh, and speaking of Orks, I love making a provolone/swiss cheese sauce with hefeweizen for my Orky Cheesesteaks. Best part is the mushroomy flavor is already there.
Najsu, my home brew Chapter "The Dark Knights" where made from Grey Knights Geen-Seed. My Astartes are pariahs not psykers(because why not?;) The Dark Knights are armored in "Etherium" Power Armour and armed with storm-bolters and "Katharsis" power weapons.
Nope, physically and mentally Dark Knights Astartes are on the same level as Grey Knight's that's all. I'm totally aware to not f*cked with the lore of WH40k. On the other hand The Dark Knights Chapter is very small, there are only 3 Brotherhoods(from the original 10) Long story, short after their creation the Dark Knights where send on Crusade in to The Eye of Terror(What could possibly go wrong?) Chapter was decimated but survivors returned into materium and now are fighting like any other Astartes Chapter(but they have grudge against Inquisition and High Lords of Terra)
I've always thought it seems like a waste to let aspirants die. Even passing the first few trials proves they would make fantastic guardsmen if nothing else.
But it razes a question/possibility is the Hive mind going for Terra as a feeding ground or is it looking for a host for its mind so it can be a corporeal entity without relying on hive queens as proxy. And if will it use big E as a host. This one is going on the next podcastus XD
I personally would love to become something akin to a Grey Knight but that doesn't view the Emperor as a God to be blindly served. I would serve the Emperor's ideals of the Imperial Truth and I genuinely believe that a secular rationalist society emphasizing that humanity stand on its own two feet is the path to true happiness as many prominent philosophers believed. My physical shape is pretty good but I'd condition it more because just the initial tests would require a Delta Operator's level of physical fitness if not more. I think I would give it my best efforts but I'm not going to delude myself and say I'd make it. I will not break mentally but as to whether or not my body is strong enough for the tests and the eventual Astartes augmentations, is not entirely within my control. It would be a HUGE honor to have even been considered "Pure enough" to be brought for testing. I would feel like Guts (from Berserk) and the Doom Slayer in terms of the amount of straight pain I'll be bringing to demons. Great video, love your content, been watching for a couple of months as I got into 40k. Gonna finally hit that subscribe button. Keep at it
Listening to how the Grey Knights are Pretty Much Uncomfortable I realize something (Spoilers for Space Marine) The Main Protagonist has dealt with the energies of Chaos and came out with not a Scratch or a hint of Corruption, While he was taken away by the black Templar's for questioning he's pretty much a Perfect Candidate to become a Grey Knight. Just wish there was a Space Marine 2
@@Crimson_Sun2486 Heh, I know! I'm so happy to see them make a Space Marine 2. Shame they didn't do the Grey Knight Path but still, I wonder how he will be redeemed since he was taken by the Black Templars

True. Custodians were "hand-crafted" by the Emperor via a more complex process. They are different from the Astartes at a genetic level. Grey Knights are still Astartes, albeit more "pure" and genetically stable than your average Space Marine.

Bearzerker cooking tip: Grey Knight flesh pairs well with mushrooms and sweet sauces.
I would use a port & red wine reduction sauce & serve with colcannon mash & seasonal vegetable's....mushroom's are so Orky.
Roasted with a side of Fava beans, a Cianti would be a fine match!

Mc Häckmäck Fava Beans and Cianti is my prefered pairings for Noise Marines.
Now I'am hungry...hope I have some Ork in the freezer that recipe & beer selection sound's lovely.

Sounds like a pretty tragic tale.
As always great lore finding!
Thanks.
Bobby G : Primaris marines! Much chaos proof!
Grey knight : Can we copyright strike?
Yeah but the grey knights were placeholders for 10000 years :D
YOU SHALL NOT PAAASSSSS!!!!!
I ORDER YOU IN THE NAME OF THE EMPEROR TO STAND ASIDE! GREY KNIGHT: I MOVE FOR NO MAN.
The GREY KNIGHT ALWAYS TRIUMPHS!
GrimDark as hell, baby! Keep it coming.
Always!
Grey Knights are cool, love them..
Another great video 👍
Thank you.

But they would KNOW about the Grey Knights. Can't let the grimdarkness diminish by taking sensible decisions.
Chaos no problem . Except that one that got corrupted by the Genestealer patriarch.
Yup. Purifier Sadon.
We don't talk about that one.

So if a demon feels pure pain just from a name. Would that mean if I screamed Kaldor Drago or Janus loud enough at it. Would it have the same effect?
I think you need to be a grey knight first and secondly to actually be that person, lol.
Also wasn’t there a story a while back where they had to paint themselves in Sister blood because they weren’t pure enough?
To be honest I don't think I ever read that story.
I think that was the black templars. Not 100% sure though
GrimDark Narrator I looked it up and it was in the 5th Edition Codex called « The Bloodtide Returns »
yes, its been a bit of a thorn in the Grey Knights side ever since & I'm suprised that the story hasn't been retconned
What about the grey knight of slanesh?Sure that's a thing that happened.
That's a strange name to call Doom Rider :P
Great video GDN ! Personally I don't think I'd ever make it into the Grey Knights , I doubt I'd ever make it through that trip to Xanadu .
I wouldn't even make it onto the transport ship :D

Given the announcement of SM2, this has somehow aged both well and poorly

And... How are they distinct from the custodes?
Custodes were created for a different purpose and by a different method to Astartes.
