  • Blush pink makeup using a bargain eye palette
I recently discovered this gorgeous eye makeup palette from Revolution and just loved the soft pink colours. This week I show you how to create 2 blush Pink eye looks and I'm pleased to say that its an absolute bargain at just over £5. And you can of course create many more than 2 looks from it.
I look forward to reading your comments as always.
    Have a great weekend,
    Caroline x

You mentioned the other week, that you could do a matrix of lighter weight tinted moisturisers and foundation in terms of coverage - I would LOVE that it would save me so much money trying random items following the marketing rather than the actual in comparison to other products. If you could also add that for powders that would be AMAZING 😊

I am recovering from a back procedure and discovered you about a month ago. I absolutely adore your channel. Full of charm, wit and honesty. I feel I have learnt a lot and really like your take on make up. Particularly concealers and shaping the face and the mascara edits and natural look makeup. I have a mixture of classy makeup and high st and value every tip you make. Thank you from me and my little whippet pup Cuthbert ( sitting on bed watching you ) xxxx

Hi Caroline, loving all your content, the brushes sound exciting but I don’t like double ended brushes, I put mine in a holder which means one end always gets squashed and splays out.

I love the idea of a brush collaboration. I've been thinking about this. Racking my brain for some thing that is missing in the marketplace and here's what I think. I love the real techniques brushes, but they are just way too thick at the handle and base. If you could design some brushes at that price range, that have a similar feel, but with a pointed base, so you could fit a bunch in a make up stand or cup that would be awesome. Also, I think some synthetic eye brushes that work, as well as natural hair brushes would be amazing. What I'd love to see even more than brushes, though, are blushes bronzer, and highlighters. You have such an incredible color sense I think you would create the most gorgeous blushes for every skin tone. Cream blushes, please!

One of my most used eye shadow brushes is a small, detailed angle brush-which I use of the outer corner of my eyes + the inner corner, with a darker shadow. For my face, I use a medium sized fan brush often-I like the lighter application for bronzer/blush.

Lovely, as always! How exciting to do a brush collection! This might be a niche request but I think shorter handles would be really helpful. If you’re short-sighted and need to be up close to the mirror, long handles get in the way. I often end up using ‘travel’ brushes because they are smaller. A nice, simple collection of good, short-handled brushes would be lovely (and unique, I think). My only other comment would be to do the 3 most-used eye brushes - so often in big sets there are loads of every shape and size and it’s just overwhelming! You know us, Caroline, and I’m sure whatever you go for will be fab! 🤓

  • @katemakeuplooks

Many congratulations on the brush line, Caroline 😊❤ I have rheumatoid arthritis so the shape of the grip and handle is very important to me. I have many brushes that I love but which are let down by being difficult to grip. Something that’s non-slippy would be a good start, with an ergonomic handle shape to fit the hand. A foundation brush, face powder, contour/blush, eye blender to fit in crease and eye liner brush are the basics - in spite of having a huge collection of brushes, they are the only ones I use regularly. Really looking forward to seeing the collection! Have a great weekend all! xxx

Now you've made me want hob nobs 🤣. I find it so difficult to find a lipliner the same shade as my lips (a cool mauvey pink colour). I get excited when I hear the name "mauve" but often they have warmth in them which ends up looking brown on me. If you come across any lip pencils that are a true cool toned mauve pink please share! The closest I got was Essence Satin Mauve which they discontinued typically. If it'd been a tad lighter it would've been perfect. Re brushes always looking for a smaller size crease brush - for those ageing eyes lol- that can also blend. I have difficulty finding an eyeliner brush I like too. The best one I have found is actually a lip brush by Boots 17 - discontinued of course. Sorry for rambling 🤣. Emma x

Love this look! I did a session with Anna which was wonderful (for anyone reading I could not recommend this more!!) and I learned so much about my color code. That said, you’ve mentioned having her back or you doing something focused on how much makeup plays into what you’re wearing. I would LOVE to see that. I still wonder sometimes if I lean too cool or warm with my makeup and also if I wanted to experiment with my hair color. Would be a fun and great “episode of your show” :)

That is such a pretty look. I was wondering if you would show us examples of looks for the color of clothes you wear. Like different looks if you are wearing Navy or red or green or any color. a look for cool tones or warm tones. Trinny's book has made me rethink so much and to watch you apply a look for a particular color would be so interesting and helpful. I was on one of those huge webex screens at work and I thought, oh dear, that's not good!!! help!

A really lovely look this week Caroline. It's so exciting to hear that you'll be working on a set of your own brushes. Not sure if anyone else does this, but as my eyelids have become more lined, creased, and mobile, I find I'm using smaller brushes to prevent fall out, and to ensure powder placement accuracy. I find the bigger brushes are just too much for me now. So thought you'd like to give that some thought.

Double-ended brushes, please, Caroline! Fluffy tapered one end for blending and perhaps smaller flatter the other end? And small face brushes for precise areas made with softest bristles so that they don't irritate sensitive/rosacea. A few double ended brushes that have specific, targetted areas would be very exciting!
Love this chic pink blush look; so warm and cosy and soft. I like the second look because I need a stronger eye for my glasses otherwise my eyes look small and piggy, but my best friend who has glasses that magnify, would love the softer first look, so thank you for both, as always, Caroline. Hello from Across the Pond! Love your soft but defined approach. If I might suggest: As you say, there are so many brushes out there, even those by an influencer might get lost in the crowd. Why not design a set with angular -square or triangular- handles, perhaps with a textured finger grip area molded in? So many of us are developing dexterity problems with our aging hands. I currently wrap my makeup brush handles with tiny rubber bands, but occasionally, one snaps! and I get quite a surprise! I'm sure you could come up with something sleek and stylish but still ingenious for all users. Thank you for showing favorable use of a product brand few take seriously here in the USA. And what a beautiful look!

I cant speak for others but I know I can no longer carry off a heavy eye makeup look without looking like Ive gone five rounds with Tyson Fury! As for the brushes, how exciting for you!! And us! As one of the other ladies said, smaller eyeshadow brushes for us heavily hooded eye types would be brilliant. Either way, I know what you bring out with be well thought out and extremely useful. Lovely looks as ever. How exciting re the brushes!
My two pence if helpful…Any brushes for hooded or smaller eyes, particularly a tapered crease brush. A blending/smudger brush that you can use for eyeliner or shadow. Often hard to find one with the balance in firmness and softness that doesn’t tug your skin and make your eyes water 😢
Last one(promise) a smaller blusher brush for lighter placement / strong pigment - like the smaller highlighter brush you used with the blush. Blusher brushes on the market are quite round and large and that’s not what you always need.
I think you should make our own line of cotton buds too
    Thanks so much ❤❤
